Welcome to this guided meditation.
Slowly close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
And exhale.
With each breath the body begins to soften.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Notice how it moves through you,
A natural anchor gathering you into this moment.
Bring your attention to your toes,
Feel them soften as this sensation slowly spreads through your feet,
Your ankles,
Your calves.
Move your awareness upward,
To your knees,
Your tights,
Your hips.
Imagine a calm gentle wave moving through this area,
Making everything feel a little lighter.
Notice your lower back,
Your abdomen,
Your chest.
With each inhale a bit more space appears.
With each exhale a gentle softness settles in.
Let your attention flow into your arms,
The wrists,
The palms of your hands and your fingers.
Everything can settle and become still.
Your shoulders drop slightly and a pleasant warmth spreads through your neck and throat.
Now bring your awareness to your face.
The forehead smooths,
The eyes feel heavy,
The jaw loosens,
Your entire expression softens.
Take a moment to notice what is present within you.
There may still be movement or perhaps a growing sense of calm.
Everything is welcome,
Just as it is.
Imagine a place,
A quiet lake in the evening.
The surface is smooth,
Clear and still.
If there is inattention,
It appears like small ripples on the water,
Gradually becoming softer until they fade away.
When thoughts arise,
Place them gently on leaves floating across the surface of the lake and let them slowly drift away.
Return to your breath.
With every breath a deeper sense of calm spreads through you.
Now imagine your life moving like a gentle steady rhythm,
A quiet coming,
A natural flow.
Allow your breath to deepen and feel the strength that arises in this moment.
Inner clarity and a spacious sense of openness.
Breathe in a feeling of gratitude.
And as you exhale,
Release whatever is ready to let go.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes and carry this calm,
Grounded state with you into the rest of your day.
