Tonight,
There is nothing you need to solve.
Nothing you need to figure out before sleep.
The mind may still be moving,
Still replaying,
Still searching for answers.
But,
For the next few minutes,
You do not need to follow every thought.
For the deepest experience tonight,
I recommend using headphones and simply allowing my voice to guide your attention.
From one moment into the next.
Now,
Let the body settle.
No effort.
No pressure.
Just allowing yourself to arrive here.
Take one slow breath in through your nose.
And exhale gently through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in slowly.
And breathing out even slower.
Good.
Now,
Notice something.
Your body already knows how to sleep.
Your heart already knows how to slow down.
Your breath already knows how to soften.
It is only the mind still trying to stay awake,
Still trying to think its way into safety.
But,
Tonight,
You do not need to stop your thoughts.
You only need to stop following them.
And,
Instead,
Simply listen for the next word.
And the next.
And the next.
Notice the small moment before each word arrives.
That quiet moment of waiting for the next word to arrive.
In that moment,
The mind is no longer rushing ahead.
For just a second,
There is only listening.
And,
Little by little,
Those quiet moments begin growing wider.
More.
More space between thoughts.
More stillness between moments.
Imagine,
Now,
Your thoughts like snow falling through the night sky.
Slowly,
Softly,
And without effort.
You do not need to catch the snow.
You do not need to push it away.
Only watch it drift.
And,
With every breath,
The snowfall becomes slower.
Softer.
Quieter.
Now,
Feel the body becoming heavier.
The muscles around the eyes softening.
The jaw unclenching.
The shoulders melting downward.
Arms heavy.
Hands relaxed.
Legs sinking deeper into the bed beneath you.
And,
Now,
Imagine the mind itself beginning to lie down.
No longer running.
No longer reaching.
Just resting.
Thoughts drifting further away now.
Like distant lights disappearing into fog.
And,
If another thought appears,
That is okay.
You do not need to enter it.
Only notice it.
And,
Then,
Gently return to listening.
To the quiet between words.
My voice can become softer now.
More distant.
As your body continues sinking deeper.
Deeper and deeper.
Into rest.
Nothing to solve or carry tonight.
Nowhere to go.
Only sleep.
Softly.
Gently.
Drifting.
Into rest.
