Find a comfortable position,

Whether sitting or lying down,

You choose.

And when you feel safe,

Please close your eyes.

And take a moment to settle into this space,

Allowing your body and mind to relax.

You might want to get the alignment of your body right,

So if you need to move a little,

Please do so.

An alignment which is open and aware.

And now notice the feeling of body breathing.

Tune into your breath.

Notice the natural flow of your breath.

You don't need to change or force anything.

Simply,

Observing each inhale,

And simply observing each exhale.

And now,

We begin our meditation to connect with the source.

The source from which all existence flows.

The source is the entire universe.

In this moment,

Go within to that quiet place,

Where we experience a connection to the higher self.

As we begin,

Let's ask ourselves,

What is purification?

What is internal purification?

Inner purification refers to cleaning the fine dust of self-criticism.

Cleaning the fine dust of guilt.

And cleaning the fine dust of self-condemnation,

Which makes your life unpleasant.

What makes the mind unclean?

What makes the mind go in this negative spiral?

Is it a situation,

Or people,

Or self-created identification?

Now,

I want you to bring a situation from the past.

Perhaps,

A situation where your actions were selfish,

With the intention to just benefit you.

Or a situation where you were jealous of someone.

Or a situation where you were harsh on yourself.

A situation where you were critical of yourself.

Perhaps a memory from the past,

Where you felt inadequate or undeserving in comparison to those you perceive as more fortunate.

And ask these questions.

Is this situation true or just impurification of my mind?

Is it really true that I am inadequate?

Is it really true that life favors others more than you?

If you do feel this is true,

How do you know this is true?

What makes you believe that this is true?

How do you really know this is true?

And now,

Imagine a situation where you are completely purified.

Imagine a situation where you receive grace from life.

Imagine a situation where you acknowledge your being.

Imagine a situation embracing your imperfectionisms.

How does it feel not to be so critical?

How would it feel to be so generous?

How does it feel to be compassionate to you and others?

Perhaps a sense of joy.

Perhaps a sense of relief.

Perhaps a sense of contempt.

Imagine the effect you are going to have on others.

Imagine you have a pure mind and how this affects your environment.

And imagine you have an impure mind and how this affects your environment.

And noticing this contrasting difference.

And you will understand how important it is to move away from these mental impurities to inner cleansing.

Let's spend a moment on today's centering thoughts.

May I be free from suffering and the roots of suffering.

May I be free from suffering and the roots of suffering.

May I be free from suffering and the roots of suffering.

Now,

Let go of any specific techniques.

Just simply allow yourself to sit quietly.

Allowing yourself to be present as to whatever is arising in this present moment.

Bring hands in front of your heart.

And we will seal the practice today by bowing to ourselves and others.

Please take a breath in.

And breathe out.

Bowing yourself and others.

Thanks for practicing today.

Namaste.
