Sometimes it’s so beneficial to take a moment and admit we have a lot going on. We can have layers of stress from headlines, health, children, jobs, relationships etc. Take a few minutes as an act of self love and care to tap on this awareness of overwhelm and experience the facilitation of the energy flowing which results in resilience and calm. All of my recordings are infused with gratitude and love.

Hello,

This is Reverend Dr.

Dede Moore.

Thank you for joining me.

This recording is an EFT tapping practice for when we're feeling overwhelmed and just have a lot going on.

For many of us,

There are often several different things going on at the same time,

Like the old saying goes,

When it rains,

It pours.

We have feelings about tragedies in the news.

We may have an issue with a family member or friend.

At the same time as maybe some health symptoms or some financial concerns.

It's so easy for us to kind of be on autopilot and not really give ourselves enough validation.

That yeah,

I have a lot going on right now,

A lot of different emotions.

And so that's what we're going to do today.

You don't have to have experience with EFT tapping,

You could just follow along.

So let's start by taking a drink of water if you have some water.

We're mostly made up of water so staying hydrated helps the energy flow.

And then the first tapping point is known as karate chop or the side of your hand.

So you're taking the fingertips from one hand,

It doesn't matter which hand.

And you're tapping onto the whole fleshy side of the other hand,

Opposite of the thumb.

So you're tapping right between the bottom of the pinky and the wrist on the side of the hand.

So just start tapping there at an even steady pace.

Let's take a deep slow breath.

Fully,

Fully exhaling.

Keep tapping and just notice maybe your feet on the ground or your body on the surface that you're sitting or laying on.

Just notice that gravity is working.

And be curious and see if there's anything you can do to get even 1% more comfortable.

Could be just moving your neck around or putting a pillow on your lap.

Adjusting the thermostat or reclining.

And take another deep slow breath.

So you're tapping continuously,

You stay at one point until I call out the next point and you just repeat after me.

You're always responsible for your own well-being and the invitation is always there to personalize when you repeat after me.

Personalize what I'm saying.

So if I say,

For example,

An issue with a family member,

You can personalize it.

Say an issue with Tom or whatever.

Okay,

So we're still at Karate Chop.

Even though I feel overwhelmed.

And I just have a lot going on right now.

I'm here to love and support myself.

Even if that's a foreign concept to me.

I'm open to the possibility.

Just acknowledging and validating this overwhelm.

Is loving and supporting myself.

Top of your head,

You're just tapping kind of willy-nilly around the crown of your head.

You don't have to try to hit one specific point.

Let's take another deep slow breath.

I really do have a lot going on right now.

Eyebrow,

Tapping just on the top of your eyebrow.

You can do one,

You can do both,

You can alternate.

Super flexible.

Take another breath.

Fully,

Fully exhale.

I have so many different emotions.

It's challenging to even identify them all.

I just feel overwhelmed.

Side of your eye,

Right in front of the temple.

Take another breath.

If I do a light body scan.

I can sense where in my body I'm holding this overwhelm.

And it might be all over my body.

Under your eye.

I'm just overwhelmed.

I can't help but wonder.

How much more can I actually take?

Under your nose.

So many heavy things on my heart and on my mind.

Chin,

Take a breath.

I do my best to stay positive and have faith.

Look on the bright side.

Collarbone,

Take a breath.

But for right now,

I'm giving myself a few minutes.

To just be with it.

Top of your head,

Take a breath.

I acknowledge and validate.

I really do have a lot going on.

And I'm willing to offer myself compassion.

Eyebrow.

I really do have a lot going on.

Side of your eye.

And I'm willing to offer myself compassion.

Under your eye.

All of these different emotions.

Under your nose.

Your hands.

Chin.

The helplessness.

Collarbone.

The anguish.

Top of your head,

Take a breath.

The anxiety.

Eyebrow.

The worry.

Side of your eye.

Maybe there's some anger.

Under your eye.

Maybe there's some confusion.

All these different emotions.

Chin.

I really do have a lot going on right now.

Collarbone.

And I just feel overwhelmed.

Top of your head,

Deep slow breath.

I acknowledge and I validate.

I really do have a lot going on.

Eyebrow.

And I'm here for me.

Side of your eye.

I'm doing the best I can.

I'm open to the possibility.

Everybody's doing the best they can.

Take a breath there.

All of this overwhelm is energy.

Chin.

Energy just wants to flow.

I give this energy permission to flow.

Top of your head.

As I return to my faith and my positivity.

Eyebrow.

Reminding myself.

Everything's going to be okay.

And if I look for evidence,

I might even realize I'm fundamentally okay right now.

Side of your eye.

I return to my faith and positivity now.

Everything will work out one way or the other.

It's going to work out.

I return to the present moment.

Chin.

Right here,

Right now.

I am fundamentally okay.

Even if I have resistance to that.

Collarbone.

I anchor myself with the knowledge that I'm here for me.

Top of your head.

I got this.

Eyebrow.

I'm here for me.

Side of your eye.

I believe in my capabilities to endure everything that's going on.

Under your eye.

I give myself permission to look for the truth.

For the gratitude in this day.

Not to bypass the hard stuff.

But as a way of support.

A way of creating capacity to hold all the hard stuff.

I really am going through a lot right now.

And I do have so much to be grateful for.

Collarbone.

I'm here to love and support myself.

Just put one hand flat on top of the other over your heart.

And imagine breathing love and support into your heart.

And just linger here for a moment.

Connecting with our hearts is powerful.

Breathing in and out from your heart.

Love and support.

Faith and positivity.

Acknowledgement and validation.

And the baseline knowledge that everything's going to be okay.

And so many things are okay right now.

I send my blessings to you.

During this time of overwhelm.

Redo this recording as often as you feel the need to.

The idea and the goal.

When we rate the overwhelm between 0 and 10.

We really want to get it down to a 3 or under.

Blessings.
