Hello and welcome to the first meditation in our 7 Energies of the Soul series.
Round of applause to you for making it.
The hardest part about meditation is actually sitting down,
So good work getting here.
And throughout this series,
I'm going to walk you through each of the 7 Energies of the Soul.
We're going to work on the deficient part of each energy,
The excessive part,
And then finding balance and really pulling out our essence and our power and finding what our purpose is with that energy.
So we're going to start with the Creator Energy.
And the Creator Energy in us is the part of us that really is here to build,
To make,
To grow into some kind of project.
The Creator in us is the doer.
Perhaps it's the part of you that really grounds your finances or finds success in your career,
Builds a project,
Maybe a non-profit,
Or you secure your home space.
It can be so many areas of life,
But essentially,
It's the energy in you that is here to accomplish and to do.
Now,
Sometimes that energy in us can feel like maybe it's not on course.
And when the Creator Energy is in deficiency,
We may feel apathetic.
Maybe we hide from the world and don't get anything done.
We might have a lack of self-worth or too much self-judgment.
Maybe we start comparing ourselves to others.
In some shape or form,
We may have difficulty finishing projects.
And each of us fall into this on occasion.
And sometimes we go to the other end of the spectrum,
Into excess,
And we'll have a meditation on that as well.
But in this first meditation,
We're going to start on finding some balance if there's any deficiency in our Creator Energy.
So let's do it.
Go ahead,
Close your eyes.
And for this series and for all meditations that I teach,
I always invite my students to actually enjoy meditating.
So this doesn't have to be a chore,
Doesn't have to be work,
And you don't have to hold your body hostage.
So you're not a statue of the Buddha.
Allow yourself to be natural.
Let your shoulders drop.
Breathe normally,
But maybe a bit slower.
Allow your hands to be at rest.
Allow your jaw to be soft.
It doesn't matter what posture you're in,
Just be comfortable.
And then just draw your awareness into the center of your head behind your eyes.
This is going to be our command center.
And what I'd like you to do,
From this space in the center of your head,
With your body nice and calm and relaxed,
Is just notice if there's an area of your life where you feel like your Creator has been in deficiency.
Somewhere you're unable to finish projects or be motivated enough to get something done.
Somewhere you've been hiding your abilities,
Or you've been afraid of failure,
Or just feeling apathy or laziness.
Just allow one area that seems really relevant to this just to kind of arise in your awareness.
And once you have a sense of this area,
Of what it is,
I'd like you to just kind of bring it up onto the screen of your mind's eye,
So you can actually have a visual of what it is.
Maybe you see yourself sitting on the couch or hiding from a project.
See if you can take this feeling and turn it into an image.
It's not uncommon in meditation to almost lose ourselves in feeling or in thought.
So when we look at a clear,
Single image,
It helps us focus.
And a Creator in deficiency may sometimes lack focus.
So bring this image into focus.
And if you can't see,
Just postulate,
Just imagine if you could,
What this image would look like.
And then what I'd like you to do next to the image is create a gauge,
Almost like a thermometer,
Some kind of measurement vertically from 0 to 100.
And ask yourself,
Out of 100% of your Creator potential in this area of your life,
How much are you actually utilizing and living up to?
So it could be 10,
20,
50,
80.
The number can oscillate,
But maybe you find a range.
So in relationship to this area of your life,
How much of your potential Creator energy are you living up to?
So for example,
If you see yourself sitting on the couch and avoiding building a business,
You put a gauge next to that image,
Out of all my potential to creating this business,
Where am I actually at?
There's no right or wrong number,
Just allow one number to really come into your awareness.
And if you're at 100%,
Then you really don't need this meditation,
Then you're not deficient in any way.
So high five to you.
But if it's not at 100%,
I want you to take a look at that gap and see if you can notice what energy is there that's in the way,
That's keeping your inner Creator deficient.
You may see some energy in that gap.
So if you're only at 40%,
What's in that 60?
Is there apathy?
Is there fear?
Is there laziness?
Is there over-comparison energy?
Self-judgment?
Avoidance?
I want you to notice that once you start becoming aware of what the energy is,
And of course there may be layers,
But once you start becoming aware of these energies,
Just by shining the light of your awareness onto them,
They may naturally start to melt off or shift.
You may feel a shift in your body.
It's not uncommon to feel frustration or resistance or to start to fall asleep.
Those are energies that are just starting to come out.
Let them pass if they arise.
Can you face whatever energy has been keeping your inner Creator deficient?
With a loving kindness,
Just face it.
Look at it directly and get some insight.
Perhaps some of the energy melts off the gauge.
Maybe the gauge rises.
Allow yourself to notice any energy start to shift.
And perhaps the image that's here can also start to shift.
So what does the image turn into when you heal and release the energy that's been keeping you deficient?
Do you get up off the couch?
Do you see yourself executing,
Enjoying your work,
Putting in more effort,
Not being afraid?
Allow that image to transform into what you look like when your Creator energy is no longer deficient.
That gauge doesn't have to be perfect.
Notice it's shifting.
And you're really starting to bring your Creator energy into balance.
When you're ready,
You can let the gauge go or now you can let the image go.
Feel that Creator energy in you starting to arise.
Feel the power of it.
You are on this planet to create,
To make,
To do,
To build.
You're here to share your energy.
And you can be enthusiastic about it.
It doesn't all have to be a job.
Enjoy the process of being a Creator.
Take a nice big deep breath in.
Easy sigh out.
Great job.
Great work.
I'll see you in the next meditation.
