Well hello there.

Welcome to Celestial Gems.

My name is Gem and I'll be your guide.

Today,

I'd like to welcome you to this corner of the universe.

This space which I've created and will share with you now.

This is a safe space so please ensure you are also in a space that feels safe to you or at the very least safe enough for you to close your eyes,

Get comfy and make a little bit of noise.

Lay back,

Placing a pillow under your knees or head if you need or sit up with your back straight on the floor or a chair.

Firstly,

This is not a gender specific exercise.

All people across the gender spectrum can connect with their feminist rage.

The only requirement is you believe in equity and equality for all.

Feminist rage is not a flaw.

It's a signal and today we're going to repurpose that like fire,

Like transforming a storm into energy.

We'll explore how to turn rage into power,

Purpose and fuel.

In this practice,

We'll acknowledge our rage,

Connect with it deeply and begin to transform it,

Channeling it as creative fuel for our lives.

Let us begin.

We'll start by taking a deep grounding breath in through the nose.

Then we'll hold at the top of the breath for seven and exhale through the mouth for seven,

Feeling it come from the pit of your stomach,

Gaining energy as it comes through your throat and out your mouth.

Ready?

Deep breath in through the nose for one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold for seven,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Now exhale,

Pushing the breath out from your stomach for seven,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Let's connect with the essence of what brought you here today.

Perhaps you watched the news,

Saw a post on social media,

Engaged or even simply witnessed the infuriating behavior of toxic masculinity and the advantages that the patriarchy afford those that fit within its confines.

Where do you feel your rage?

Let us scan the body now,

Starting from the crown of your head,

Passing down your eyebrows,

Your eyelids,

Nose and cheeks,

Ears,

Jaw,

Unclenching as you move down your neck,

Collarbone,

Shoulders,

Biceps,

Elbows,

Forearms,

All the way to your fingertips.

Give them a little wiggle.

Going back now to your chest,

Your upper back,

Stomach,

Lower back,

Moving down past your belly button,

Through the hips,

Your buttocks,

Down past the groin,

Thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

Ankles,

Heels,

The top of your feet,

The bottom of your feet,

All the way to the tips of your toes.

Do you feel a heat,

A pain or a blockage in a certain body part?

Take a mental note of where your rage exudes from.

Noticing where your rage lives in your body is a powerful practice.

Over time,

This kind of awareness can deepen your connection to your intuition,

Your body's quiet inner guide.

Now that we've discovered where our rage lives in the body,

Let's give it space to move.

Through breath,

We'll begin to connect with it,

Not to explode or suppress,

But to transform.

As you connect with your rage like a heat radiating from your body,

Imagine this heat as a red ball of light,

Glowing,

Pulsating,

Alive.

Now,

Let us use our breath to cleanse our body and repurpose the energy of rage.

We'll breathe in through the nose for four,

Directing our breath to the red light.

As we hold our breath for seven,

We will use that time to engage with the light.

We're going to watch our breath connect with it,

Light it,

Spark it,

Interact with it.

Then,

As we exhale,

We will do so from the pit of our stomach and we'll watch that red light move with our breath,

Coming up through our chest and out our mouths with vibrancy and energy.

Ready?

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

Directing your breath to the red light.

Breathe in for four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Hold your breath for seven.

Feel your breath connect with the red light,

Sparking it,

Playing with it in any way that you see fit.

Exhale now,

Deeply out of your mouth for seven,

Pushing the breath from the pit of your stomach,

Watching as that red light moves with your breath,

Coming through your chest and out your mouth.

Let's do this twice more.

Deep breath in through the nose for four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Hold for seven,

Connecting with that red light and watch as it pulsates and glows.

Two,

One.

This time,

As we exhale,

Push the red ball of light from your stomach out of your mouth with a deep sigh,

Almost growling,

For seven,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Again,

Deep breath in through the nose for four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Hold your breath,

Interacting with the light for seven,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Now,

From the pit of your stomach,

Push the ball out and allow the rage to escape with a deep growl for seven,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

We'll do this one final time.

This time,

Once you connect with the red light,

Use this to energize your exhale.

Do so deeply,

Pushing the red ball of light out whilst allowing any negative residuals to stick to it,

Like a sticky ball rolling through your body,

Picking up leftover negativity as it rolls out your mouth.

Whatever you have pent up,

Give yourself permission to let it go with this final exhale.

Ready?

Deep breath in through the nose for four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Hold as you connect with the red ball of light,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One,

And release deeply for seven,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Through rage,

We rise.

Rage is a powerful emotion,

And if used correctly,

Can fuel your creative endeavors.

Take a moment now to think about where in your life you could inject more energy.

Could it be poured into your art,

Your activism,

Your boundaries,

Your body,

Or your words?

Whatever calls to you,

Trust that your rage can be sacred fuel.

Take a moment now to think about where in your life you could inject more energy.

Throughout breathing practice today,

We were able to acknowledge and repurpose the rage within,

Leaving room for more creative pursuits.

As you leave this meditation today,

Take with it the idea that rage and anger can be used in a productive way.

They can empower your endeavors.

These feelings are not to be feared or pushed away,

But used strategically on your terms to benefit your life.

How will you repurpose this energy today?

Before we end our practice today,

Let's take one final grounding breath.

Deep breath in through the nose for four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Hold,

And as we release,

We'll do so gently,

And breathe out.

Slowly,

Become aware of the room you're in.

Listening to the distant sounds around you,

Begin to awaken your body by wiggling your toes and fingers.

Take your hands and rub them together,

Placing them over your eyes,

Feeling the warmth radiate from your palms.

Gently now,

Open your eyes,

Remove your hands so you are now fully present.

Thank you so much for practicing with me today.

I'm Jem,

And I've been your guide,

And I'm so grateful you were able to join me.

Until we meet again,

Goodbye my comrade friend.
