Creating Your Week With Gratitude & Visualization
Join me in this meditation as I explore the practice of using gratitude and visualization to create a positive week. Highlighting the importance of being present and mindful, rather than constantly striving for optimization or being overwhelmed by external demands. By grounding ourselves in the present moment, we can set meaningful intentions and visualize our goals more effectively. Allowing us to transform our energy and align with our true desires, making meditation an enjoyable and transformative experience.

So,
All right,
Let's start to meditate.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
No cheating.
Maybe you put a light smile on your face.
Maybe relax your shoulders.
Ease any tension in your jaw.
Slow your breathing down by 20,
Maybe 30% or even more.
Just feel it,
Watch it slow down.
It's that poem,
That proverb,
Two men looked through bars,
One saw mud,
The other stars.
Just notice the beauty,
The miracle of this moment.
And this moment is not just the content of the moment.
It's not the fluctuation of all the matter of the situation.
It's more than that.
All the movement of matter,
All the movement of thought,
All the movement of feeling happens in the moment.
Just notice that all the movement in all its forms happens in this moment,
But the moment is bigger than that.
You can look up at the sky and see all the movement of the clouds.
You can see all the movement of the birds,
Planes,
Weather,
Storms,
And yet the sky is still.
The space that everything happens in is what you can start to say hello to.
You might even notice some anxiety kind of dropping out as you realize there's more to this moment than the content.
You may even notice the space in the room that you're sitting in.
Your breath is starting to slow down even more.
And you can start to recognize that you are a being,
B-E-I-N-G,
A being.
And a being is a verb and a noun,
But you're really a being,
A verb.
It's kind of an endless unfolding.
It's like a flower.
If you were with a flower,
It's being.
Just notice yourself being.
And oddly,
There's almost an existential joy in just being.
A natural just joy of being alive,
Of existing.
So beyond all the content of your mind or of what's happening around you in the world,
Notice the natural joy of just existing.
Like when you wake up in the morning and you hear the birds and ruffle of the leaves with the wind,
The trees.
Notice the sunshine.
There's a natural smell that's nice in the morning if you're outside in nature.
There's a joy of just being,
Of living.
I'll go back to that quote from earlier.
Most humans live almost exclusively through anticipation and memory.
Right now,
Notice you don't need to do that.
Even anticipation and even memory pass through this moment.
Planning for the future could pass through this moment.
Regretting the past also can pass through this moment.
It can arise and it could dissipate.
So this moment is where everything arises and then dissipates.
A wave on an ocean,
A sound wave,
An emotion.
An emotion rises and dissipates.
A thought form arises and dissipates.
Any sound,
It arises and it dissipates.
All of life is an arising and then a dissipation.
Let yourself anchor into that beingness.
Notice that stillness and peace that comes with that.
And even if there is this,
But there's something I have to accomplish,
I have to complete,
Figure out,
Even that can arise and dissipate without you fighting it.
Let one of the hard ones arise and dissipate.
That usually takes you for a ride if it's anticipation or stress around the future or a need to figure something out.
Let that feeling and that thought form arise and dissipate without you engaging.
Just notice what that's like.
And then you might even notice a deeper layer.
There's something deeper that might arise and dissipate,
Could be even more seductive.
Some of you shared family,
Work,
Self-worth.
Even those things arise,
They take form and they could dissipate like a wave.
Even the thought,
I can't be neutral to this one.
I can't handle this one.
I'm overwhelmed.
Even those thoughts and feelings,
They arise and they dissipate.
And some waves are longer.
Still,
They arise and they dissipate.
Even the thought,
David,
This one's never gonna dissipate,
Arises and then dissolves.
And sometimes the feeling sticks around for a while in the body,
But again,
It'll arise and it'll dissolve.
And you might start to recognize that deep underlying worry.
Almost like an existential one that we all have that takes countless forms.
Family,
Work,
Relationships,
Money,
Self-worth.
Underneath a lot of this,
There might be this deep existential worry.
You might feel like a baseline.
And every time you go to set an intention,
Create,
Manifest,
Visualize,
This is there.
And this is part of the human condition.
And it may be something you never thought you could actually overcome or face,
But you can.
And even this arises and dissipates.
This,
We can call it almost like a more primordial anxiety or worry.
It might stem from the fact that we're born,
We live and we die,
That everything changes.
And again,
Can you be with this?
I don't know where it's going to go yet.
Just allow it to be here.
It might come with some existential sorrow or feeling of loss.
Just invite it here into this present moment.
And perhaps there are some layers of pain and energy that may start to shed or melt off.
The odd thing about shifting and healing is the more we just allow things to be,
The more they tend to resolve.
It's our resistance and reaction to them that usually takes us on a longer ride.
Sometimes when I release energy,
It almost feels like one bubble coming apart from another.
Like whoop,
Whoa.
Maybe a big chunk just kind of comes off of you.
Perhaps some of that force,
That pull from the people around you from the world starts to come off of you.
It's very possible that a large percentage of this worry is external.
That's just kind of been absorbed into you by interacting with the world.
And now,
As you sit here with me meditating,
It's starting to peel off,
Come off.
As a being that's becoming conscious,
Aware of its free will,
You're recognizing you do not have to absorb the worry and the pain of the world.
And that you can begin to live in reality.
And make sure you're still breathing.
And on the other side of worry can be a deep existential wonder.
Almost a curiosity.
And in that space,
That's where we can start to say hello to the seed of an intention.
So somewhere deep in your heart,
There's a seed of an intention,
Of the direction your soul actually wants you to go in.
And that's where you can begin to let go of what your heart actually wants you to go in.
So maybe it's been dark in there,
Unconscious,
Unsure,
Full of worry.
As that starts to melt off,
There's this seed.
Maybe you kind of open up the palm of your energetic hand and you see it.
You plant it.
And get a sense of the energy that it wants to blossom into.
Just notice,
What is the energetic quality of this seed?
Is it to flower into love,
Connection,
Creativity,
Joy,
Healing,
Groundedness,
Structure,
Openness,
Bliss?
What's the nature of the seed?
And let that seed start to flower.
Perhaps that intuition of what the energy that wants to come to fruition is,
Perhaps it even turns into a vision.
So from kind of a,
Almost nebulous,
I think,
I sense,
I feel this energy,
To more clarity,
Ah,
It's this,
To an actual image or vision,
Or clear knowingness of,
Ah,
This is what it wants to flower into.
So perhaps it even takes the form of a vision.
And the difference between a vision and maybe just having a thought with an image is a vision has a deep intention from somewhere inside of our being.
And it's something that we are creating.
Something that we're here to create.
I want you to ground that vision in front of you.
Really feel it.
It's not something you're inventing or hoping for.
It's something that is coming out of your being naturally that has been there.
Who knows,
Maybe it's been there before.
Time became time.
And it's something that we're creating.
Who knows,
Maybe it's been there before.
Time became time.
Maybe it's been there since you were born,
Before you were born,
Thousand lifetimes before.
And you're finally a conscious enough being to begin to bring it into fruition.
And all the pain and all the suffering and the loss and the unconsciousness and the confusion was all meant to serve you to grow out of the mud.
Back to that proverb.
Two men looked through bars,
One saw mud,
The other stars.
And the truth is there are both.
You come from the mud and you reach and grow to the stars.
So all that pain you've gone through,
All the negativity,
It's actually been fertilizer for you to grow.
Ground that vision in front of you,
Embrace it.
Notice it's present with you.
It's not in the future,
That vision.
It's here in this moment.
Let yourself feel it,
See it,
Know it.
And instead of dancing around the periphery of what you want and pleasing others first,
Waiting,
Hoping,
Avoiding,
You're starting to decide to step into this.
Having a vision is making a decision.
This is what I want to create and allow to come to fruition and to live and experience.
And whether the rest of the world agrees or disagrees with me,
Doesn't quite matter that much.
So step into your own energy and power and really own and have this vision.
And let this seed begin to flower.
And let it take its own form.
It's its own form of life.
So when you're ready,
Just let it be.
Put it out where it needs to be to flower,
To manifest into reality.
Plant it in the field of your vision and creation,
Into the field of your life.
So it's there growing even as you come out of meditation and go about your day.
Wonderful job today.
Take a nice,
Big,
Deep breath in.
Easy sigh out.
And when you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes and stretch.
Good job,
Everyone.
Make sure you stretch.
Move your body a little bit.
If you need to reflect and write something down,
You can.
Oh,
I think that is a good start to our week.
Thank you,
Everyone.
Thanks for putting up with my jokes and my giggles.
And I love you.
Thank you.
I'll see you next time.
Enjoy yourself.
Love you.
Bye.
See you soon.
