Vedic Glossary: Sakhyam
Sakhyam (સખ્યમ) means friendship — a deep, personal bond with God in which love flows freely, without fear or formality. It is one of the nine forms of devotion (Navadha Bhakti), where the soul relates to the Divine as its closest and most trusted companion. Through this sacred friendship, the heart opens fully, and the presence of God becomes constant and natural. Rooted in Akshar-Purushottam Vedanta, this reflection reveals how Sakhyam is not mere sentiment, but a state where the devotee shares every thought, joy, and sorrow with Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the Aksharbrahman Guru, feeling safe, uplifted, and understood. It is a relationship in which reverence deepens love, and love strengthens surrender. Let this track help you cultivate trust, dissolve inner barriers, and rest in the warmth of God’s constant companionship.
