Hi friend,

This is Coach Cayton,

And today we're going to explore the concept of growing pains and how they're an important part of our growth and transformation.

But before we begin the meditation,

Let's define what growing pains are.

Growing pains are more than just the physical discomfort we experience as children.

As adults,

We experience more metaphorical growing pains whenever we take on new roles or face new challenges.

And these pains can be emotional,

Mental,

Or even sometimes physical.

Consider the last time you started a new job,

Relocated to a new city,

Or entered a new relationship.

There may have been some excitement,

But there also may have been some discomfort.

That discomfort is what we're going to call growing pains.

It's your mind and body that are adapting to new circumstances,

Learning new skills,

And letting go of old habits.

Growing pains can also manifest somatically within the body.

Stress might show up as tightness in your shoulders or chest,

Anxiety as an upset stomach,

Or fatigue from mental strain.

These physical symptoms are your body's way of processing change.

As we approach a new stage in our lives,

We may experience growing pains as we let go of old stories that no longer serve us.

And the tension and discomfort of remaining stagnant can feel like we are being pulled in two different directions as we are mentally,

Physically,

And spiritually being called to the next stage of our lives.

We are crossing thresholds,

And it's important to approach this experience with compassion.

And I want you to recognize that these pains are temporary,

And that they are signs of your growth and transformation.

And it's normal to be scared because change often causes fear.

Fear of the unknown,

Of failure,

And even,

Sometimes,

Success.

It's natural to be afraid when starting something new.

What matters most is that you are kind and compassionate to yourself throughout this process.

So I'm joining you today to recognize your bravery in confronting these changes and to be gentle with yourself as you go through them.

Let's begin our meditation.

Find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.

Close your eyes and let's take a few deep breaths in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely.

Hold it for a moment and then slowly exhale through your mouth.

With each breath,

Let go of any tension in your body.

Feel your shoulders drop,

Your jaw relax,

And your entire body becoming more at ease.

Continue to breathe deeply and slowly.

Bring to mind a specific change or challenge you are currently facing.

It could be related to work,

Relationships,

Personal goals,

Or any other area of your life.

As you focus on this challenge,

Notice any emotions that arise.

You might feel fear,

Anxiety,

Or even uncertainty.

Allow these feelings to be present without judgment.

Acknowledge the feelings you might be having at this moment.

If it's fear,

Know that it's okay to be afraid,

Because change can be daunting.

Give space to whatever feeling or emotion you are having at this moment.

Now,

Place your hand over your heart and take a deep breath.

Imagine breathing in kindness and compassion towards yourself.

Say to yourself,

It's okay to feel this way.

I am doing my best and I am strong enough to handle this change.

Now visualize yourself successfully navigating through this challenge.

See yourself overcoming obstacles and being open to solutions as they emerge.

Imagine the feelings of accomplishment,

Strength,

And joy that come with overcoming this change.

Feel the excitement and readiness for this new phase of your life.

Recognize the inner strength and resilience that you have as you have faced challenges before and have come out on the other side stronger.

Know and believe that this time will be no different.

Feel a warm,

Glowing light within you,

Representing your inner strength and courage.

Let this light fill you with confidence and peace.

Take a moment to reflect on a past experience where you faced change and overcame it.

Remember how you felt stronger and more capable afterward.

Now,

I want you to acknowledge that the current growing pains that you're experiencing are temporary and that they too are shaping you into a stronger,

More resilient you.

Slowly start to bring awareness back to your breath.

Inhale deeply.

Hold for a moment.

And then exhale.

Continue to breathe deeply and slowly.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Feeling the present moment and your connection to it.

Repeat this affirmation silently or aloud.

I am a beacon of strength and resilience.

I embrace change with confidence and grace.

I have the courage to face my fears and grow.

I trust in my journey and welcome the abundance of life.

And I am deserving of all the good that comes my way.

Now,

Take a moment to feel grateful for your journey,

For the strength within you,

And for the ability to grow and evolve.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and return to the present moment,

Carrying this sense of peace and power with you.

Believe in yourself,

As I believe in you.

I want to thank you for joining this meditation.

And if you found this practice helpful,

Please subscribe to our channel and share it with others who might benefit.

And remember,

You can return to this meditation anytime you need encouragement on your journey of growth.

Take care,

Be well,

And until next time,

Peace.
