Gently beginning to bring your awareness more internal.

If it helps to close the eyes,

Letting that happen,

Letting your body stretch and move,

Eventually finding its way to a comfortable place of stillness.

Of course,

If your body wants to keep moving,

That's perfectly okay.

Bringing awareness to the breath,

Beginning to notice the sensation of the inhale moving into your body and the exhale flowing out of your body.

Connecting with the natural rhythm,

Acknowledging the gift of the breath.

The flow of the breath connecting us to all that exists beyond us.

Inviting our capacity to breathe in and receive from the external world that which will nourish us.

And as we exhale,

Breath allows us to release that which does not serve us.

Offering it over to the world beyond us.

Each breath and experience of the sacred balance receiving and releasing.

Now I invite you to bring your attention to the activity happening in your mind.

Noticing what's going on up there.

Noticing what thoughts are happening.

Noticing any sensation that is present.

Noticing what's not happening.

Perhaps there's a sense of calmness and quiet in the mind right now.

And now intending for the breath to flow up to the mind.

Breath joining with whatever activity is happening in the mind.

Witnessing what happens as the breath begins to dance with the mind.

Perhaps the rhythm of the breath can find synchronicity with the mind.

Trusting the wisdom of the breath as it flows through the mind.

What nourishment is the mind receiving as the inhale moves through?

What is invited to be released from the mind along the exhale?

Bringing attention now down to the heart space.

Notice what you notice as you bring attention to your heart center.

Perhaps there is a certain color or image that arises.

Perhaps a certain somatic experience or sound.

Being witness and being present with whatever is happening in your heart space right now.

Maybe you sense that your heart center feels open or closed.

Or somewhere in between.

Maybe you sense that it is wounded.

Or perhaps excited.

And once again,

Inviting the breath to move to this place within your being.

Breath now flowing to your heart center.

And witnessing what happens without expectation as the breath flows to and from this place within you.

The rhythm of breath and the heart rhythm falling into their own rhythm together.

Witnessing what happens as breath joins with the heart.

What nourishment does breath bring the heart with each inhale?

What is being offered over to the world with each exhale?

Bringing your awareness now down to your core.

Again,

Noticing how this energy center is showing up for you right now.

What activity is happening in your core?

What sensations?

What images?

What emotions?

Once again,

Intending breath to now flow down to your core.

Breath tending to your core.

Witnessing the dance between the activity of the core and the flow of breath.

The wisdom of the breath bringing nourishment in infinite abundance from the external world.

Each exhale,

An opportunity to move energy out that no longer serves you.

But will serve the world beyond you.

Now I invite you to intend for the breath to move along all three energy centers.

Breath now traveling down from the mind to the heart,

To the core,

And back up again and around.

Trusting that the fluidity of the breath can find its way through your being,

Connecting the mind,

The heart,

And the core in its own wise flow.

Noticing how this flow happens.

Perhaps breath moves along the spine,

Our natural physical highway in the body.

Or perhaps there is a different path that the breath is taking.

Wisely weaving together the mind,

Heart,

And core.

Each energy center with its own unique capacities and existence,

Yet also creating an evolving energetic experience as mind,

Heart,

And core.

Interweave with one another and with the breath.

Being present with the experience of this connection through the entirety of your body.

Perhaps this energetic experience expands beyond the physical body,

Joining with the infinite energetic flow.

Staying with whatever experience you are having,

Trusting it is exactly as it needs to be for you in this moment.

Breath weaving together mind,

Heart,

Core.

Breath weaving together mind,

Heart,

Core.

Breath weaving together mind,

Heart,

Core.

You can continue to stay connected in this way to whatever extent will serve you as you move through the rest of your day.

But I now invite you to begin to bring your attention back into external orientation as well.

Allowing your mind to remember the external environment that you're in.

Now starting to hear what is happening in the environment around you.

Feeling where your body is in contact with furniture,

With the floor or ground,

With cushions.

Gently beginning to move your body if it has been in a place of stillness.

Allowing the body to move and stretch in whatever way might feel good.

Sometimes moving your fingers and toes is a good start.

Eventually opening your eyes if you've chosen to close them.

Your attention reorienting back into the external world around you.

May this practice serve and support you and blessings to you as you move through the rest of your day.

Oh gosh, that unmasked deep sadness and loss in my heart but left me feeling like my breath had nourished my mind, heart and core. Thank you, I will return 🙏🏻💚

A revelation! I’ve never been encouraged to integrate my breath and my mental processes before. Didn’t know that was possible, but it is, and it’s fascinating. Thank you!
