Sometimes we need to stop and pause and think about the language we use when we're talking to ourselves.
We may be quite nasty to ourselves or have a very loud self-critic.
Here,
In the Positive Self Affirmations track,
I'm gonna show you soft,
Gentle,
True comments that you can say to yourself to affirm who you really are and rewire that negative thinking and channel it into a positive way of embracing yourself.
When you're ready,
I'd like to invite you to gently close your eyes.
Breathing in and out as you allow yourself to feel calm and relaxed now.
Now I'd like you to imagine yourself in your mind standing up from your chair and imagine yourself walking down a beautiful path of nature,
Breathing in and out.
Along this beautiful path of nature,
There are gorgeous flowers.
What color are they?
Breathing in and out as you allow yourself to feel calm and relaxed now.
As you continue to walk down the path,
You begin to feel a warm breeze in the air.
You hear the birds chirping along and you allow yourself to feel more and more calm and relaxed now.
As you continue to walk along the path,
You see trees that are tall and short with beautiful oranges hanging off the branches,
Feeling calm and relaxed as you breathe in.
You see a small pond and bend down and let the water trickle over your fingers.
As you stand up and continue to walk along the path,
You allow yourself to enjoy this place of nature.
As you get to the end of the path,
You see a door.
You give yourself permission to open the door.
It's okay.
At the end of the path,
You see three steps in front of you.
Walk down them now.
Three,
One,
And at the bottom of the steps in front of you is the most beautiful,
Gorgeous beach with golden sand and a crystal blue sea.
Now,
I want you to look at your reflection in the sea.
Watch yourself smile as you breathe in and out.
Allow yourself to feel calm and relaxed.
Now,
As you relax even more,
I want you to say back the following positive statements.
Don't worry if you don't believe them to be true.
That's very common at the beginning.
While you're looking at your reflection in the sea,
Let's go.
Repeat after me.
I love myself.
I accept myself.
I approve of myself.
I trust myself.
I know what my needs are.
And I make time for myself and my needs.
I can say no when I need to.
Sometimes it's useful to say the following positive statement.
The following statement in your mind as you breathe.
Breathe in.
Sometimes you may want to say a little prayer.
May I be safe.
May I be healthy.
May I be free of distress.
You may have someone in mind that you would like to pray for.
May they be safe.
May they be healthy.
Use this time as you breathe in and out.
To think about yourself and others,
What do you need to ask for?
So you begin to walk away from the sea.
As you remind yourself that you can come back anytime you choose.
You walk back on the sand and breathe in and out now.
As you see the footprint that you left before.
You're feeling at peace as you hear the birds chirping along.
And you continue to feel the warm sun on your face and shoulders.
Breathing in and out now.
You can see the steps and you breathe in and out as you walk up the steps.
One.
You see the little flowers that line the path.
And as you continue to walk you see the pond that you saw on the way in.
You continue to walk down the path until you see your chair.
You see the chair and you go and sit down.
When I get to number one you will open your eyes and feel calm and refreshed to get you used to and reorient yourself back in the room you're in.
Well done for giving yourself the time to release some tension today.
