Welcome to this brief meditation focusing on our third eye chakra.
In Sanskrit this is called our Ajna chakra.
Take a few moments here to make any final adjustments and take any position that will allow you to remain comfortable and still for about five minutes or so.
Knowing that any numbness or tingling or pain is always an invitation to adjust your posture so that you can remain relaxed and comfortable.
Once you're settled you can allow the hands to fall where they may,
Allow the shoulders to melt down the back and really surrender into the pose that you've chosen.
Our Ajna chakra is all about intuition.
So allow your intuition to guide you,
Really seeing any ideas or concepts of where you should go or what this meditation should be like or how you should feel.
And instead tap into that inner wisdom and inner knowing.
This is the essence of the Ajna chakra.
As you allow yourself to surrender you can bring your awareness to the third eye or the point in between the eyebrows and slightly up.
Knowing that our intuition speaks to us in whispers and visions and feelings.
So long as you remain open and sensitive enough to receive.
This chakra corresponds to our brain,
To our pituitary gland,
And our sense of intuition and deep,
Deep knowing.
We come here that we tap into our wisdom.
So become the darkness behind your eyes and know that you are home in this space.
Acknowledge yourself as free.
Begin to relax into this deep trust that you know exactly what to do.
The element of this chakra is sound.
I like to think of this as the sound of our own heart.
The sound of our breath.
When we come into contact with these sounds,
We come into contact with our wisdom and our trust.
That we have everything we need to move through this life with grace and ease.
From this chakra from the center.
Your intuition takes you on the journey of your soul.
So find the language of your intuition and let it fill this darkness fill the silence.
And with your inhalations and exhalations you begin to visualize this ancient seed sound or Bijan mantra kasham.
With every inhalation hearing this ancient syllable kasham.
And with every exhalation repeating internally kasham.
Allowing this internal repetition to awaken to vibrate to your third eye chakra.
Keeping your awareness on this physical point in the body.
Just above the middle of the eyebrows and allow yourself to be permeated with pure light.
And as you prepare to close tuning back into the breath and if you'd like,
You can physically bring two fingers to your third eye space and connect with the chakra in this way feeling into the space.
Final inhalation through the nose and exhalation through the mouth.
I encourage you to remain in this space with the eyes closed for as long as is comfortable.
And when you're ready you can blink your eyes open.
