Welcome and let's settle in for today's practice.

Let's begin by grounding ourselves in our space.

Feel your feet or back as it connects to the ground.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it,

And then breathe out.

Let's breathe in deeply two more times.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it,

And an even longer breath out.

Take another deep breath in,

Hold it,

And a long breath out.

Let's turn to our intention for today's practice.

A shift in our thoughts to gratitude and recognition of positive elements in our parenting journey today.

Life is going to have highs and lows.

Today we recognize that both can co-occur and we choose to give more mental space to the highs in our life.

To shift our lens to look at the positives.

To calm our nervous system and remind ourselves of the progress we are making in parenting.

Check in with your body and take a deep breath here.

Now let's begin.

Reflect on your day and let your mind begin to identify three things that went well for you as a parent today.

They can be big or small,

Powerful or fleeting moments.

It could be a warm hug,

A peaceful mealtime,

A loving contact nap,

The toys are put away,

A new word was shared,

A new skill acquired,

Or an emotional moment that was navigated with compassion.

Anything that comes up in your mind that you want to honor and recognize.

It can be a moment of joy that your child or children shared with you or it can be how you showed up as a parent today.

Take a few more moments to select the three good things from today that showed up in your parenting journey.

You can say them out loud here or write them down in a notebook or in a note on your phone.

Take this time now to create the space and appreciation of the parts of the day that went well.

In this pause of recognition the lens can shift,

The vision can become clearer.

We are creating the space to look at a different interpretation of our day,

To honor other parts of it that we might have missed.

It is through this continued practice of pausing that we are choosing to think about ourselves,

Our children,

And our day differently.

See you tomorrow as we continue this practice of slowing down and holding space for all the parts of your parenting journey.
