Hello and welcome to this meditation.
I wanted to start this meditation with a discussion point about water,
This sacred element,
This
healing element that we have so readily available in our bodies in forms of tears,
And even
our saliva helps us to swallow and nourish ourselves,
And when we cry for a joyful,
The
water that comes from our eyes,
This sacred element of water is also throughout our lands,
Our oceans,
Our rivers,
Our streams,
And being fortunate for those of us who have the use
of clean,
Public water,
Clean water to nourish and hydrate our bodies,
I would like to bring
the method to be fully aware of water and how we use it on a regular basis to cleanse
ourselves,
Our hands,
Our faces,
Our hair,
Our bodies,
Or how we enter it for enjoyment
in the oceans,
Rivers,
Streams,
And pools.
Water is sacred.
Water is a part of our emotional release,
Our inner journey to cleanse ourselves from
our emotional wounds,
Our mental,
Spiritual wounds.
There are natural springs of water across hills and mountains and valleys.
The Celts believed that water was a gateway to the spirit world,
And there are many times
in our cultures and other cultures where water becomes a place of spiritual journeying or
refuge.
It's important to take time to visit water,
To spend time near and on it,
And to take
care of it,
Working in our communities in a small or large way.
Water is often associated with emotions,
Flowing,
Movement,
Feeling emotional and allowing
these emotional waves to flow freely through you.
Allow ourselves to take the journey to connect not only to our emotions and the journey that
they are riding on,
That we,
With our body and spirits,
Ride on,
But to also connect
with water more closely today,
Being grateful with every interaction,
Whether it's rain,
Washing,
Nourishing the ground,
Vegetation,
Or if it's the drink of water or the cleansing
of the hands or body.
Taking that special note and that special connection to honor this element,
And sending
this water gratitude,
And asking this element of water for the deeper healing that you need
to continue your journey.
So let's begin with a greater connection,
With a desire for a greater connection with
this healing element of water.
And I'm breathing this in now,
And if you haven't already,
Begin to gently close the
eyes,
Releasing the shoulders,
Allowing the chest to be open,
Breathing in through the
nose,
Fully exhaling,
Signaling to the body,
Release,
Inhaling,
Signaling to the spirit,
Exhaling,
Release,
Starting with the awareness at the tip of the toes,
Simply accepting them
for as they are,
The awareness to the feet,
With this a greater acceptance,
The ankles,
The shins and the calves,
Accepting them fully in this present moment,
Allowing the
body to do whatever it desires to do with this awareness,
Awareness at the kneecaps
and behind the knee,
A simple acceptance,
The thighs and the hamstrings again accepting,
Continuing gentle breath,
Inhaling and exhaling,
The body feeling good with this awareness and acceptance,
Moving to the hips and the pelvis,
To simply accept,
Moving to the navel and the lower back,
Breathing in acceptance,
And exhaling acceptance,
Bringing that awareness up to the chest and upper back,
Breathing in the awareness and out the awareness,
Accepting this area with the awareness,
And now bringing the awareness to both arms and hands and fingers,
To accept them exactly as they are,
Bringing the awareness to the neck and the back of the neck,
I accept,
The awareness to the face,
The chin,
The jaw,
The eyes,
The forehead,
The back of the head,
I accept,
The awareness to the crown of the head,
I accept,
Having now the full body's awareness and the body feeling fully accepted in this moment,
Asking now for that presence of the elemental energy of water and its life-giving source,
Watering through the pain,
The tension,
The spring forth,
Healing,
Reconciliation,
Respect,
Change,
Seeing a beautiful pouring down of energetic water at the crown of the head,
Washing over the entirety of the body like gentle waves,
Washing the body and retracting from the body,
Allowing these gentle waves of water,
This energetic healing water,
To gently,
Rhythmically cleanse and relieve all things from the body and the spirit and the mind,
No longer needed,
Feeling grateful for this healing source of water,
Allowing the change and the growth,
The new valleys or canyons within the soul,
That have developed through your journey,
Through your healing journey,
Allowing this water at this time,
Filling those divots and cracks,
As healing life,
As healing water,
Bringing a gentle awareness to the toes and the fingers,
Feeling the benefits of the meditation and healing life within the body,
Allowing this gentle energy to settle,
Resting within this space,
And finding a way throughout your day to honour and be grateful
for this element of water in your life.
