Good morning and welcome to this morning meditation.
We're going to begin by either sitting with a straight,
Aligned spine,
Or you could choose to remain lying in bed.
And just begin by bringing your full awareness to the present moment.
Feel the weight of your body,
Whether you're lying or sitting.
And let your shoulders soften,
Release and relax your jaw.
Soften your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your face.
Let your eyes rest gently behind closed lids and just let yourself arrive fully present right here,
Right now.
This first moment of presence is a signal to the mind that it's time to slow down and throw away any to-do lists,
Any thoughts about what's coming.
Just simply being here is enough for this moment.
And now begin to take in a deep,
Slow breath,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Inhale and feel your lungs expanding,
Filling with the clean air that you're breathing in and filtering through your nostrils.
Exhale and allow any tension,
Stale air and stagnant energy to just release through your mouth.
And do that again,
Breathing in deeply,
Filling up your lungs,
Holding it at the top gently for a few counts and then exhaling completely.
And continue with these deep breaths at your own pace,
Slowly and mindfully.
As you're breathing deeply,
You're oxygenating the blood and you're calming your nervous system and energizing each one of your cells.
Breath is nature's reset button.
It's a direct line to physical and emotional balance.
And so often we find ourselves breathing shallowly without being conscious of doing so.
So take this time as you begin your day to really even out and steady your breath,
Fully taking in as much oxygen as your lungs can hold and allowing that to nourish and support your body and your well-being.
You can visualize your breath as a golden healing light entering your body with each inhale,
Spreading warmth,
Clarity and life force energy to every cell.
And again,
As you exhale through your mouth,
Releasing any old,
Stale energy that does not serve you.
With your intention,
Your breath becomes a bridge between body and spirit.
You're awakening your system and you're nourishing your vitality.
And as you continue breathing in this manner,
Gently bring your awareness to the base of your spine,
Visualizing a strong root like that of a tree trunk extending downward from you and into the earth.
With every breath,
This root grows deeper,
Anchoring you into the steady core of the earth.
And just feel your connection to the ground beneath you,
Stable and unshakable.
With each exhale,
Continue to release any stress,
Fear,
Or tension down into the earth where it can be transformed.
And as you continue with your slow,
Deep breaths,
Gently turn your attention upward,
Imagining a soft light descending from above,
Pure,
Radiant,
Infinite divine light,
The light of your higher wisdom,
The energy of love,
Truth,
Peace,
And all the blessings you wish for yourself.
And feel that light gently pouring through the top of your head,
Filling your mind,
Your heart,
Your whole being.
And imagine that light extending out even beyond your physical structure into the field of energy around you.
And remember that we are never alone,
That we are held and guided,
And that we are part of something greater than ourselves.
And as you continue focusing on this light,
Allow it to fill you up,
Cleansing and uplifting you,
And allow it to awaken your inner clarity,
Aligning you with your highest self.
And as we are continuing to breathe,
Feeling grounded,
Feeling connected to the divine,
Begin to bring to mind something that you're grateful for.
And this could be as simple as just your breath,
The breath that you're inhaling and exhaling as you're doing this meditation.
It could be your physical structure,
Your body,
Your hands that serve you well,
Your feet that carry you every day,
Your heart,
Your mind.
It could be a loved one,
A family member,
A dear friend,
A pet.
It could be any one of the many,
Many experiences that you've had in life,
The things that you do,
The services that you provide,
The services that you've received.
Just think of one or several of the things that you are deeply grateful for,
And focus on how good that feels,
And focus on where you feel that gratitude,
Where in your body it's most clearly expressed.
And allow that gratitude to fill you up.
Allow your heart to expand with gratitude in the same way that sunlight fills up a room in the morning.
When we focus on gratitude,
It can truly transform our perspective and shift our energetic vibration to one of abundance,
Opening the door to more and yet more joy and peace.
So just allow this feeling of gratitude to expand throughout your whole body and ripple out into your day,
Touching all that you do and everyone with whom you interact.
And as you return to the rhythm of your breath,
Feeling the aliveness in your body,
Noticing the stillness of your mind,
Feel grounded,
Connected,
Supported,
And guided by your own highest wisdom.
Take one final deep breath in,
Hold,
And a long,
Slow,
Gentle breath out.
May your day unfold with clarity and peace.
May you meet every moment with presence and purpose.
May your heart be open,
Your body strong,
Your spirit light,
And may you remember you are always supported,
Always loved,
And always enough.
Gently begin to move your fingers and toes,
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Welcome to this new day.
