This meditation helps you reclaim your energy and center when you've been overextending yourself to meet others' needs. It supports returning to inner steadiness, self-trust, and clear boundaries when your energy feels pulled outward or scattered. Through simple breath and posture work, attention gathers back into a grounded, centered orientation. This practice is for choosing what is truly yours to hold, and releasing the rest—a return to calm, grounded leadership of your own life. Suitable for all levels. Especially supportive for those with some meditation or self-reflection experience. Formerly titled: Stand In Your Own Authority

Welcome to Be With Melinda.

Take a moment to arrive.

Notice the support beneath you,

The chair,

The floor,

The ground.

Allow the spine to rise naturally,

Balanced and at ease.

Take a slow breath in through the nose and release it through the mouth.

Take a slow breath out through the mouth and release it through the mouth.

Take a slow breath in through the mouth and release it through the mouth.

Take a slow breath out through the mouth and release it through the mouth.

Take a slow breath in through the mouth and release it through the mouth.

Take a slow breath out through the mouth and release it through the mouth.

Bring attention to the center of your chest,

The center of your heart.

Simply locating yourself,

Your heart.

Notice how attention often moves outward toward people,

Situations,

And demands.

For now,

Let all of that remain where it is.

Now,

Sense the body from the inside.

Weight,

Presence,

Edges.

Not shrinking or expanding,

Just contained.

Silently say,

I am here.

Pause,

And then say,

What is mine remains with me.

Continue to breathe slowly and feel the attention gathering inward.

As the breath releases,

Allow unnecessary effort to soften.

Again,

Inhale,

Gathering.

Exhale,

Releasing.

Without force.

With simplicity.

Notice how things are feeling lighter and clearer.

That is your inner boundary.

Simply settling down to you.

Notice the shift where your concerns or roles or responsibilities are somewhere else on the outside.

Beyond your inner boundary.

Return awareness to the breath,

Natural and unforced.

Sense your posture,

Upright and stable.

This is authority in the body.

Quiet,

Clear,

And uncomplicated.

Silently say,

I choose clarity.

I trust my inner alignment.

Notice the space around you.

Sound,

Light,

The room.

Take one final slow breath in,

And a slower breath out.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Carry this steadiness forward.

Not as effort,

But as orientation.

And thank you for practicing with me.

May you continue to stand in your own authority with the greatest of ease and grace.
