Welcome to standing meditation.

I'd like to guide you how we do the standing meditation here.

First of all,

It's very peaceful standing,

That the legs are in the same line with your shoulder,

A little bit inside.

The most important in standing meditation is that your feet anchor the ground,

So while you are standing,

You don't move your feet aside,

You don't move your body.

Of course the body will move sometimes,

But intentionally,

You keep it simple.

You don't move,

And you just close your eyes,

And be sure that when you have standing meditation in the beginning,

You have some chair behind you,

So when you sit on the edge of the chair,

You always can continue to meditate.

Once you have energy back,

You come up again.

So it's not important how long you stand,

It's more important when you relax,

You don't fight with the standing,

You sit,

And how many times you will come back,

Until your clock will ring.

In the beginning,

Standing meditation is not about time,

It's about standing,

Once you feel you're done,

You stop for today.

You do it for three weeks,

21 days,

And then you start to put the clock for five minutes,

And then see how it is,

And then adjust,

Maybe you need two minutes,

Maybe you need longer,

But it's important to see that the standing meditation is not fighting with what is,

Because standing meditation is about relaxing physically,

Follow your breath,

Very recommended to close your mouth,

And breathe only from the nostril.

When the air comes in,

You can feel here,

The sensation comes through your nostril in,

When the air comes out,

You can feel the point of awareness,

So the air comes in and out,

So you can relax and put your attention on the point of awareness when the air comes in and out,

And you fully relax.

In the beginning,

You start to scratch or move your body when it's painful,

And then you come back,

If you remember,

Don't move your body,

It's a stillness standing meditation.

What can happen after a few seconds,

That when you stand,

Your center of your body is going to awaken,

So many times people report they have a lower back pain,

Which is normal,

Or they feel a little bit dizzy,

They feel a little bit nausea,

That's all part of the practice,

It means the standing meditation is working for you,

What you have to do is to listen to yourself,

When you feel you start to feel uncomfortable,

Dizziness,

Go and sit slowly on the edge of the chair,

You breathe,

You relax,

Energy comes back,

You stand again,

To remind you,

The standing meditation is not about achieving anything,

It's not about get rid of anything,

Control anything,

It's about observing what is as it is,

Moment by moment as it is,

How do you know you do well in standing meditation?

You observe what is as it is,

Everything that you're going to experience,

It's exactly what you need to experience,

And every time you can start again,

You feel that it's done for today,

Stop it,

Start tomorrow again,

It's very useful to not skip any days in the beginning,

Every day,

First things in the morning,

Before you do anything,

Stand,

If you don't have people to stand with,

It's easier,

You get up off the bed,

You stand as long as you can,

You can sit on the edge of your bed if you need,

Or you have a chair there,

And just practice standing meditation,

Stillness standing meditation,

And then let us know if there is anything that is not clear,

Or you struggle with the meditation,

Please,

I would love to guide you,

And sometimes need to have a personal shift and adjustment,

That's okay,

But the standing meditation is very simple,

And you will see,

It transforms your physical,

Emotional,

And mental state of mind,

So enjoy the try,

And start again.
