Welcome!
Samhain,
When the veil grows thin.
As we gather here in this quiet space,
The wheel of the year turns once more.
We've arrived at Samhain,
The threshold between autumn and winter,
Light and dark,
Seen and unseen.
Samhain is an ancient Celtic festival,
Marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker half of the year.
It's said that at this time,
The veil between worlds grows thin and we can feel the presence of spirit more clearly,
The ancestors who walked before us,
The loved ones who guide us still,
And the whispering wisdom of the earth as she settles into rest.
So,
Take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Visualize yourself softening into the stillness of this moment.
Let the outer world fade,
And just feel yourself entering a sacred in-between.
It's a space of remembrance and renewal.
In nature,
This is a time of release.
The trees let go of their leaves without resistance,
The air cools,
The light wanes,
And the earth seems to draw inward.
There is beauty in this surrender.
It's a wisdom that reminds us that letting go is not an ending,
But a preparation for transformation.
So,
What are you ready to lay down now?
What has run its course,
Served its purpose,
Or become too heavy to carry forward?
And with each exhale,
Just visualize gently releasing an old story,
A burden,
A self-doubt.
Let it fall softly to the earth,
Like a leaf returning to the soil that once nourished it.
The earth receives it all with compassion,
With love,
With patience.
Take another breath in,
And as you exhale,
Just feel yourself honoring the cycles of life,
Of loss,
Of renewal.
Or just feel the comfort of knowing that endings and beginnings are forever entwined.
And remember that Samhain is also a time of remembrance,
To honor those who came before us,
And the wonderful wisdom they left behind.
You might think of an ancestor,
A loved one,
Or even someone whose influence has touched you from afar.
You might picture them smiling softly,
Watching over you with warmth and understanding.
Perhaps they whisper something,
Not in words,
But in feeling.
It's a reassurance,
A reminder that you are never alone.
You carry their strength,
Their dreams,
Their love within you.
And the thread that connects you to them can never be broken.
It only changes form.
Visualize now that you're standing in a quiet autumn forest at twilight.
Mist drifts gently between the trees,
Soft,
Shimmering,
Like a veil of silver.
And in the distance,
A single lantern glows.
It's steady and warm.
You walk toward it slowly.
Each step is grounding you in gratitude.
This light is your own inner flame,
The spark that remains constant through every season,
Every change.
And as you stand before it,
Just feel its warmth,
Your own strength,
Your own love is reflected back to you.
Take a few quiet breaths here,
Just letting the light fill your heart.
With every inhale,
Draw in peace.
And with every exhale,
Offer love to those who came before,
To those who will come after,
And to yourself,
Here and now.
So,
May you carry this stillness with you.
May you honor your own rhythms,
Your light and your shadow,
Your holding and your release.
May this sun pain bring you gentle endings,
Peaceful beginnings,
And the deep knowing that you are always held by the earth,
By love,
By the endless turning of the wheel.
With blessings for this sacred season,
I wish you peace,
Remembrance,
And renewal.
Namaste,
My friend.
