Welcome to this Quick Anxiety Relief Meditation with Dr.
Bushra Khan.
Wherever you are,
Find a comfortable position,
Sit or lie down and gently close your eyes.
Take a moment to disconnect from your surroundings and come into the space of peace.
Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Deeply filling your lungs.
Hold it for a moment.
Now exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing all the air and tension.
Repeat this deep breathing three times,
Each time feeling more relaxed and grounded.
As you continue to breathe slowly and deeply,
Visualize a wave of relaxation sweeping through your body.
Start at the crown of your head,
Gradually moving down.
Relax your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks and your jaw.
Allow this wave to release tension as it travels down your neck,
Shoulders and arms down to your fingertips.
Now,
Gently introduce some affirmations to foster inner peace and calm.
Silently repeat to yourself,
I am safe in this moment.
With each breath,
I release anxiety.
I am grounded and seething.
Allow these words to fill you with confidence and tranquility,
Anchoring you in the present moment.
Slowly,
Bring your awareness back to the room.
Notice the sounds around you,
The feel of the surface beneath you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to acknowledge the peace you have cultivated,
Which you can return to any time you need.
