This Balancing Meditation is inspired by a Visualisation from Joel Evans. I learned it during my FMCA health coaching certification training and found it immensely helpful. I hope it'll help you too to find what you need and what you need to let go of to bring more balance into your own life! This track contains ambient sounds in the background

Finding a comfortable pose either sitting or lying down,

Where you can really be at ease and at the same time aware.

You can start by focusing on your breathing.

And this time we'll breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

With every exhale you can relax a little more.

Releasing any obvious areas of tension,

Staying with that breath in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Allow your mind to go wherever it wants to go.

And with every exhale letting go of thoughts.

Noticing the thoughts coming in and exhaling letting them go.

Focusing on your breath,

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Allowing your neck and your shoulders to soften a little more.

Relaxing your jaw and softening the inner gaze,

Relaxing.

You may feel the contact with your chair or with your mat on the floor.

Releasing any obvious tension into the mat or into the floor.

Feeling supported by the earth and relaxing.

Relaxing your face,

Your neck,

Your shoulders,

Your back,

Your belly,

Your buttocks,

Your legs.

All the way into your feet,

Relaxing the body.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Softening your muscles.

Again releasing any tension that's still around with your exhale.

And breathing comfortably,

You can continue breathing in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Feeling supported by the earth,

Relaxing your muscles.

And as you feel the tension leave your muscles,

Imagine you're breathing in exactly what your body needs.

And with the exhale through your mouth,

You're letting go of what the body doesn't need no more.

You're breathing in exactly what the body needs.

And breathing out exactly what you would like to release.

Breathing in and out,

Releasing what no longer serves you.

Now expand this a little more and breathe in what you feel like you really need in your life right now to find balance.

And you breathe out what you want to release to find balance.

Breathing in what you need and letting go of what no longer serves you.

And it takes some time for you to really find the appropriate sensation or experience or thought you want to quality you want to bring into your life right now.

And what you want to release with your exhale to find more balance in your life right now.

And keep going with the breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Trusting your intuition and allowing whatever comes up to come up,

Breathing in through the nose what you need and releasing with the exhale what no longer serves you.

And noticing how to find balance we need to breathe in and bring in more of what we need.

And we need to breathe out and let go of more of what no longer serves us.

And now you can imagine what you would need could come up as an image or thought sensation.

What would it be that would really help you bring more balance into your life right now?

Continue with your breathing.

Imagine what your life would be like in balance.

Just really feeling or seeing or sensing what it would be like.

And really feel yourself in the situation.

Imagine.

Visualize.

What would it be like?

How would you feel?

Maybe you're seeing images,

Maybe words.

If your life were really in balance now.

And now think about how to get there.

What does it take to bring your life into balance?

To be at that,

In that situation that you imagined?

What would it take?

Try to really get some clarity on some concrete things that you would like to bring in or let go of in order to experience the state of balance in your life.

And now imagine the first step you could take.

One very concrete step you could take to feel more balance in your life.

To experience more balance.

One very concrete thing.

And notice that this could be anything.

It could be a shift in your thought patterns as well as a very concrete action step.

And for a moment let go of thoughts,

Of action steps,

Of resolutions.

And for a moment just try to be here.

Body breathing.

Contact with your chair or your mat supported by the earth.

Take a few more deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Releasing any excess tension.

And when you're ready you can prepare to open your eyes and if you like you can write down a few things.

Maybe you want to write down the concrete action step you want to take.

Good.

And it can open your eyes.

Thank you.
