I don't know about you,

But I've definitely woken up after a night of deep dreams,

Nice dreams,

And felt joyful,

Inspired,

Creative,

Excited.

It's nice to wake up after a beautiful journey.

And I've also woken up after a bad dream,

A little cranky,

Cranky David.

And so tonight,

As we go to sleep,

I wanna help you set an intention for having some really beautiful dreams.

Now,

I can't promise that'll happen,

But if you meditate before you fall asleep and do this again and again,

And train yourself to raise your vibration,

To shift your consciousness more towards the positive,

It's more likely you'll start to open into some beautiful dreamscapes.

So let's allow ourselves to fall asleep into the dreamscape tonight.

All right.

So when you're ready,

Let's get that bedtime checklist out.

Pajamas,

Check.

We've brushed our teeth,

Check.

Lights are off.

We've got our blanket ready.

We're all good to go.

So lay back and relax.

I've recently been dog-sitting this beautiful chocolate lab and his mom gave me a special blanket for him.

It looks like it's for a four-year-old.

It's very colorful.

And he loves to sleep on it.

He loves the smell and the texture and the familiarity.

And it's nice to go to sleep when we have something familiar,

Something that makes us feel calm and comfortable.

And perhaps this podcast is part of that for you.

So let's get calm and comfortable.

As you start to allow yourself to open up,

To fall asleep tonight,

As you start to let your body soften,

Your breath deepen,

And your awareness relax into this moment,

We'll gently begin to set an intention for our dreams.

If we repeat something a number of times,

Focus on it and fall asleep to it,

It's more likely to appear in our dreams.

And what are our dreams?

Our dreams are a journey that part of us takes as the other part of us is asleep.

A dream is where we reflect,

Where we remember.

It's where we process.

It's where we heal.

And it could be where we're very creative.

I like to think of the dream world as having many levels.

There are some of the lower levels where we process the heavy stuff or maybe what we ate for dinner.

There are the mundane levels where memories get washed and cleaned and remembered.

Emotions get rinsed out.

And there are upper levels of deep healing,

Connection,

Wisdom,

And joy.

And then there's the dream,

Creativity.

The dream world is very expansive.

There are so many possibilities tonight.

So I'd like you to choose.

What journey do you wanna have?

What theme do you want to show up tonight?

In your dreams.

As you lay here,

As your body slowly gets heavier into your bed,

Almost like a little seed of an idea sprouting,

Perhaps a feeling or a sense in you begins to arise.

Maybe there's a dream calling.

Would you like to meet a mentor in your dreams,

A partner?

Would you like to paint on some kind of creative canvas?

Do you need to find some kind of healing room where you can just rest and reset?

And there's no right answer here.

See if as you fall asleep,

Something just arises in your awareness.

And you may go more than one place tonight.

But for now,

Just allow one theme,

One energy to arise.

Something that feels really true to you.

Once you land on something,

Just acknowledge it for a moment and see if you could find some affirming words for it.

For example,

Tonight I will enter a dream about being creative with my writing.

Tonight,

I'll take a journey where I explore another dimension.

Tonight,

I'll be healing.

Tonight,

I'll be healing my body.

Tonight,

I'll be healing my emotions.

So whatever it is,

See if you can put it in the affirmative.

Maybe even whisper it out loud or to yourself.

And see if you can say it five or six times,

The same thing again and again.

See if you can give yourself permission to feel it in your body.

Feel the energy of the dream,

Of where you're planning on going tonight.

Perhaps you even start to visualize it.

Maybe you begin by just noticing a color for your dream.

So does this dream have a specific color?

Maybe it has a specific tone,

Like if you were to press one key on the piano.

It's even possible that you start to have a visualization,

An image of what the opening scene of this dream might be.

And let's set the intention again.

Again,

Whispering out loud or to yourself what the dream is,

What the intention for the dream is.

Notice that your body doesn't have to do anything.

It's not even involved.

Your body can start to deepen into sleep.

And your consciousness is gonna take a journey into the dreamscape tonight.

And have incredible dreams,

Beautiful dreams.

And one more time as you fall asleep,

Repeating the intention for your dreams.

Let that intention really seep in and open a door into the dreamscape tonight.
