Welcome,
Dear soul,
The body and mind in balance,
The yin and the yang.
In daily life,
The body and mind are often asked to move at different speeds.
The mind plans,
Analyzes,
And reaches forward,
While the body listens,
Responds,
And seeks rhythm.
This meditation is an invitation to let them meet again,
Not by forcing balance,
But by allowing the natural intelligence of yin and yang to restore harmony in its own way.
There is nothing to perfect here,
Only something to soften into.
Begin by settling your body into your comfortable position,
Seated or lying down.
Allow the body to be fully supported.
There is nothing you need to hold up right now.
Gently close your eyes,
Take a slow breath in through the nose,
And exhale softly through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in deeply,
And breathing out slowly,
Allowing the nervous system to begin to soften.
Feel the weight of your body,
The quiet intelligence of muscles,
Bones,
Organs,
And breath.
Your body already knows how to balance.
Today,
You are simply remembering.
Now bring your awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath,
Not changing it,
Just noticing.
As you breathe in,
Sense a subtle expansion within your body.
As you breathe out,
Notice the gentle release and contraction of your body.
This is the first expression of yin and yang.
Inhale yang,
Activating,
Rising.
Exhale yin,
Receptive,
Grounding,
Restoring.
Nothing exists alone in this world.
Each breath contains both.
Now bring your awareness slowly to the left side of your body.
The left side often associated with yin.
Cooling,
Intuitive,
Inward,
Receptive.
Notice the sensation here.
Perhaps softness,
Heaviness,
Stillness,
Or subtle movement.
Whatever you feel is perfect.
Allow the left side to be exactly as it is.
No need to improve it.
No need to analyze it.
Now gently shift your awareness to the right side of your body.
The right side,
Yang,
Warming,
Active,
Expressive,
Outward moving.
Notice sensation here.
Energy,
Lightness,
Strength,
Or maybe tension.
Let it all be welcome.
Feel how both sides coexist.
Different,
Yet inseparable.
Neither superior,
Neither wrong.
Now bring your awareness to the center of your body.
The space where yin and yang meet.
The heart.
The breath.
The quiet axis of balance.
Here you are not pushing or pulling.
You are allowing.
As you breathe,
Imagine the inhale gently energizing the body.
And the exhale smoothing the mind.
If your mind feels busy,
That is yang expressing itself.
If your body feels heavy or tired,
That is yin asking to be honored.
Neither needs fixing.
They are in conversation.
Gently repeat within to yourself.
I allow balance to find me.
Feel how effort softens when you stop trying to control the process.
Now imagine a slow gentle flow of energy moving through your body.
Not forced.
Not directed.
Just moving naturally.
Like water finding its path down a mountain.
Where there is excess,
It softens.
Where there is depletion,
It nourishes.
Yang learns to rest.
Yin learns to trust.
The body listens.
The mind settles.
Noticing now the space around your thoughts.
The pauses between the breaths.
The stillness beneath sensations.
This is balance.
Not perfect symmetry.
But a living,
Breathing harmony.
Take a moment to sense gratitude for your body.
Not for how it looks.
But for how faithfully it carries you.
For how it communicates with you.
It adjusts moment by moment to keep you alive.
And gratitude for your mind.
Not for having all the answers.
But for its creativity.
Its curiosity.
Its capacity to witness.
Now gently affirm.
I am Yin and Yang.
I am trusting the wisdom of my body and mind.
I am honoring both rest and movement.
I am whole without needing to be in constant effort.
I am allowed to soften and still remain strong.
I am balanced.
I am present.
I am at ease within myself.
Let these words sink beneath your thoughts.
Into your subconscious.
Where true balance is being restored within.
Rest here for a few breaths.
Simply being.
More and more bringing balance into your life.
Into your body,
Mind and spirit.
Now bring your awareness back to the room.
The surface beneath you.
The sounds around you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes gently.
Take one final nourishing breath in.
And a long releasing breath out.
When it feels right,
Open your eyes.
Carry this quiet harmony with you.
Not as something to manage or maintain.
But as a natural state that returns.
Whenever you listen.
Whenever you soften.
Whenever you allow.
Bringing balance and harmony into your body.
Welcoming the yin and the yang.
Blessings on your journey,
Dear soul.
Namaste.
