This practice will guide you through connecting with and releasing emotional energy stored in your body.
Find a quiet,
Comfortable space where you can be fully immersed in yourself and in this journey.
Let's begin by honoring your intentions for this practice.
Settle in by beginning to find a comfortable seated or lying position,
And gently close your eyes and allow your body to relax.
Take in three deep breaths.
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Feel your chest expand,
Hold it,
Savor the stillness,
Exhale fully through your mouth,
And let it go.
Again,
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Feel your chest expand,
Hold it,
Savor the stillness,
Exhale through your mouth,
Let it go.
One more,
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Feel your chest expand,
Hold it,
Exhale through your mouth,
And let it go.
Letting your breath now fall into its own gentle,
Relaxed pattern,
Now let your body soften,
Releasing any tension you might be holding onto,
And repeat these affirmations after me,
I am safe in this moment,
I am safe in this moment,
I allow my body to relax completely,
I allow my body to relax completely,
I am open to releasing what no longer serves me,
I am open to releasing what no longer serves me.
The invitation is now to turn your awareness inwards,
Focusing on your breath,
Just watching your breath coming in and out,
And now slowly scan your body from head to toe,
Noticing any areas of tension,
Discomfort,
Or heaviness you may feel,
Pause when you sense an area that feels tight or heavy,
Let your attention settle on this space without any judgment or need to change anything,
Say these affirmations after me,
I listen to my body's messages with compassion,

I am present with whatever arises,

Now choose one specific area of your body that feels like it's calling for your attention,
Bringing your full awareness to this space,
Ask yourself what does this sensation feel like,
Does it have a texture,
A shape or a color,
Simply notice,
There is no need to force anything,
You are simply exploring with curiosity and kindness,
Tuning in to its messages,
It is safe to explore my emotions,

I trust my body to guide me,

I embrace the sensations with love and understanding,

Begin to deepen your breath directly towards the area you are focusing on,
With each inhale imagine you are creating space around the sensation and with each exhale you are releasing tension or resistance around the sensation,
Inhale space,
Exhale tension,
Inhale acceptance,
Exhale release,
Inhale healing,
Exhale transformation,
With every breath you breathe you create space for healing,
You let go of resistance and welcome in peace,
It is safe to feel and it is safe to release emotions,
Notice the sensations beginning to shift,
It might soften or intensify first or move elsewhere in your body,
If it does let it flow naturally without holding on to it,
If emotions arise,
Whether it is sadness,
Anger or joy,
Allow them to come in and go out like waves,
Trust the process knowing that emotions are energy in motion,
Repeat this affirmation after me,

I embrace the waves of emotions with love and patience,

Just let the sensations begin to lighten and dissolve now,
Imagine melting away like the mist under the morning sun,
Return your focus to your breath,
Just feel its rhythm anchoring you into the present moment,
With every breath coming back to you,
You can start to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes,
Now gently reconnecting with your physical body,
Moving your legs and arms a little,
Rocking from side to side,
Bring in these closing affirmations,
