Hello and welcome to this body love affirmations with myself,
Charlotte.
Our love for our bodies can at times be very difficult and challenging.
As someone who has experienced deep self-criticism and shame over my own body,
I understand this only too well.
We often witness our bodies in a very critical light,
Unable to see the natural beauty of our skin and what lies beneath it.
Speaking to ourselves with harsh language,
Using words that we probably would never say to another,
This can be a painful cycle to fall into.
Our words are like spells and the continuation of negative talk can hurt deeply.
But by introducing positive words surrounding our bodies,
We can begin to reprogram our subconscious mind and develop a different relationship with ourselves.
We can start to instill a more positive mindset when it comes to self-love and we can begin to appreciate our bodies on a deeper level.
The human body is an incredible piece of machinery.
When you consider the daily work the body does,
What they are put through and how they operate,
We can begin to see our bodies from a different perspective.
Body love is available to us all but we have to work towards the change.
We have to take conscious action to love ourselves once more.
The affirmations I share are words I have used to transform my own mind surrounding my own body and to find inner peace and love towards myself.
I hope these words will serve you too.
As we begin,
Sit somewhere quietly or you may wish to stand in front of a mirror.
However,
Depending on where you are in your journey,
Being in front of a mirror can be challenging.
Do only what you are comfortable with.
It is good to go out of your comfort zone and I do encourage it,
But you don't want to go to a place that is deeply triggering.
Simply ask yourself what are you ready for and allow your intuition to guide you.
Prepare yourself to begin by taking a few deep cleansing breaths,
Breathing in and releasing,
Letting everything go,
Breathing in and releasing,
Breathing into this moment,
Breathing in and releasing,
Becoming present.
Repeat the affirmations silently to yourself as I say them or if you feel called to,
You may like to say the words out loud or just breathe in the words as I repeat them for you.
I am learning to accept this body.
I am willing to change the way I see it.
I am moving into an appreciative space.
I am looking through the lens of love.
I understand all that my body does for me.
I understand how my body looks after me.
I am choosing to develop love for my body.
My body is my home and home is important.
I care for my inner home.
I nurture my inner home.
My body is my sanctuary.
My body is my home.
