This is my prayer for a balanced body and mind,
Beloved presence within me,
And the quiet intelligence that moves through all life.
I come into this moment asking not for perfection,
But for balance.
I ask that my body be met with kindness.
May it be listened to,
Respected,
And trusted.
May its rhythms be honored.
May its need for rest be valued,
Just as its capacity for movement and strength.
I ask that my mind be met with gentleness.
May it soften its grip.
May it release the need to control,
Rush,
Or resolve.
May it remember how to rest in awareness,
Without needing to know everything.
Where there is pain,
May there be ease.
Where there is depletion,
May there be nourishment.
Let the active energy within me learn to pause.
Let the receptive energy within me learn to trust.
Let effort and ease find their natural path.
May my breath remind me that balance is already present.
Rising and falling.
Expanding and releasing without force.
May my body and mind remember that they are not in opposition,
But in partnership.
May I honor both stillness and movement.
Both strength and softness.
Both clarity and mystery.
I release the belief that I must push to be whole.
I release the belief that balance must be earned.
Spirit within me,
Allow harmony to return on its own,
In its own way.
And as I move back into my day,
May this quiet alignment walk with me.
Not as something I must hold on to,
But something that naturally returns whenever I listen.
Amen.
And so it is.
