Your predisposition by birth and your current surroundings influence what qualities are enhanced and prominent in your life at the moment. For example, city life makes you direct, hard, and fast. But spending time in the spa makes you slow, soft, and indirect. Now, any of these qualities can be serving you at certain times, none of them are generally good or bad. But enhancing certain qualities before you need them, can be a very effective way to improve the experience of any situation you might find yourself in. This specific meditation will enhance the quality of “hard”. This can be useful before a difficult work meeting, or before a competitive sports game. In whatever way the quality “hard” can serve you, use this mediation to enhance it.

Welcome to today's meditation.

Find a comfortable seating position and slowly come to stillness with your eyes closed.

Today's meditation will enhance the quality heart so that it can serve you.

The quality heart makes you assertive,

Strong,

Confident and gives you stability.

In the next minutes we will let go of the quality soft and embrace the quality heart.

Take a few breaths now to arrive in a calm state of mind.

Take your time,

Let a few more thoughts wander around your marvellous brain for a moment before finding absolute stillness and first of all let us neutralize the word heart.

Neither hard nor soft are good or bad,

They are merely qualities.

So just take a moment to neither vilify or celebrate either of them,

They are just qualities that can be useful at certain times.

Take a few breaths now to neutralize your attitude.

Now try to focus inwards,

Check in with yourself.

How do you feel?

Do you feel the quality hard or soft dominant within you?

How does your mind feel?

How does your body feel?

How does your spiritual self feel?

What is your emotional state?

How much of the quality hard and how much of the quality soft is present within you at this very moment?

Feel yourself and connect to yourself.

So now,

Before we say goodbye to the quality soft,

Let us be grateful for it.

Or consciously create gratitude for the quality soft.

Soft can serve you,

It allows you to relax,

It allows you to be empathetic and connect with other humans on a deeper and more meaningful level.

In this moment,

Softness is not needed anymore.

So take a moment to thank your soft quality before you let it go.

With every breath you take now,

Feel the quality soft disappear.

Trust that it can come back whenever you allow yourself to let go of the quality soft.

Imagine a conversation you will have after this meditation and picture and observe yourself how strong and assertive you are.

You are able to talk how assertive your body language,

How easily you stand your ground.

Embrace hardness.

Embrace hardness in your mind and your body.

Feel your breath hardening.

Deep,

Regular,

In control breathing.

Feel your thoughts hardening.

Confident,

Assertive,

Stable,

Hard thoughts.

Feel your attitude hardening.

Proactive,

In control,

Leading,

A heart at it.

For the next five exhales,

Say the word hard in your mind every time you breathe out.

Say it five times in your mind.

Feel your entire body and mind slowly reconnect with the world around you Without losing your hardness,

Slowly become conscious of where you are and what you want to do next.

Stay hard,

Both in your body and in your mind,

Out of your meditation.

Slowly move some fingers whilst staying hard.

Slowly open your eyes whilst staying hard.

Stay hard.

This is the end of your meditation.
