Welcome to Be With Melinda.

Today we're going to connect with your ancestors.

So settle into your body and take a couple breaths to connect.

Inhale deeply and exhale easefully.

The more attention you bring to your body,

The more you settle into somatic awareness,

The more you may notice.

Stay with the sensations as they are.

With attunement to your body,

Invite any ancestors who may be willing to join you in this healing space.

Notice what happens when you say,

I invite my close ancestors,

Parents,

Grandparents,

And great-grandparents into this healing space.

Tune into the feeling of who shows up.

Notice where there is a sense of flow and connectedness and which relationship feels most open and supportive.

This is sometimes called gates,

Places where wisdom,

Strength,

Resilience,

And vitality move more freely through your lineage.

Notice how this registers in your body.

You may also notice ancestors who feel more distant or constrained.

From them,

The flow may feel reduced and you may sense some of their burden.

Notice how fear,

Shame,

Stress,

Or hardship show up in your body.

Now,

Bring attention to your breath.

Without changing it at first,

Simply feel the inhale and the exhale.

As you exhale,

Allow your body to soften where it can.

There is no need to push anything away.

You may silently affirm,

This does not belong only to me.

With the next few exhales,

Imagine the body releasing what is not yours to carry through breath,

Through gravity,

Through the support beneath you.

If it feels right,

Gently affirm,

I return what is not mine.

I keep what supports life.

Notice any shift,

However small.

More space,

More ease,

Or simple steadiness.

Bring awareness back to your whole being.

Your whole body.

Feel yourself here,

Now,

Intact and present.

May what was entrusted to you be carried with care,

And may what was never yours be gently returned.

Take one final breath.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes and enjoy.
