Our heart beats as the sound track for our lives. It is always there, providing for us life. It asks very little of us and is more responsive than we can ever imaging being. As a result tuning in and synchronizing with our heart can provide a sense of profound peace. Take a moment today and synchronize with me? Photo by Miriam G on Unsplash

When you do a heartbeat meditation,

Your goal isn't just so much to count the heartbeats or even to feel it physically,

But to allow yourself to connect with your heart.

Because you can create a synchronicity in between the waves being sent out by your heart and the waves being sent out by your brain.

And the reason that we do this is because the more connected we are to our heart,

The more connected we are to our feelings and to our body.

And this allows us to make decisions without our mind and our ego and all the stories getting in the way.

We know what we want,

But we often stop ourselves from getting there or feeling or allowing.

So a heartbeat or heart meditation allows you to stay physically within and connect with your intuition.

So with that,

To prepare to go ahead and start,

Get a head into a comfortable position and take both hands and hold them over your heart,

Wherever you can feel your heartbeat,

The breath.

And wherever you are aware of this feeling,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

And your goal now,

As you breathe in and out,

Is simply to feel that sensation.

Note that your heart is moving.

It's beating every moment of every day.

Feel the beat.

Is it beating fast?

Is it beating slowly?

See if you can make more of your awareness to be the heartbeat.

Sink in until you can imagine that you are with the heart as it slowly beats,

As it does all of this work to keep you alive.

It rarely asks for anything.

It does whatever we need on a moment's notice.

It keeps us alive.

That symbol for love,

Always doing the work.

So stay with it for a little while longer.

When your brain,

Your breath,

Or your body provides counter sensations,

Simply sink right back in,

Feeling your heart.

Send it some love,

Right back some gratitude.

It's doing all that work every second of every day of your life for you,

Even before you were born.

Feel it.

Embrace it.

Follow it,

And relax into it,

For just a little while longer.

And now gently come back to give one last emotion of appreciation for your heart.

And before moving on,

Notice how you feel from the beginning of the meditation to now.

Do you feel more connected?

Do you feel more grounded?

Does it become more apparent what you want to do,

What you need to do to take care of yourself,

To love yourself like your heart does?

Take note of that,

And remember that at any moment of any day for the rest of your life,

You'll have this.

Your heartbeat will always be able to ground you with love into this moment,

And help give you an idea of where it is you would like to go.

So thank you for coming and tuning in today.

I hope to see you again tomorrow.

There’s a problem with the recording in the last 2 minutes, the odd word is either missing or muffled
