Welcome to Be Divine,

Your portal of magic.

This is your sanctuary to connect to your soul self,

A place where you can put all external worries into the hands of your spirit guides,

Seen and unseen.

I welcome you to open up and receive the guidance of this practice.

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Let your spine lengthen,

Your shoulder soften,

Your jaw release.

Close your eyes and begin to become aware of your breath.

Feel your body settle with each breath flowing gently through your belly.

Take a deep breath in and exhale gently,

Letting go of the day or creating space for the day ahead.

Now imagine two suns rising within you,

One resting behind your ribs,

One glowing softly behind your eyes.

Each sunlights a different sky,

Each belongs to a different home,

A different rhythm of language,

A different pulse of belonging.

Breathe in,

Feel both lights expand,

Exhale,

Feel them settle side by side.

This is what it means to live in two states of being.

To wake in one world and dream in another.

To feel a call of ancestral wind and the pull of the ground beneath you.

Breathe in and sense the weight of memory,

The taste of food that carries the voice of elders,

The smell of rain that once fell on another soil.

Exhale,

Releasing any tenderness that lingers in your heart space.

The quiet rhythm of distance.

Carrying a bicultural identity can come with something called diasporic grief.

The sorrow that roots itself in love.

It is not absence,

It is remembrance embodied.

This grief is accumulated by those who grew up in the diaspora,

Longing to visit and reconnect with an unvisited home,

An old home built by the backs of our elders.

Hold yourself here and gently take a deep breath in.

Feel the strength of those who came before you.

Feel their steps echoing in your heartbeat.

Exhale,

Feel yourself rooted here in this moment.

As your spirit stretches across oceans and generations,

You are not divided.

You are not less for carrying two homes,

Two sons,

Two states.

You are the meeting place,

The bridge of connection and liberation between them.

Let both lights shine through you now,

Not as halves,

But as wholeness.

Inhale deeply,

Gathering both in your breath.

Exhale slowly,

Letting peace settle over you.

Hold space.

You are watched over.

You are carried.

You are the living memory of every home,

Touched and untouched,

Visited and unvisited.

You are the body of continuity,

The voice of both sons speaking as one,

Merging as one.

Stay here for a few more breaths.

Feel the light,

The warmth,

The stillness.

Breathe in your fullness.

Breathe out your belonging.

Knowing you are exactly where you're meant to be.

You are rooted here and there and everywhere.

You are free to be exactly who you are now,

Who you are today.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Carry both sons within you.

These two states are your power,

Your truth,

Your sense of belonging,

Your strong identity.

Thank you for practicing with me.
