Nighttime Parable Reflection: The Foolish Heart
This talk begins with a short story. A parable titled "The Foolish Heart: the crazy wisdom of Francis Of Assisi" explores the mind and the heart. Powerful reflections follow inviting contemplation of being heart-centred or more tuned to our mind. This talk concludes with a miraculous surprise from the Universe with what can happen when you are "God's Fool." The heart has its own reasons, which the mind cannot understand.

So we got the foolish heart.
Oh my gosh,
This is like my dream.
There's a person and there's lots of animals.
Jamie picked 46 and right at that moment 46 people were here.
Look,
There's a fox,
There's birds all around.
Even the fishy fish are coming to the surface.
This card is called the foolish heart.
Please get comfortable if you want to have this be like a meditation.
Close your eyes.
You can close your eyes and cut off the stimuli of the senses,
Of the seeing,
The hearing.
Allow my words,
The story of the foolish heart to echo through you.
You'll be happy to know everyone that Jamie picked 46 and there's 46 people.
And Spirit,
Do you see the number on top of this card?
Can you make that out?
This might be clear.
Does everyone see what this number is?
It's a bit blurry.
That's correct.
This is the 22,
22nd card.
We know we had a portal this week.
Okay,
Feel free to close your eyes.
I have a story for you.
The foolish heart,
The crazy wisdom of Francis of Assisi.
Fools always have a subtle wisdom in them and the wise always act like fools.
In the old days,
All great emperors always had one fool in their court.
They had many wise men,
Counselors,
Ministers,
Prime ministers,
But always one fool.
Why?
Because there are things so-called wise men will not be able to understand that only a foolish man can understand.
Because the so-called wise are so foolish that their cunningness and their cleverness closes their mind.
A fool is simple and was needed because many times the so-called wise would not say something because they were afraid of the emperor.
A fool is not afraid of anybody else.
He will speak whatsoever the consequence.
This is how fools act simply without thinking what the result will be.
A clever man always thinks first of the result and then he acts.
Thought comes first,
Then action.
A foolish man acts and thought never comes first.
Whenever someone realizes the ultimate,
He is not like your wise men.
He cannot be.
He may be like your fools,
But he cannot be like your wise men.
When Saint Francis became enlightened,
He used to call himself God's fool.
The Pope was a wise man and when Saint Francis went to see him,
Even the Pope thought,
This man has gone mad.
He was intelligent,
Calculating,
Clever.
Otherwise,
How could he be the Pope?
To become a Pope,
One has to pass through much politics.
To become a Pope,
Diplomacy is needed.
A competitive aggression is needed to put others aside,
To use others as ladders and throw them down.
It is politics because a Pope is a political head.
Religion is secondary or nothing at all.
How can a religious man fight and be aggressive for a post?
They are only politicians.
Saint Francis came to see the Pope and the Pope thought the man was a fool.
But trees and birds and fishes thought a different way.
When Saint Francis went to the river,
The fishes would jump in celebration that Francis has come.
Thousands witnessed this phenomenon.
Millions of fishes would jump simultaneously.
The whole river would be lost in jumping fishes.
Saint Francis had come and the fishes were happy.
Wherever he would go,
Birds would follow.
They would come and sit on his leg.
They would come and sit on his body.
They would come and sit on his lap.
They understood this fool better than the Pope.
Even trees that had become dry and were going to die would become green and blossom if Saint Francis came near.
These trees understood well that this fool was no ordinary fool.
He was God's fool.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Allow your mind to remember any detail from the parable.
What you liked.
What surprised you.
What annoyed you.
A closing reflection is that the heart has its own reasons for which the mind cannot understand.
The heart has its own dimension of being which is completely dark for the mind.
The heart is higher and deeper than the mind,
Beyond the reach of it.
It looks foolish.
Love always looks foolish because love is not utilitarian.
Mind is utilitarian.
It uses everything for something else.
That is the meaning of being utilitarian.
Mind is purposive and oriented.
It uses everything into a means.
And love cannot be turned into a means.
This is the problem.
Love in itself,
In itself is the goal.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Move your spine,
Blink your eyes,
Shrug shoulders.
How did that parable hit you,
Impact you?
What did it do to you?
Let's take a few moments and reflect.
The heart is deeper than the mind.
My heart guides me.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful thoughts and kindness.
I love that there was the reflection that the heart is higher than the mind.
The mind may be higher,
Even in the chakras and this and that,
But the heart is higher.
It's a higher frequency than intellect and wisdom.
The mind wants something.
The heart is just a force in itself.
That's so powerful.
Dana says I needed to hear that.
You are a God's fool.
I am God's fool.
I am creator's fool.
If you don't like the word God,
God stands for generating,
Organizing and destroying force.
Change the word God to my authentic self,
Creator,
Source,
Energy,
The universe.
I love that.
I love that this is the 22nd card on this Portal week.
Would you rather be God's fool,
One with the universe,
And have mankind feel you're a bit off and a bit odd and a bit queer?
It's not that you have to be.
It's what's your frequency?
Can you be so authentically you to the impulses of truth,
Of love,
That you're not tiptoeing around?
Who are you going to offend?
When I was reading this,
There was a bit of conflict because I do love choosing my words because they are spells.
Are they passing through their gates?
Is it true?
Is it kind?
Is it necessary?
Do you remember that?
So I was a bit in conflict with that.
So I'm going to sit with this.
This is going to be a bit more reflection for me.
Because there's something about my mom's Aries,
So she can be a bit fiery.
My mom always says,
I tell it like it is.
There is such admiration in telling things like they are.
Of course,
There's consequences if you just call someone out.
Call it out right away.
You're not like tiptoeing through the pillars of politics.
Balance wisdom with foolishness.
Let's echo that.
Close your eyes.
You can even say it out loud and just see how that hits you.
Balance wisdom with foolishness.
Balance wisdom with foolishness.
Balance wisdom with foolishness.
I love that.
Thank you.
So those of you that have gotten to know me over the past few months,
You know that I can be a bit foolish.
Playful,
Creative.
Yes,
Mental health,
Mindfulness,
Inner work can get heavy with all the goals,
The dreams,
The unpacking of traumas and the contrast.
But can we still do the inner work with play,
With some foolishness and mix it up?
I love that we're also reclaiming the word fool.
There's a lot of words that get reclaimed and healed from negative condensation.
So this word about being the fool or being foolish,
We're kind of reclaiming it.
We're charging it in another way.
So I like that.
I'm personally feeling the healing of that word.
How can I use it?
Dare I even claim that I'm a fool?
So let's take that into our week,
The homework of that term.
Thank you,
Julia.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Dance your spine.
Okay,
Listen,
We're going to do a shake out because it's always a good opportunity to shake.
This is going to be a freestyle shake and it literally is a shake.
There's a song that I found this week and it's kind of like a country song.
It's a country song for Sherri Lee.
Sherri Lee,
Sherri Lee.
Oh my gosh,
I hope you're not offended.
I'm being silly.
I'm being the fool.
I'm being God's fool.
Anyhow,
There's this song that I found this week.
It has that country twine to it.
And it's actually perfect because the lyrics are.
.
.
I love my God,
God made hate.
I love my God,
God made love.
I love my God,
God made hate.
But I don't want to pray,
No.
No,
I don't want to pray.
So it's kind of this foolish song.
We're honoring God,
But we're also being the fool.
So you're invited to get up and shake.
Shake your sillies out.
I don't know what my body's going to do,
But I definitely want to shake my sillies out.
So you're welcome to stand,
Shake.
And you're invited to be God's fool in this moment.
Settle.
Find stillness.
Feel free to still move.
Notice if you change your heartbeat,
If you change your breath.
Feel alive.
There's nothing you need to do.
But to be here now in all chaos and glory and all laughter and confusion.
Can you sit with the contrast?
Can you allow yourself to feel joy even when you know there's suffering and war?
Can you be the change to find peace,
Grace in this moment,
Joy that's activated without influence?
Just like God's fool,
The birds have come forth.
Thank you,
God.
Thank you for the sign of the universe.
The birds have come.
I trust you can hear it all,
Community.
Wow.
I love you.
I love my God,
God made me.
I love my God,
God made the birdies.
I love my God,
God made the trees.
I love my God,
God made the snow.
I love my God,
God made the blue,
Endless skies and seas.
What a majestic,
Magical moment.
We are all co-creating.
Wow.
Osho's parable.
Wow.
I don't want to pray song,
Edward Sharp and the magnetic zeros.
And then the birds came forth.
It's minus 15.
The birds have come forth.
They don't always come on cold days,
But they came forth because we are God's fool.
Let's take a moment of silence because I'll remind you,
This is not a virtual gathering.
We are powerful,
Energetic beings,
And we just got affirmed beyond space and time.
What beauty.
