Welcome to this postpartum meditation,
Find a quiet comfortable place to sit or lie down and when you're ready gently close your eyes and just allow your hands to rest loosely on your lap or at your sides.
Let's begin by inhaling deeply through the nose for a count of 4,
Then hold the breath for 4 and then slowly exhale through the mouth for a count of 6.
So just repeat this for a few rounds,
Inhaling through the nose for 4,
Holding the breath for 4 and breathing out through the mouth for 6.
Allowing your body to soften with every exhale,
Well done.
Now,
As you inhale and exhale,
I'd like you to notice the rise and fall of your breath.
So feeling your abdomen rise as you breathe in and feeling it fall as you breathe out.
Gently does it,
Just noticing your tummy go up and down with each cycle of breath.
Well done,
Now as you inhale,
Silently say to yourself,
I breathe in peace and as you exhale,
I breathe out tension and just repeat this cycle until you hear my voice again.
Now I'd like you to imagine yourself surrounded by a warm ball of golden light.
This light is calm,
Safe and nurturing and as you breathe in,
I'd like you to visualize the golden light filling your body,
Nourishing you with love,
Vitality and peacefulness.
You are supported by this golden light and with every cycle of breath,
You come back home to yourself and your body.
Well done,
Now I'm going to say a series of positive and empowering postpartum affirmations.
I will pause after each one so you can repeat the words back to yourself in your mind if you want to.
Alternatively,
Just listen and allow yourself to absorb the positivity from the words.
I am doing my best and that is more than enough.
My body has done something miraculous,
It's okay to rest,
Healing after birth takes time.
I trust my maternal intuition and inner strength.
I am learning,
Growing and evolving every day.
My emotions are valid,
I allow myself to feel them.
My baby loves me and needs me just as I am.
I am more than enough for my child.
It's okay to ask for help,
It's a sign of strength.
Each breath grounds me in calm and safety.
I give myself grace on this journey.
My body deserves love and appreciation.
I honor the pace of my postpartum healing.
I am strong,
Even when I feel tired or unsure.
It's okay not to have all the answers.
I am building a stronger bond with my baby day by day.
I am worthy of love,
Rest and care.
I will grow through every challenge.
My baby doesn't need a perfect mother,
Just a present one.
I forgive myself for moments of doubt or frustration.
I welcome joy and ease into my life.
I am enough,
Just as I am right now.
Well done for taking the time to do this meditation practice today.
I hope that you feel calmer and more at ease.
For maximum benefit,
Listen to this meditation every day for 21 days in a row.
Sending you and your baby lots of love.
