I'm Daryl.

I'm going to help you follow your heart bravely.

You know,

Sometimes we don't take action in life,

The action that we know that we should,

Because it feels risky.

We might ask ourself,

How do I know that I'm on the right path?

How do I know that following my heart will lead to happiness?

If you want to follow your heart,

You must first be sure that your heart is pure.

Otherwise,

How can you be sure it will take you where you want to go?

If you're not sure of the purity of your heart,

Then before you seek to follow it,

You must start there.

If you want to know that your heart will lead to happiness,

You must start with a pure heart.

Following a wounded,

Jealous or bitter heart will not lead you where you want to go.

Look deeper than that,

To your pure heart.

When following your pure heart,

Not only will everything just feel right,

But the divine will open many doors for you,

Making it easy to go where you want to go.

So work on forgiveness,

Benevolence,

Self-love and gratitude if you need to do that.

Making your heart pure can be easy if you follow a religious practice,

Prayer,

Meditation.

But any charitable or benevolent act will help purify your heart and get you ready to follow it.

Follow your heart when your head's not right,

When loud thoughts keep you up at night.

Follow your heart when your stomach fears,

Through stress and struggle,

Pain and tears.

Follow your heart when you can't see through,

When you can't decide just what to do.

Follow your heart when others doubt,

Its voice is a whisper,

Not a shout.

Follow your heart where it will lead.

Follow your heart and you will succeed.

So remember,

As you get ready to relax deeply,

Don't listen to this while you're driving or operating heavy machinery.

Only listen to this when you can fully relax completely safely.

Don't follow your heart into danger.

Heed this warning.

Your heart is there for a reason.

So is your head.

So are your gut feelings.

Try to take action when all three are in alignment.

So before you learn how to follow your heart,

Let's just look at some things.

You see,

People struggle to follow their heart for a variety of reasons.

Chiefly among them is they cannot hear what their heart has to say.

And there can be many other blocks,

Including feelings of not being good enough,

Fear,

Maybe harboring negative beliefs about oneself.

If you're going to follow your heart fearlessly,

Brave heart,

You must learn to overcome all of these things and more.

This meditation will help you get there.

But there are some simple,

Practical things that you can do as well anytime that can help you.

If you want to follow your heart,

Remember,

You must be sure that your heart is pure.

Otherwise,

How can you be sure it will take you where you want to go?

Keep that in mind.

Okay,

So what can you do?

Here's some tips.

Number one,

Stop and breathe.

If you want to hear your heart,

You will need to give it space.

Give it silence to be heard.

Number two,

Realize that you don't need to know the end of a journey to get started on the path.

Following your path means that you will enjoy the journey.

Following the path of your heart makes a pleasant journey,

And a pleasant journey will lead to an amazing end.

Number three,

Put your hand on your heart.

Do it now.

Do it when you're silent.

Meditate with your hand on your heart.

Ask out loud,

What does my heart want?

Number four,

Journal.

Ask what your heart wants and just start writing whatever comes next.

Number five,

Get in touch with the emotions that you feel day to day,

Not just in your heart,

But all through your body.

Tune into your emotions,

Feel them,

Listen to them.

Listen to your heart,

Negative feelings,

Positive feelings,

Fear,

Joy.

Feel them all and watch them pass.

Number six,

Practice gratitude.

Gratitude will help you find where your heart currently is.

There are many ways you can do this.

List 10 things each day before bed or when you wake up in the morning.

Write 100 things that you're grateful for.

It takes a long time,

But if you do that,

You will truly know where your heart is.

You see,

It's so beneficial to follow your heart.

Your heart is the part of you that is closest to the divine.

It's authentic,

It's real,

And it's powerful.

Once you begin to follow it,

Your life will open up.

You will make the best decisions and you will be confident in them.

You will feel free,

Strong,

And empowered.

Remember,

Follow your heart when your head's not right,

When loud thoughts keep you up at night.

Follow your heart when your stomach fears,

Through stress and struggle,

Pain and tears.

Follow your heart when you can't see through,

When you can't decide just what to do.

Follow your heart when others doubt.

Its voice is a whisper,

Not a shout.

Follow your heart where it will lead.

Follow your heart and you will succeed.

Close your eyes.

As you follow your heart into this meditation,

Why not set this intention?

By the end of this recording,

You will be courageously following your heart.

By the end of this meditation,

You're going to know how to trust and follow your heart,

And you will be brave in doing it.

Put your attention to your head as you breathe deeply.

This is how your head feels.

This is what it feels like to feel your head.

It's safe to feel your head.

Now scan through your body and put your attention to your neck.

This is how your neck feels.

This is what it's like to feel your neck.

It's safe to feel your neck.

And your shoulders,

Put your attention there.

That's how your shoulders feel.

It's safe to feel your shoulders.

And your arms,

Put your attention there.

This is how your arms feel.

This is what it's like to feel your arms.

It's safe.

Put your attention to your chest.

This is how your chest feels.

It's safe to feel your chest.

And your stomach.

This is what your stomach feels like.

This is how it feels.

This is what it feels like to feel your stomach.

It's safe to feel your stomach.

And your hips,

Put your attention there.

This is how your hips feel.

This is what it feels like to feel your hips.

It's safe to feel your hips.

And those buttocks,

Put your attention to them.

This is how they feel.

This is what it feels like to feel your buttocks.

It's safe to feel your buttocks.

And your legs,

Put your attention there.

This is what it feels like to feel your legs.

This is what feeling your legs feels like.

It's safe.

It's good.

And your feet,

Put your attention to your feet.

This is what it feels like to feel your feet.

It's safe to feel your feet.

And your hands,

This is what it feels like to feel your hands.

It's safe to feel your hands.

And your thoughts,

Put your attention to your thoughts.

Just notice them.

This is what it's like to feel your thoughts.

This is what your thoughts feel like.

This is what it's like to feel your thoughts.

It's safe to feel your thoughts.

And your gut,

Your gut feelings,

Your stomach,

That gut sense.

Put your attention there.

This is what your gut feels like.

This is what it's like to feel your gut.

It's safe to feel your gut.

And your heart,

This is what your heart feels like.

Put your attention to it.

You can put your hand over it if you like.

Focus on your heart.

This is what your heart feels like.

This is what it feels like to feel your heart.

So as you continue to breathe,

Relaxed breaths,

Taking a deep breath.

Anytime you want to be more comfortable.

Moving and shifting and whatever you're resting on.

Anytime you need.

Give this suggestion to yourself.

I will feel my body,

My mind and my heart.

I will rest in silence.

Follow your heart when your head's not right.

When loud thoughts keep you up at night.

Follow your heart when your stomach fears.

Through stress and struggle,

Pain and tears.

Follow your heart when you can't see through.

When you can't decide just what to do.

Follow your heart when others doubt.

Its voice is a whisper,

Not a shout.

Follow your heart where it will lead.

Follow your heart and you will succeed.

So I want you to imagine that you're at a fair.

Quiet country fair.

It's early morning.

And people are just setting up their stalls and attractions.

The sun is out but it's not too hot.

It feels fun.

There's a sense of happiness and joy.

That later today as the people start to arrive.

It's going to be a place of fun,

Of community,

Of love.

So you can see the stalls setting up.

You can see everybody getting ready.

Some of the tables are up already.

Some have merchandise on them.

As you walk quietly through the fair,

You notice some food.

Maybe you can smell it.

You can see candy.

You can hear music.

Maybe there's a live band or a man with a violin just kind of tuning it,

Getting it ready to play as people arrive later.

There are people smiling everywhere.

It's a beautiful scene.

And over there there's a bench.

I want you to go over to it and sit down.

Take a deep breath and quiet yourself.

So breathe in deep.

And breathe out long and slow.

That's good.

Just keep breathing out all the way out.

Now,

As you decide to get up from that bench,

And walk through the stalls and attractions,

You realize that you're on a journey.

You're on a journey to follow your heart bravely.

And there are some things that you need for the journey.

And even though consciously they may not make too much sense,

Your subconscious mind knows exactly what we mean.

It knows exactly what it needs in order for you to have a pure heart,

Find your heart and follow it bravely.

So you walk through the fair and you find a stall.

It's a stall that sells flowers.

And you take a moment to look at the different flowers,

The different colors,

The different petals,

The different shapes and sizes.

I want you to choose one flower to take with you.

It's okay if you're not visual and you can't see it.

It's okay to get a sense,

Maybe the name of a flower comes into your mind,

Your favorite flower,

Or a flower of your favorite color.

But however,

Pick a flower,

And you're going to buy it,

Hand over some coins,

And you get given the flower.

And this flower that you're going to take with you is going to help your subconscious to have a pure heart,

To know what your heart wants and to follow it bravely.

So you walk through the fair with your flower in your hand,

And you see a stall that sells crystals,

Beautiful crystals of all shapes and sizes,

Smooth ones,

Jagged ones,

Towers,

Spheres,

Animals carved into crystals,

All sorts,

Every color,

Some that are deep and dark,

Absorbing the light,

And some that reflect it.

So take a moment to select a crystal.

Pick some up and feel their weight.

Find one that feels right,

Because this crystal that you find,

And you don't need to know how it does it,

Just that it will,

Is going to help you to have a pure heart,

To know your heart,

To follow your heart and do it bravely.

And as you leave with this crystal,

It's really going to help you.

You find one more stall.

It's a stall that sells seashells.

They're so beautiful,

Giant seashells,

Tiny little ones.

Seashells like fans,

Seashells that curl up,

All the most beautiful seashells that you've ever imagined,

Spiky ones,

Smooth ones,

Round ones.

So take some time and choose a seashell,

Because this shell is going to help you to have a pure heart,

To know your heart,

And to follow it bravely.

And as you walk with this seashell,

It's going to really help you on this journey.

You notice an animal spirit.

You notice an animal spirit that's been following you around.

Maybe you can get a sense right away of the shape of the animal spirit.

Maybe you can get a sense right away of which animal it is.

But it's okay for that to take time.

Just tune into it.

Notice what the animal spirit is.

It's an animal that's here to help guide you.

It's going to now walk in front of you.

And this animal is going to show you the path of following your heart,

Here and wherever you go after.

And the spirit of this animal will go in front of you,

Always,

Here and wherever you go.

And it will show you the path to follow your heart.

And you can trust it,

And you can follow it.

And so you start to follow the path,

Away from the fair.

And you're heading somewhere so safe and so relaxed,

Somewhere very tranquil.

But as you go to leave,

In front of you is a barrier.

A barrier that is blocking you from following your heart with courage.

And on this barrier,

In giant graffiti,

Is written the word,

Self-talk.

And you realize,

To follow your heart fearlessly,

You must overcome negative self-talk.

Things like saying to yourself,

I can't do this,

I will fail.

I should work hard 9 to 5 every single day.

Your self-talk is on that barrier.

Maybe you can see what it says,

Maybe you can read it.

Maybe you get a sense of what's on there.

Maybe you can't quite make it out,

But that's okay.

Your subconscious knows what it is.

Now,

I need you to get past that barrier.

You can knock it down,

You can smash it.

You can climb over it,

You can go around it.

Do whatever it takes and go past that barrier.

Now,

In front of that,

There's a big wall.

A big wall.

And on the wall are the words,

Limiting beliefs.

Beliefs that limit you in life.

Now,

These beliefs,

They might come from past failures,

Thinking that you're going to fail again.

Might be beliefs installed into you by teachers,

Or parents,

Or society.

Limiting beliefs are beliefs about yourself that hold you back.

For example,

I have to be perfect,

Is a limiting belief.

Not good enough,

Is another.

I don't deserve success,

That's another belief that's limiting to you.

It will be hard to follow my heart,

Is another.

What are your limiting beliefs?

Put them on the barrier beside the limiting beliefs.

Imagine them there as words,

Images,

Sounds,

Feelings,

Or just get a sense that whatever your limiting beliefs are,

Even if you don't quite know that they're on that wall.

Now,

Blast through it.

Destroy the wall.

Smash through it and get past.

You will not be limited.

Limiting beliefs will not stop you following your heart.

And you're through it,

And you take a deep breath.

And in front of that,

Yes,

You're right,

There is a line of people all linked up,

Holding hands,

Acting as a barrier to stop you getting through.

This is the barrier of other people's expectations.

If you follow your heart,

Will you disappoint people?

What will people think of you?

What would your parents say?

I want you to look at this barrier of other people's expectations and know that you can get past it.

You can ask them to step aside.

You can command that they step aside.

Or you can just barge on through.

You can walk around them,

Whatever you like.

And as you do that,

As you go past them now,

As you get through them now,

You realize that other people's expectations are no longer a barrier to you following your heart.

And in front is a giant tower,

A dark,

Jaggy tower.

It is a tower of fear.

You don't need to see the word written on it to know that this represents fear.

Fear of failure,

Fear of success,

Fear in general.

But you know what?

You're powerful,

And you can change the scene.

You can transform this tower of fear into a palace of excitement,

Into a heavenly place.

To quote Frank Herbert's Dune,

I must not fear.

Fear is the mind killer.

Fear is the little death that leads to total obliteration.

I will face my fear.

I will allow it to wash over me and pass through me.

And when it has gone past,

I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where there was fear,

There will be nothing.

Only I will remain.

Now look at this fear.

Look at this tower.

Get a sense of where it came from.

You're going to face it.

And you're going to pass it.

And you're going to look back and see that it's already in the past.

And you know where it came from.

At least deep down you do.

And in front of you is paradise.

It's beautiful.

It's a palace or a garden.

You have passed fear.

And fear will no longer be a barrier to you following your heart,

Your pure heart,

Bravely.

So as you keep walking,

You take a deep breath,

And you say to yourself in your head,

I follow my heart when my head's not right.

If loud thoughts keep me up at night,

I follow my heart when my stomach fears.

Through stress and struggle,

Pain and tears.

I follow my heart when I can't see through.

When I can't decide just what to do.

I follow my heart when others doubt.

Its voice is a whisper,

Not a shout.

I follow my heart where it will lead.

I follow my heart,

And I will succeed.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

I follow my heart.

See a path in front of you.

You see your heart ahead.

You don't know where it's going to go,

But you trust it.

You follow it.

So now,

Bringing back with you everything that has subconsciously altered,

All the changes,

Bringing back with you all the positive feelings that you've had throughout this meditation,

Bringing back with you all the resources and the motivation,

The shell,

The crystal,

The flower,

Bringing it all back in one,

Follow your heart.

In two,

Knowing that you are brave enough to be brave.

Three,

Knowing that you know your heart and you can know your heart.

As four,

Your eyes begin to open,

Opening your eyes with your brave heart,

With your true heart.

And five,

Saying it in your heart,

Saying it in your mind,

Saying it in your stomach,

I follow my heart.

Eyes open,

Wide awake,

Following that heart to light.
