Hey friend,

And welcome.

My name is Coach Cayton,

A certified Master Health Coach.

And I'm here to guide you through this meditation on reclaiming rest as a right.

So wherever you are right now,

Allow yourself to settle in.

Feel free to adjust your body in whatever way feels comfortable.

Maybe placing your feet flat on the ground,

Rolling your shoulders back gently,

Or softening your jaw.

Let yourself find a position that feels natural,

Giving yourself permission to fully relax into this moment.

Let's begin this meditation with three deep grounding breaths.

Let's inhale through your nose for 4,

3,

2,

1.

And hold for 4,

3,

2,

1.

And exhale slowly,

Releasing any tension for 4,

3,

2,

1.

And let's repeat this together.

Inhale deeply,

Drawing in calm and ease for 4,

3,

2,

1.

And hold,

Feeling the breath expand within you for 4,

3,

2,

1.

And exhale,

Letting go completely for 4,

3,

2,

1.

One last time,

Inhale,

Filling yourself with a sense of peace for 4,

3,

2,

1.

And hold,

Grounding yourself for 4,

3,

2,

1.

And exhale,

Releasing anything you're ready to let go of for 4,

3,

2,

1.

Now let yourself settle into this space,

Knowing that you're exactly where you need to be.

And we're going to continue to breathe.

I invite you to let go of the idea that resilience is a constant.

We often feel compelled to keep going and showing strength.

Today,

Let's set down that expectation and allow yourself to be present without the need to perform or prove.

Remember,

Rest is your right,

Not something you have to earn.

In this space,

You're safe to release and simply be.

As Tricia Hersey reminds us,

Rest is an act of resistance.

By giving yourself time to pause and breathe,

You're challenging the idea that your worth is tied to how much you can endure.

I want you to know that each moment you take to rest,

You reclaim a part of yourself.

Today,

Let this be your reminder that you deserve rest,

That your body and spirit need this care just as much as anyone else.

Let's take one last deep breath together.

Draw in a sense of peace,

Of ease,

As if filling every part of your body with light.

And exhale,

Letting go fully.

As we end this meditation,

Remember that this is just one step in reclaiming rest for yourself.

Anytime you feel the weight returning,

Know that you can come back to this meditation to help you pause and recenter.

I want to thank you for joining me today.
