I am Ashken.
My topic is about the path to higher consciousness.
So what is higher consciousness?
Higher consciousness is the consciousness of a higher self,
Also known as higher power,
Omnipresence,
Universal intelligence,
Or any term that represents the highest good.
Higher consciousness is ever-increasing awareness of your spiritual essence,
The meaning of life,
And underlying spiritual nature in all things.
It is part of the human that is capable of transcending the conscious mind with its thoughts about past,
Present,
And future to enter the infinite,
Unlimited part of your being.
And in elevating your awareness beyond your normal thought process,
You can experience your true divine nature and infinite potentials with unimaginable constructive peace and profound knowledge.
And with higher consciousness,
You live in wonder and delight as you create a better world around you.
When I was a student in my spiritual studies,
Higher consciousness class was one of the core curriculum requirements that I had to complete.
And I remember the first day when the instructor was explaining and introducing the concept of higher consciousness.
And she said,
Imagine you are in the center of the universe,
Where you can see,
Hear,
And know about everything and everywhere.
Yet you are just standing there still without interfering or interacting with anything or anyone.
You are calm and just observing everything.
This is your higher self,
She said.
I remember my classmates and I looking at each other with a big question mark on our faces.
What is she talking about?
As it was very difficult to understand the concept of higher self,
And especially for me,
The subject was so foreign to me at that time.
And the instructor continued further.
And she said,
To help you understand further what higher self and higher consciousness is,
She said,
Imagine you are in a glass elevator in a building.
When you are on the ground level,
You only have the awareness of that ground level and its surroundings.
And when you push the button to go to the next level,
Now you have a new awareness of another level.
And as you continue rising to the upper levels,
You gain more awareness where you can see all the lower levels below you with a higher perspective.
And when you reach to the very top open level of the building,
Now not only you have the awareness of the lower levels below,
But also have the awareness of the surroundings of the building.
You can see the other buildings nearby,
You can see the streets,
You can see the city and the people.
So the higher you elevate,
The more you can see and aware and conscious of what is going on in the lower levels or the ground levels.
Though you feel disconnected from the ground and the world around you,
And yet you are in it,
You are just standing there and observing everything without interfering or interacting with anyone or anything.
This is your higher self,
She said.
And this is how the consciousness shifts higher to a heightened state of awareness known as your higher self.
This example helped me to understand a little more.
It made sense to me.
And later I got into the Eastern philosophy and studied the chakras,
The chakra system and the rising Kundalini energy and learned their purpose and their relation to our consciousness.
Then I was able to comprehend the concept of the higher self better.
It is believed that there is a correlation between the levels of consciousness and the seven major chakras.
And the chakra system can be used as a yardstick that shows at which level the consciousness is functioning and to ensure the correct function of each chakra.
For example,
The first level of consciousness is related to the root chakra.
The root chakra governs your most basic survival needs such as food and shelter.
So the consciousness is focused on the material or physical needs.
The second level of consciousness is related to the sacral chakra.
This is the chakra that governs the emotional body,
Our sensuality and creativity.
So this level of consciousness is focused on emotions and creativity in all its expressions.
And the third level of consciousness is related to the solar plexus chakra.
The solar plexus is the seat of your power.
It governs your intentions and desires to manifest.
Here the consciousness is focused on achieving desires goals by using willpower.
The fourth level of consciousness is related to the heart chakra.
The heart chakra governs the laws of giving and receiving love.
And the consciousness on this level functions on expressing unconditional love and compassion.
The fifth level of consciousness is related to the throat chakra which governs our communication skills and verbal expressions.
And this is where the consciousness expresses truth without concerns or censors or critics and basically liberated enough to speak truth regardless of any rejection.
The sixth level of consciousness is related to the third eye chakra.
The third eye governs our intuition.
This is the consciousness that has the awareness of the inner voice,
The inner guidance and inner vision.
And it has the capacity to see beyond the physical world.
Remember we are a spiritual being having human experience therefore we can see beyond the physical dimensions.
The seventh level of consciousness is related to the crown chakra.
This is the chakra that governs your pure potentiality,
Your spiritual essence and your wholeness.
This is the level where the consciousness has the awareness of a higher self.
And it is through the crown chakra we connect to our higher self.
This is where the consciousness reaches full enlightenment.
And when you contact your higher self you can access insights and guidance about anything you wish to know.
Your higher self knows everything about you and has the answers to your questions.
But remember your higher self never interferes therefore you must establish a contact and start interacting with your higher self.
So how to contact your higher self?
Here are a few tips.
First,
Believe and have expectations.
The first step is to believe that you have a higher self to establish communication with.
Then expect every day this communication will improve as you focus on your inner growth.
Second,
Transform your worldviews.
We are brought up with primarily materialistic worldviews that neglect the role of the spirit.
To establish close contact with spiritual realms we need to have our entire being,
Conscious and the subconscious,
In alignment with our goals.
Third,
Is solitude.
Make time for yourself where you can be alone,
A quiet place.
By doing this you give time and space for the inner voice to make itself heard.
Fourth,
Is meditation.
Meditation works to discipline your mind and silence the internal chatter.
And by doing so you create a pure vessel for the higher self to fill.
Following your breath is an excellent meditation discipline or visualization.
A golden ball of light that fills your whole body with energy and healing is another way.
Number five is journaling.
Record your feelings,
Emotions,
Dreams and insights every day in a journal.
This will help you to come into closer contact with your inner intuitive depths.
You can ask the higher self questions and later record whatever insights or answers you receive.
Number six is inner dialogue.
Conduct a regular inner dialogue with your higher self.
Keep a contact throughout the day.
Just talk to your higher self by saying,
I know you are there and I want to get to know you.
Please begin to speak to me and guide my life.
And don't worry if the dialogue is entirely one way to begin with.
Remember,
You have been out of touch with your higher self for decades.
So persist with inner dialogue as if talking to a friend or chatting,
Asking questions and sharing your hopes and begin to listen for answers.
And be patient,
They will come true.
Seven is life lessons.
Look upon life as a mystery school.
Believe that your whole life,
Events,
Situations,
People has been structured precisely in order to teach you exactly what you need to know right now.
Whenever something happens in your life for good or bad,
Ask your higher self,
What is the lesson here for me?
Even unpleasant people deliberately placed there as a challenge to help you grow.
And as you begin to view life as a drama and you are not shaken or interrupted,
The role of your higher self will become increasingly evident in your life.
Number eight is dreaming.
Dreaming is another way to contact your higher self.
Expect your higher self to speak to you in your dreams.
For example,
Before going to sleep,
Ask your higher self questions and expect for answers.
And when you wake up,
Recall whatever you can of your dreams and write it down in your journal.
Number nine is mindfulness.
Focus on living more and more in the now.
When walking,
Eating,
Clear the mind of concerns and worries.
The last one is patience.
Remember you have been out of touch with the source for a very long time.
Therefore,
It takes time to reestablish that contact.
Practice these steps and more importantly,
Be patient as they will come.
So in conclusion,
The path to higher consciousness requires to shift our awareness from the lower levels of consciousness to the higher ones and above to above to connect to the higher self where we can gain a full awareness of our lives and surroundings and where we have a higher perspective to view our life from above and where we have the wisdom and the courage on how to manage and steer the direction of our lives to overcome challenges and obstacles that are limiting our full potentials on all seven levels of our consciousness.
And most importantly,
To create and live a balanced and harmonious life and live as enlightened enlightened masters.
And this is what mystics mean by enlightenment,
Not only visiting the higher states of awareness,
But living in them.
