So let's start our meditation,
Firstly by finding a quiet space where you won't be disturbed for a few moments.
Sit comfortably,
Either on a cushion or a chair,
With your feet flat on the ground.
Place your hands gently on your lap,
Palms facing upwards,
A gesture of receiving.
Close your eyes now,
And take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs completely.
Hold for a moment,
And then slowly exhale,
Releasing any tension in your body.
Repeat this deep breathing three more times,
Allowing your breath to become your anchor.
Now imagine roots extending from the soles of your feet,
Deeply anchoring you into the earth.
Feel the stability and strength of the ground beneath you,
Supporting you and holding you steady.
This is your connection to the earth,
The natural flow of life.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Visualize a soft,
Warm light entering your body with each inhale.
This light is the chi,
The life force energy that surrounds us and flows through us,
Seed filling your body,
Nourishing every cell,
Bringing warmth and vitality.
Gently bring your awareness to the present moment.
Let go of any thoughts about the past,
Or any worries about the future.
All that matters is this moment,
Right here,
Right now.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
Feel the beating of your heart,
The gentle rhythm of life within you.
Now place one hand over your heart and the other on your belly.
Feel the connection between these two centers of life and love.
As you breathe,
Silently repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
I am a vessel of love and strength.
I trust in my ability to nurture and care for my child.
I am deserving of rest,
Peace and joy.
Now visualize yourself standing by a river,
Watching the water flow effortlessly around the rocks and any other obstacles.
This river represents the Tao,
The natural way of life.
Just as the river flows,
Trust that you too can move gracefully through the challenges of motherhood.
Allow yourself to surrender to this flow,
Knowing that you are part of something greater.
Now scan your body for any areas of tension or discomfort.
As you inhale,
Imagine drawing in soothing,
Healing energy to these areas.
And with each exhale,
Release the tension,
Letting it dissolve into the earth.
Feel your body becoming lighter,
More relaxed with every breath.
Take a moment here to reflect on the love and joy your child has brought you into this life.
Feel the deep connection between you and your baby,
A bond that transcends words.
Allow gratitude to fill your heart,
Knowing that this journey,
With all its challenges,
Is a profound and beautiful experience.
When you are ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to the room.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Gently stretch your body.
Take one more really nice,
Deep and meaningful breath.
And as you exhale,
Slowly open your eyes.
And I want you to carry this affirmation with you throughout the day.
I am enough.
I am capable.
I am loved.
And a final thought.
Remember dear mother,
That you are not alone.
You are part of the ever-flowing towel,
Connected to the earth,
Connected to the sky and the infinite wisdom of the universe.
