Before listening to this third trimester meditation, make sure you are in a quiet room, that you are comfortable and warm enough, and will not be disturbed. Find a comfortable position,

Either seated with support behind your back or lying on your side with cushions to support your belly and legs.

Allow your hands to rest gently on your belly and when you're ready,

Close your eyes.

Let the outside world pause.

This is time for you and your baby.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

And exhale slowly through your mouth.

Letting go.

Let's repeat that two more times.

Inhale deeply.

Filling your body with calm.

Exhale.

Softening the body.

Quieting the mind.

And once more.

Inhale.

And exhale completely.

Now allow your breath to find its own natural rhythm.

Smooth.

Even.

And soft.

Imagine each inhale bringing peace into your body.

Each exhale releasing tension.

In your shoulders.

Your back.

Your hips.

Your jaw.

If thoughts arise,

Gently come back to the breath.

Inhale calm.

Exhale tension.

Now bring your attention to your belly.

And with both hands,

Place gently on your womb.

Feel the warmth of your hands.

And feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath.

With each inhale,

Imagine sending love and light through your hands to your baby.

And with each exhale,

Imagine your baby feeling more peaceful.

More held.

More safe.

And take a moment to speak to your baby.

Either silently or out loud.

I am here with you.

I love you.

We are preparing for this journey together.

Feel that connection.

Your baby knows your voice.

Your heartbeat.

Your breath.

Just breathe here for a few moments.

In quiet.

Loving presence.

Now,

Imagine a soft golden light.

Pouring from above your head.

Flowing gently down over your body.

Relaxing your mind.

Softening your shoulders even more.

Flowing down your back.

Around your belly.

Hips.

And legs.

This golden light wraps you and your baby in a safe cocoon.

You are both held.

You are both protected.

You are both strong.

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale.

Prepare to receive some positive affirmations.

You may repeat them silently in your mind.

Or out loud if you want to.

I trust my body.

I trust my body and my baby.

I am strong and calm.

My baby feels my love and safety.

I release fear and welcome peace.

Each day brings me closer to meeting my baby.

I am preparing for birth in body,

Mind and spirit.

My breath grounds and calms me.

My body knows how to birth my baby.

My baby and I are a powerful team.

I will honour the path that my birth takes.

Vaginal or c-section,

All birth is sacred.

I welcome support and I know I do not have to do this alone.

My baby will arrive in the perfect way at the perfect time.

I deserve a birth filled with dignity,

Safety and love.

I am grateful for my beautiful body and all that it is doing.

I am ready to welcome my baby with courage,

Grace and joy.

Take one last deep grounding breath.

Feel your body.

Feel your baby.

And bring your hands to your heart.

And thank yourself for doing this meditation today.
