All right,

Take a moment here.

Close your eyes.

Thank you for having amusement.

And if you don't have amusement,

If you're just upset or stuck,

That's okay too.

That's totally fine.

Just let yourself be where you are.

I want you to take a moment,

If you're not congested,

Breathe in through your nostrils,

Fill up your belly,

Hold that breath for a moment,

And then slowly breathe out your mouth.

Hold for a moment,

And then again breathe in through your nostrils.

You might even notice which nostril the air comes through more.

Fill up your belly and hold,

And then slowly breathe out your mouth.

You could do that at your own pace a few more times.

As you start to meditate,

You might have questions arising,

You might have distracting thoughts,

You might have an itchy shoulder.

Notice that all,

Let's call it phenomenal flux,

Every moving part of life,

Every sound,

Every object,

Every emotion,

Every thought,

Every itch,

Is happening in the field of life,

In the field of awareness of this big ocean of existence.

And you are just witnessing it.

You're just watching.

You could be mindful and notice an itch,

A feeling,

A thought,

The temperature of the room.

And I want you to do absolutely nothing.

Your whole life,

People have been asking you to do something.

Will you just get a job?

I am just asking you to be aware and to do nothing.

Can you just let yourself be?

You can notice what is pulling on you.

It's likely that if you ask me a question,

That that is what's pulling on you.

Just,

You can notice if there's anything pulling on you,

A person,

A thought,

A feeling,

An energy,

A dog.

And see if you could just be aware of whatever pulls on you and still do nothing.

Just watch and be still with a kind of equanimity or neutrality.

Have you ever attempted to do nothing when something was pulling on you?

It's very counterintuitive.

Notice if the pull has less seduction over you.

It can't hypnotize you into,

I gotta do this.

Do it,

Fix it,

Heal it,

Find it,

Manage it.

And the more you sit still,

The more subtle the pull can become.

Like a good person would get up and do something.

If you had real value,

You would do something.

If you don't want the world to fall apart,

You'll do something.

So we're not resisting any pull or being neutral.

From its very loud form to maybe very subtle,

Subtle form.

So I want you to notice what is one thing in your awareness that's pulling on you,

That has been pulling on you in life.

Maybe it comes around again and again,

Pulls and pulls.

And you just look over at it and you're still.

You let any judgment go.

It could be very seductive.

You failed in the past.

You lost yourself to this.

You didn't get it right.

Things need to be done.

Let all of that energy be there,

Pass.

Maybe at the moment,

There's no answer.

Maybe there's some energy that you're releasing.

And notice the spaciousness of your awareness.

What has more power?

The thing pulling you or your awareness?

And there is a beauty in this process where sometimes things start to shift,

Reveal themselves or resolve themselves as you sit still and do nothing.

You might have an insight.

Just take another moment,

Notice what you notice.

You might have an insight or a realization.

Sometimes they just arise.

Oh,

I need to be more honest,

More present,

Forgiving.

Perhaps you just let something go.

Take a moment,

Just feel your energy,

Feel your body,

Feel your own presence.

Really honor that.

Your truth is in your energy.

It's in you.

It's not something you have to grasp for or figure out like a detective.

Sometimes it just lands.

Really nice work.

So just let things be as they are,

Where they are.

I want you to take a big,

Deep breath in.

Relaxing,

Sigh out.

And with that still,

Calm awareness,

You can slowly open your eyes.

And just start to come back to your opened eye awareness,

Opened eyes awareness.

Really nice job,

Everyone.

And this can be part of your practice.

You sit still.

You notice what's pulling on you.

You notice the energy of the pull.

And you just let yourself be still without having to solve,

Fix,

Heal,

Do anything.

And then just watch the energy unfold.

Thank you.

Good work,

Everyone.
