Eyes closed.
Relax.
You made it.
You're here.
Take a few deep breaths.
Whether it's your morning,
Afternoon,
Evening,
Wherever you are,
Whatever time it is.
Just say hello to being here in this moment with me.
With this beautiful group of people.
Allow yourself to relax.
It's hard to arrive at enlightenment in your body if you're tense.
Your body will ultimately reject it.
Relax all the muscles in your body.
You can even relax your eyes,
Relax your jaw.
Relax your ears,
Relax your head.
Relax your heart.
If your heart's been going and going.
Relax your stomach.
If you've been holding tension in your stomach.
Any nervousness.
Any excessive feelings.
Relax that too.
And just slow down time.
Slow down time all the way until you're in this moment.
Because in this moment there is no time.
Time is something you experience in your mind.
And we're here today to bring awareness and enlightenment into our bodies.
And part of what that means is accepting our human experience.
You've probably had moments in your life where you felt like you were floating above your body.
Maybe disassociated.
Looking at yourself just hovering from the ceiling.
And it's hard to be in the human form.
There's sadness,
There's pain,
There's loss.
Everything is temporary.
Sometimes we get these feelings of why even bother?
And that's okay.
That's part of the human experience.
And as we meditate we're here to cultivate awareness and shine light into our own beings.
So allow that inner eye to begin to open so you can see inside yourself.
And what is it that you see when you look inside yourself?
What's the first thing,
The first energy that arises?
Just right now take a clear honest look.

Is there a realization that arises?
Is there an emotion?
Is there some kind of energetic block?
Is there a sense of Is there a realization that arises?
Is there an emotion?
Is there some kind of energetic block?
When you close your physical eyes and you relax and you look inside yourself,
What's the first thing that arises without any preconceived notions of what should or shouldn't arise?
There's a seed of enlightenment inside you and you're giving it space to begin to sprout into flower.
And that might mean facing pain.
It might mean seeing through an illusion.
It might mean reorienting who you think you are.
Recognizing you've been lost in thought.
It might literally just mean experiencing the feeling and accepting it.
And the key here,
The secret,
Is to just notice what you notice.
Let go of any technique you think you're supposed to do.
Just notice what you notice.

What do you notice?
Instead of comparing yourself to the Buddha or to some other teacher or what you think enlightenment is supposed to be,
What is the next step of your enlightenment in your body in this lifetime?
You were born into that body in this century.
You live in this century with your family,
Your surroundings,
Your experiences.
Why?
Why?
Perhaps on some level you chose this experience.
Why are you here?
What is life teaching you and what is your enlightenment looking like as it awakens in you?
You may have a realization,
Ah,
I'm on this planet to learn about love,
Forgiveness,
Compassion.
All the pain I've been experiencing or stuckness has been to teach me this.
All I'm asking you to do today in this meditation is accept the energy in the lesson.
And the true path to enlightenment in the body and sustaining enlightenment is through acceptance.
See if you can accept the energy,
The lesson,
The path,
The energy,
What you feel and experience,
The lesson,
What it's here to teach you,
And the path.
This is your life path.
It's not going to look like anybody else's.
If it did,
It would be a waste.
So first we check in with the energy.
What am I experiencing?
Then we ask it what is here to teach us?
What is the truth?
Can you just bring acceptance to this whole space?
Maybe you can just bring it to the surface.
What is the lesson?
And then we recognize this is my path.
Can you just bring acceptance to this whole space?
Maybe you thought it would be something sexier or different or would come in a different form.
Enlightenment will break all your expectations.
Show it that you can rise to the occasion by accepting whatever form it takes.
We don't get to choose what life throws at us or teaches us.
We get to choose how we respond to it.
Make sure you're breathing,
Your shoulders are nice and relaxed.
Perhaps you feel the energy in your heart.
You see it in your mind.
You know it in your being.
See if you can let go of any of that intellectual energy that always wants to figure it out or understand it from an analytical perspective.
See if you can put that part of you down.
Enlightenment and being intellectually smart are not the same thing.
And as you touch this enlightenment in your body,
You may notice that the closer you come to it,
The simpler it gets.
It's so simple,
It's profound.
Any place in you that's been dark,
That's been unconscious,
That's been closed,
Afraid or heavy,
Start shining some of your light in that direction.
Start seeing that energy through the eyes of compassion and acceptance and see what happens.
Don't figure it out or solve it or heal it or control it.
Just look at it through the eyes of compassion and acceptance and see what happens.
So we have the energy,
The lesson and the path.
And allow yourself to feel the integration of whatever you experience inside your body.
Let it seep into your cells.
Yes,
Part of you may be your genetics and your learned behavior from the people around you and your environment.
But there's another part of you that's emerging.
That's the awakened,
Enlightened part.
It wakes up out of the programming,
Out of the patterns we learned from our environment.
It sees through everything that's false and fake.
There's another part of you that is emerging.
It's an emergent property.
Nobody can label it or control it or tell you what it is.
And the people who tell you that everything can be predicted,
Everyone's behavior is pre-programmed.
Yes,
That is true if that's how they live,
If that's where their consciousness is.
But you're awakening out of that.
When you find enlightenment in your body,
You become unpredictable.
You become free.
You become aware.
And there's a natural joy that opens up with that.
You become connected to the rest of life.
And your ego stops being in control all the time.
So before we finish,
I just want to reiterate the energy,
The lesson,
And the path.
The energy is what you're experiencing.
The lesson is what it's teaching you and the realization.
And the path is where you're going in life.
The path could be the flower opening.
It could be the tree growing.
It could be the river flowing.
It could be you walking.
It could be you deepening into being a human being and having love and compassion.
Take a big deep breath in.
Easy,
Soft sigh out.
Great work.

You can let it go if you like.
Slowly open your eyes.
Take your time.
