Welcome to the Himalayan Sleep Ritual for Deep Sleep.

Find your comfortable space for sleep,

Warm and cozy,

And gently close your eyes.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in,

And exhale gently,

Letting go of any stress or tension.

Take another slow,

Deep breath,

And release your thoughts,

Letting them drift far away.

Bring your awareness into your heart center,

And notice a softness there.

Another beautiful breath in,

And this time take the breath down to your abdomen.

Relax.

With a deep exhale,

Take another slow,

Deep breath,

And know that in this moment,

All is well.

Tune into the present moment.

Let go of your day.

Now,

Let your shoulders and neck area relax,

Your arms,

Back,

Abdomen,

Hips,

Legs,

And feet.

Relax and breathe.

Breathing is your connection to life and the natural world,

And like all of nature,

It has a rhythm.

Just gently and slowly tune into the rhythm of your breath.

Now,

Take a moment to visualize yourself high in the Himalayan mountains.

This is where the air is crisp and pure.

The sky above you is deep and endless,

Filled with shimmering stars.

And far below,

The world is quiet,

Wrapped in deep stillness.

You step into a sacred stone sanctuary,

Which is carved into the side of the mountain.

It is a place of deep rest and is untouched by time.

Inside,

The air is warm,

Safe,

And peaceful.

There is a soft golden fire that flickers,

And it's casting a gentle light across the stone walls.

You settle onto a soft cushion wrapped in a thick woven blanket.

Outside,

The wind whispers through the peaks.

Steady,

Rhythmic,

It's lulling you into a deeper sense of ease.

And as you breathe in,

You absorb the stillness of this sacred space.

And as you breathe out,

You release all tension,

Letting go of the outside world.

Now,

We'll slow your breath to guide your body into deeper relaxation.

Breathe in deeply through your nose,

Feeling the warmth fill your chest.

Pause for a moment and exhale slowly,

Allowing all remaining tension to melt away.

Once again,

A deep inhale,

Expanding gently,

And a long,

Slow exhale,

Releasing even more.

Now,

Allow your breath to settle into a natural effortless rhythm.

With each inhale,

You draw in peace,

Stillness,

And warmth.

And with each exhale,

You sink deeper into rest and stillness.

You are now very relaxed and calm.

We'll now move into a scan for deep sleep.

Bring your awareness to the crown of your head.

Feel a warm,

Gentle wave of relaxation begin to flow down from this point.

Feel the tiny muscles in your scalp softening,

Like ripples dissolving into still water.

Now,

Your forehead smooths completely,

Releasing any tension held here.

Your eyebrows soften.

Your eyelids grow heavy and relaxed,

Sinking deeper into rest.

Feel the muscles around your temples release,

Like a gentle breeze moving through them.

Now,

Let this relaxation spread to your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Allowing it to unclench,

Your tongue resting lightly against the roof of your mouth.

Even the tiny muscles inside your ears relax.

Your hearing is softening,

No longer reaching for sounds,

But just drifting into stillness.

Now,

Bring your awareness to your neck,

Where so much tension is carried.

Feel the back of your neck lengthen,

Softening into complete ease.

Both sides of your neck release now,

Letting go of any tightness.

Now,

Feel the muscles in your throat soften.

Your voice quiets.

Your breath is flowing effortlessly.

Now,

With each exhale you take,

Feel your neck and throat melt fully into this deep rest,

As if you are sinking into a warm,

Supportive cushion.

Now,

Shift your awareness to your right shoulder.

Feel it drop slightly,

Releasing all weight and effort.

This warmth moves down into your upper arm,

Softening your biceps,

Melting into your triceps.

They are feeling so much looser.

Now,

The relaxation reaches your elbow.

Every small muscle and joint loosens.

Your forearm unwinds.

Tension is flowing down and out.

Now,

Your wrist softens.

Any last traces of strain is dissolving.

Your right hand relaxes completely.

Your palm is warm,

Open.

Each finger lets go now,

One by one.

Your thumb,

Your index finger,

Your middle finger,

Your ring finger,

And your little finger,

Until your entire right arm is resting in total stillness.

Now,

Bring this same gentle awareness to your left shoulder.

Allow it to drop completely at ease.

Your upper arm releases,

Biceps and triceps melting into softness.

Your elbow loosens,

Unlocking any lingering tightness.

Your forearm grows warm and heavy,

With waves of relaxation flowing downward.

Now,

Your wrist softens.

There's no effort remaining.

Your left hand relaxes.

Fingers are spreading slightly as tension melts away.

Each of your fingers releases individually.

Your thumb,

Index,

Middle,

Ring,

And your little finger,

Until your entire left arm is sinking deeper into stillness.

Now,

Bring your awareness to your upper back.

This is where you may have carried the weight of your day.

So,

Feel your shoulder blades melt as if warm sunlight is dissolving all tension there.

One by one,

Each vertebrae in your upper spine unwinds.

This is creating space and ease.

Now,

Your mid-back softens.

Muscles are relaxing around your ribs,

Allowing your breath to flow freely.

Each inhale brings warmth.

Each exhale releases any last remaining tightness.

Now,

Bring your awareness to your lower back,

Where these deep muscles often hold tension.

Feel your lumbar spine loosen,

Each vertebrae floating in space.

The muscles surrounding your hips release,

Allowing your pelvis to feel completely at ease.

Now,

Your left hand relaxes.

You shift your focus to your abdomen.

Feel your stomach soften.

It's no longer holding tension.

Your internal organs are now resting in perfect balance.

Your stomach,

Liver,

Intestines,

And kidneys are all settling into a beautiful,

Deep,

And peaceful state.

Each breath you take now allows for greater expansion,

Release,

And stillness.

Now,

Bring your attention to your right hip.

Feel it release,

No longer gripping.

This relaxation flows into your thigh,

Warming your quadriceps and hamstrings,

Melting away all effort.

Now,

Your knee softens.

Every joint and ligament is now deeply relaxing.

Your calf muscles loosen,

Growing heavier,

Sinking deeper.

And now,

The relaxation reaches your ankle.

Feel any last bits of tension flowing away.

Your right foot relaxes completely.

The arch softens.

The heel grows heavy.

The top of your foot unwinds.

And now,

Each toe releases one by one.

Your big toe,

Second toe,

Third,

Fourth,

And your little toe,

Until your entire right leg is resting in perfect stillness.

Now,

Let's move your focus to your left hip.

Feel it completely surrender.

Your left thigh melts into relaxation.

Quadriceps and hamstrings are unwinding effortlessly.

Your knee releases.

Joints and ligaments are softening.

Your calf relaxes.

Warmth is spreading down towards your ankle.

And now,

Your ankle unwinds.

All stiffness is disappearing.

Your left foot relaxes.

The heel is settling.

The top of your foot is softening.

Now,

Each toe lets go one by one,

Until your entire leg is sinking into complete stillness.

Now,

Feel your entire body,

Head to toe,

And see and notice that it is completely at peace.

No effort,

No tension,

No weight.

Just softness,

Warmth,

And pure stillness.

Beautiful.

Now,

You visualize yourself floating in the vast expanse of the night sky.

You are cradled by the mountains of the Himalayas,

Held by this silence.

Breathing in,

You merge with the quiet,

And breathing out,

You sink deeper into deep rest.

There is nowhere to go,

Nothing to do.

Just being,

Resting,

Surrendering to sleep.

Now,

Visualize a soft,

Golden lamp beside you.

It's glowing gently,

Like the last light of dusk.

A Tibetan monk once said that sleep is a journey,

One where the soul drifts like a feather on the wind,

Carried into the dream realms.

And so,

You prepare for this sacred journey.

Visualize a small bowl of warm,

Herbal oil that sits beside you.

It's infused with the essence of sandalwood,

Cedar,

And sacred juniper.

Scents are long used in Himalayan sleep rituals to calm the mind and soothe your spirit.

So,

Imagine you are dipping your fingers into this warm oil and gently touch your forehead,

Tracing a soft,

Invisible circle,

Marking the space for inner peace.

You press your palms together in gratitude,

Honoring this moment of stillness.

Now,

You are resting in the soft glow of firelight.

Your body is sinking deeper into the warmth of your woven blanket.

And outside,

The wind hums through the mountain valleys,

Carrying ancient lullabies sung by the earth itself.

Now,

With each breath,

You feel yourself melting into the stone,

Into the mountain,

Into the quiet night.

The air is cool.

The fire is warm.

Your body is weightless.

Your mind and your heart is at peace.

You are completely safe,

Held by the embrace of the Himalayas.

And as the stars drift across the sky,

You drift into deep,

Healing sleep.

There is nothing to hold,

Nothing to do,

Nowhere to be,

Only this deep,

Quiet peace surrounding you like a warm embrace.

Now,

Visualize yourself lying beneath the vast night sky,

The snow-covered peaks glowing softly under the moonlight.

The wind whispers across the mountains.

It's a sacred lullaby carrying you into your sleep.

Breathing in,

You feel weightless.

Breathing out,

You sink deeper.

Each breath is drawing you into an even deeper rest.

Into the quiet,

Into the dream world.

Softly,

Gently,

You drift into the stillness of the Himalayas,

Into your deep sleep and rest.

Sleep well,

My friend.

Namaste.
