Okay,
So in this meditation we're going to be focusing on the excessive master energy.
So where the deficient master in us might hide or feel small or feel imposter syndrome or like we're not ready to really open up,
Be a guide or mentor,
Teacher,
Leader,
The excessive master is the opposite end of the spectrum.
So the excessive master might show up as the CEO with a big ego,
The spiritual teacher who's narcissistic or has the,
Let's say,
The one complex.
They think that they are the chosen one,
That God only speaks through them.
That's always fun.
That's usually where cults are born from,
That excessive master energy.
So the excessive master energy might have the energy of being a know-it-all,
Maybe of being arrogant,
Of needing constant attention,
And that might turn into being manipulative or power-hungry.
You'll see politicians go into this energy,
Leaders,
Spiritual teachers,
Professors.
It can really show up in a lot of places,
And it's where the ego tends to get really big.
Isn't that fun?
And the excessive master energy also is something that many of us are really turned off by.
Maybe what we do if we're not excessive masters,
If we don't feel that in ourselves,
Is we start to judge it and criticize it and go into resistance to it.
So perhaps you see it on television or in a friend or in a teacher,
And you're like,
Oh,
I really dislike it,
But you lose your neutrality.
You lose your inner peace because you're fighting it.
So in this meditation,
You might find some of that excessive master,
Some of that ego in yourself,
And it's really great to be honest about that and not punish yourself or judge yourself because some of us,
We inflate and some of us deflate,
And we do both at different moments in life.
And both can be defense mechanisms,
Coping mechanisms,
Pockets of where we're still unconscious of our past,
Of our behavior,
And you can't heal an excessive master energy if you're not honest about it.
And if you don't sense it in yourself,
Maybe it is just that resistance or judgment towards it in other people in your life.
So in the meditation,
Allow whatever wants to come up around this topic to come up and work it from that angle.
You might be like,
Oh,
No,
No,
David,
I do not have an excessive master.
I am perfect.
That's the excessive master talking.
All right,
Now that we've found some amusement,
Go ahead,
Close your eyes,
Take a few breaths as always,
And just start to relax into meditation.
And notice that you can just slide into meditation.
It's a very easy,
Soft shift as your eyes close.
And the excessive master in us might say,
I'm a great meditator,
I'm the best.
So if you hear that voice,
Then it might already be manifesting.
And we can become excessive masters if people give us a lot of praise,
And that praise sticks too much,
And we take it in through our egos instead of through our hearts.
You'll see this in a lot of celebrities,
People of notoriety,
Who don't know how to manage praise.
So right now,
As you're sitting here with me,
I want you to just notice any excessive master energy in your life,
Just like a bubble rises to the surface in water,
An air pocket.
Just let one energy around this rise to the surface,
And just see what form it wants to take.
So is it something in you?
Is it something in someone else that bothers you?
Maybe you have a belief that it's okay to be a deficient master,
That it's acceptable to shrink and be small,
But to grow and be excessively big is not okay.
But to really understand any energy in life,
We have to experience and see the entire spectrum.
In Buddhism,
They call this the middle path.
So perhaps you understand the whole spectrum,
And then you find balance in the middle.
So let yourself really lean into the excessive master energy here.
Feel the quality.
I am the best.
I'm better than.
I'm bigger.
I have the answers.
I have more spiritual awareness than others.
That one's always fun.
Those people are so unconscious.
I'm so conscious.
So in meditation,
Often what we do is we just start noticing the quality of an energy and how we react to that energy.
And once you get past the reaction,
And you can just be still,
There might be some wisdom beyond that.
You might have a realization,
Oh,
That's why I do that,
Or that's why they do that.
I see.
I want you to notice if there's any insight beyond the initial reaction and beyond the initial energy.
And if there is a layer inside of you of excessive master coming up,
Allow it to be there.
Just give it some space.
And notice where it comes from.
Maybe it's come from praise that's stuck too much that the ego took in.
Or from self-defense.
I don't want to look weak or unknowledgeable.
Maybe it was learned from someone else.
This is how you're successful.
You fake it until you make it.
Whether it's in you or someone else,
Just be honest with what you see the energy to be,
And perhaps what its true source is.
When we step into a real master energy,
We're really shining our light into the world,
And that light is helping others walk their path in some way,
Shape,
Or form.
So as an analogy,
Light can't have an ego.
When it shines,
It's just light.
There's a natural energy to it.
And so when you recognize an energy of excessive master,
And you truly face it,
As with all the energies,
With a sense of compassion and patience,
Acceptance and awareness,
It starts to transform just through you touching it with that light of awareness.
So be your own inner master and shine some light on this energy without any judgment.
Every energy,
Even egotistical energies,
Have something to teach us.
They have an origin,
And they have a process of transformation.
As you become more aware of this energy and come to terms with it,
I want you to notice deep inside your heart there's a real authentic sense of humility,
Where you really know your place in the universe,
Your one being connected to all beings,
Neither better nor worse than anyone else,
Offering your part in your light.
There's nothing to shrink from,
And there's nothing to be better than.
Allow your master energy to find its potential and its healthy balance.
And notice that true sense of humility inside you.
It's always there.
It might get covered up by a loud,
Egotistical voice,
But it's more real.
It's deeper and it's inside of you,
Waiting to be tapped into.
And before we finish,
I want to just give you one more piece here around finding balance in the master energy,
Which is we really fulfill and find balance in this space when we become a being of service.
When we open our hearts and we start to shine our light and give back to the world,
That's when the master energy truly rises to the occasion.
And that's how we keep the ego in check and really cultivate the inner master,
By giving.
So for you,
Is that being a mentor,
A guide,
A leader,
A teacher,
A presence?
Start to really own that in yourself.
Feel it coming to fruition.
Really great work,
As always.
Take a nice,
Big,
Deep breath in.
Let it out.
Feel that inner master.
You have one inside you.
Everyone does.
Let it integrate with the other six energies,
The explorer,
The artist,
The lover,
The warrior,
The healer,
A creator.
You can feel them all together,
Vibrating in harmony.
Not excessive,
Not deficient.
You're one being with a whole number of facets.
Own it,
Own your energy,
Be yourself,
And show up in the world.
Great work.
Thank you so much for sitting with me.
I wish you the best,
And I'll see you soon.
