Hi,

This is Frankie and welcome to this FeltSense meditation practice.

This practice is based on the original teachings of Eugene Gendelin,

A psychotherapist known for developing several influential concepts and therapeutic approaches,

His most notable contribution being the concept of FeltSense.

His work emphasised the importance of the body's wisdom and intuition.

He believed FeltSense held the key to unlocking personal growth,

Healing and self-understanding.

In modern times,

Gitin has integrated FeltSense into biodynamic breathwork.

This can be a very subtle and very healing practice.

So let's start connecting our gentle breaths and using our belly as a pump.

Inhaling,

The belly expands and exhaling,

The belly contracts.

We breathe this way to move more energy through the cells of the body and it also brings in relaxation.

Your belly breath is a tool to go deeper and deeper into your body.

I invite you to place a hand on your belly and your other hand on your heart.

Make sure you can feel the rise and fall of your belly as you breathe.

Let yourself fully just relax and breathe this connected breath.

Breathing in and out of the mouth.

If your mouth gets dry,

You can breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Just staying with your connected gentle breaths.

While you're breathing,

I'll explain a bit about FeltSense.

It's about feeling the very subtle energy in your body.

About noticing holistic bodily sensations that represent our body's wisdom and awareness of our inner experiences.

Our breath is a bridge between our conscious thoughts and our body.

Our breath can take us deeper and deeper within.

So stay with these conscious connected breaths.

Using your belly as a pump to gently push the air in and out of your body.

Kendalyn's concept of FeltSense refers to the subtle bodily felt sensations and feelings that arise in response to thoughts,

Emotions and experiences.

These sensations often contain deeper insights and meaning.

Serving as a bridge between our conscious awareness and our unconscious knowing.

By paying attention and engaging with FeltSense,

You can access your inner wisdom and facilitate personal growth and healing.

As you breathe now,

Feel yourself opening up and feeling sensations in your body.

Your FeltSense will often first emerge as an unclear bodily feeling.

When you notice any of these feelings arise,

Just let them grow.

As it grows within you,

You'll start to feel the sensations it carries.

And as you learn to go deeper and deeper,

You'll find meaning and insights from these sensations.

Perhaps set an intention now to let yourself be open to intuitive knowing and feeling deeper and deeper into your FeltSense.

And while you're staying with your gentle,

Connected belly breaths,

Let me guide you through your body,

Just noticing and feeling all and any sensations in your body.

Let's start at the toes on your right foot.

Wiggle the toes.

Do you notice any sensations here?

Feel and breathe into your toes.

Can you relax your toes?

Noticing and letting go of attachment to any sensations for now.

Moving to your toes on your left foot.

Feeling and breathing into your toes.

Noticing and letting go of attachment to any sensations into the toes on your left foot.

Left toes,

Right toes.

Now right foot.

Feeling into any sensations in your right foot.

Just noticing and moving your awareness to your left foot.

Once again,

Noticing any sensations and letting them go.

Feeling into your ankles now,

Both ankles,

Right,

Left ankles.

You're breathing and you're feeling any sensations in your ankles.

Moving your awareness to your knees and your whole legs.

Feeling into any sensations in your legs.

Noticing any sensations and now letting those two go.

Awareness to the base of your spine.

Breathing and feeling into the base of your spine.

Noticing what you feel.

And then moving your awareness to your lower belly.

Feeling into the sensations in your lower belly.

Observing for now and moving the awareness to your upper belly.

Your upper belly and now moving your awareness to your chest.

Feeling,

Noticing any sensations from lower belly to upper belly to chest.

Feeling your neck.

Feeling into your neck.

Your arms.

Your hands.

Noticing any sensations.

Feeling into your heart now.

Do you feel any sensations in your heart?

Awareness to your shoulders.

To your mouth.

Awareness to your third eye.

Feeling any sensations in your hair.

Awareness to the crown of your head.

And just feeling any and all sensations in the crown of your head.

And back now into the whole body.

You are breathing these gentle connected breaths.

Using your belly as a pump,

Moving the energy through your whole body.

And now I invite you to observe your whole body.

And just notice any areas of tension.

Areas of discomfort.

Or any sensations in your body.

I invite you now to pay attention to your breath.

And the energy flowing naturally in and out of your chest.

Being pumped by your belly.

And now I invite you to explore your body yourself.

Explore all the subtle bodily felt sensations.

And bring in awareness and intuitive knowing to these sensations.

You may use mental labels to describe the felt sensations in your body.

For example,

I feel warmth in my chest.

Or there's a gentle pulsating sensation in my body.

This mental verbalisation helps bring the felt sense into conscious awareness.

By connecting with these aspects regularly,

You can gain insights.

And promote healing and deepen your self-awareness.

Be mindful of these sensations.

And let your body describe these sensations to you.

And ask open-ended questions to gain insight and clarity from them.

Let your body connect with these inner experiences.

And let your body breathe directly into these areas.

And promote healing.

I invite you now to stay with this one area.

That is perhaps feeling the most sensations.

Keep sending loving understanding and energy of your breath to this space.

This place on your body.

You can stay with this energy and breathing into this space.

Or you can now move to scanning your body once more.

And observing and noticing another area of tension,

Discomfort or sensations.

Feeling into your whole body.

And then honing into a particular place in your body.

Pay attention to your breath.

And let your breath and energy flow naturally into this area.

Remember to use mental labels to describe the felt sense.

Words in your mind like I feel warmth in my hip.

Or there is a gentle pulsating sensation in my right shoulder.

These mental verbalizations help bring the felt sense into conscious awareness.

Once again when you find a place.

You can stay with this place on your body.

Or you can move your attention again.

Don't be too quick to jump from one spot to another.

You can do this meditation daily and work through all the tension.

All the sensations in your body.

If you are ready to move.

Bring your awareness back to your whole body.

And scan again your body.

Pay attention to your breath.

And let your breath and energy flow and guide you naturally to a new area.

Be mindful of the sensations.

Let your body describe them again to you.

And you give loving awareness and kindness to your body.

Once again ask open ended questions to gain insights and clarity from the sensations.

Let your body experience connection with these inner experiences.

And let your body breathe directly into these areas.

To promote the healing they need.

Let yourself more and more explore the subtle bodily felt sensations.

And the deeper intuitive knowing that resides within you.

By connecting with these aspects,

These parts regularly.

You can gain insights and promote healing deep within yourself.

As you deepen your connection day by day to your felt senses in your body.

More and more you will develop self awareness and intuition.

Remember to ask yourself open ended questions.

Like what is the deeper meaning behind this sensation?

Or what is my body trying to communicate to me?

Be patient and receptive to insights that may arise.

Embrace and reflect on the idea that wisdom can emerge from your body.

These non-verbal aspects of your experience.

Let go of the need for rational explanations.

And trust the wisdom of your body.

Breathe and release.

With your awareness on felt sense breathe gently into your body.

Imagine your breath nourishing and softening the sensations.

As you exhale release the tension and any resistance in the body.

Allow these sensations to transform and evolve.

And know that you can do this anywhere when you are feeling sensations in your body.

You just need to breathe and feel into what your body is telling you.

Allow the sensations to transform within you and evolve.

Gratitude.

I invite you to conclude this meditation with gratitude.

For any insights that you have received.

Insights to connecting deeper into your body.

Connecting deeper and deeper with you.

And you can use these tools anywhere anytime.

If you haven't already you can release your connected breath.

And now just take a minute to integrate the experiences into your daily life.
