This humming meditation is an extended version of the one that I created several weeks ago.
For those of you that have asked for me to give more time to the humming that just naturally comes to me,
Of a tune that just comes to me.
So like any other meditation,
I just want you to get into a comfortable position and sort of set the intention of let's just be at peace.
Let's feel peaceful.
Let's perhaps be open to thoughts and things that come through.
And for those of you that want to hum along with me,
Please do so.
If you feel guided to hum your own tune,
Please do so.
But just like a song that is written by a famous artist,
The more you play this meditation,
The more you'll memorize the humming tune.
And perhaps it is something that hopefully brings you peace for the day.
And just like any other meditation with me,
Breathe the way that you like.
For me,
It's always a long and slow deep breath in and out.
How do you feel?
What are you feeling?
Are you humming your own tune?
Are you humming along with me?
Whatever it is,
However you're doing it,
Keep doing it.
There's so much known now with science and discoveries of the power of humming.
It just is known to really help us in our parasympathetic nervous system,
Helping us calm down,
Helping us lower our blood pressure.
It helps us not think so much about our lives,
But more of the everyday moment that we are in.
And so I want you to think about that.
Think about what it is that you get from your humming,
Your song or my song.
Whatever it is,
There is no wrong.
There is no right.
There just is this power of humming.
Hum your tune.
Hum my tune.
Hum a famous song and see where it takes you.
And even more of a challenge,
Let's say today you're struggling or tomorrow and you remember this and you're feeling down.
As odd and strange as it sounds,
Try and encourage yourself to hum a song and see does it help you break the pattern of thought or perhaps the feelings that you have that are causing you to not feel your best self.
All you can do is try.
Try and let's see where humming takes you.
Thank you.
