Welcome to the listening Earth.
Take a moment to settle in.
Find your comfy space warm and cozy and gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and as you release,
Allow your body to soften,
Letting go of any stress or tension.
Long ago,
Before time was counted and before the land had names,
The Earth,
It breathed more loudly and humans remembered how to listen.
In those days,
It was believed that nature did not belong to anyone.
It was a living presence,
Aware,
Responsive and generous,
But only to those who approached it with respect.
There was a woman who lived at the edge of a vast forest.
She was not known as a healer,
Nor a teacher,
Nor a seeker.
She was simply known as someone who listened.
Each morning,
She would walk barefoot across the soil,
Allowing the cool earth to remind her that she was held.
And each evening,
She placed her hand against the trunk of an old tree,
Offering gratitude for the day,
Whether it had been easy or heavy.
But one season,
The land began to feel tired.
The river slowed,
The wind,
It lost its playful song,
And the animals,
They moved quietly as if conserving something precious.
The woman,
She felt it too,
A dull ache in her chest,
A sense of disconnection she could not explain.
So,
One dawn morning,
She walked deeper into the forest than she ever had been before.
She did not ask for healing,
She did not ask for answers,
She simply sat.
And for the first time,
She noticed something she had forgotten.
Nature was not waiting to give,
Nature was waiting to receive.
So,
She placed her palms on the ground and offered her breath.
With each exhale she took,
She released her worries into the soil.
And with each inhale,
She allowed the quiet strength of the earth to rise into her body.
The wind began to stir,
Not to take,
But to exchange.
The trees,
They leaned closer,
Not to teach,
But to listen.
And the river shimmered,
Not with effort,
But with understanding.
In that moment,
The woman,
She remembered this ancient truth.
Healing is not something we take from nature,
It is something we enter into relationship with.
When we give our presence,
Our gratitude,
Our willingness to slow down,
Nature responds.
Not dramatically,
Not loudly,
But steadily.
Now,
As the woman returned home,
The land began to shift.
The river flowed again,
The wind it found its voice,
And the ache in her chest softened.
Not because it disappeared,
But because it was no longer carried alone.
And from that beautiful day onwards,
The people were reminded.
If you wish for insight,
Offer stillness.
If you wish for healing,
Offer respect.
And if you wish for connection,
Offer yourself fully,
Without expectation.
And the earth,
It will meet you there,
Always.
So,
As you return to your day,
Remember nature is not separate from you.
Each breath is an exchange,
And each step is a conversation.
Thank you for joining me on this gentle legend that reconnects you with the living energy of nature.
Until next time,
Namaste,
My friend.
