Welcome to today's Yoga Nidra.

My name is Anna,

I'm the founder of &BeYoga and I'm very pleased to be with you here today.

So let's take a little bit of time to find our nest,

Making ourselves as comfortable as we possibly can,

Getting all nice and cozy,

Noticing if you may like something underneath your knees,

A pillow under your head,

Would you like a blanket to be nice and warm?

And how about just allowing yourself to rest just as you are,

Allowing every single part of you to come to rest.

Noticing if you can allow your body to release further down towards whatever is holding you,

Whether it's the bed or sofa or the floor.

Can you allow your breath to travel freely through the nostrils just as it is?

There's nothing more that you need to do and at this moment nowhere that you need to be apart from here.

How can you let your body get just a little bit more comfortable,

Even if it's one percent more comfortable?

What could that be?

You might notice that the fingers might like to move a little further away from the wrists,

The wrists a little further away from the shoulder,

And the shoulders a little further away from the ears and down towards whatever is supporting you.

You may notice that the feet want to come a little further away from one another or further away from your hips.

And the tailbone might like to nudge a little closer to your heels and the crown of your head might like to lengthen a little further away from the nook of your neck.

And how is it to notice your body just being?

Simply being.

Simply being here now and noticing yourself resting.

Noticing the sounds around you from the most obvious sounds to the subtlest of sounds.

From the closest sounds to the sounds furthest away.

Noticing the air on your skin.

The temperature of the air.

Does the air move?

Can you feel maybe a breeze on your skin?

Or is there humidity?

How does it feel?

Can you allow the body to soften even further down?

Completely surrendering,

Completely releasing with the confidence that the space beneath you holds you.

Maybe the eyes are closed now or if the gaze stays soft,

Noticing the colors and space around you.

And if the eyes are closed,

Just feeling around the space of the eyelids and noticing any shapes that might be arising,

Colors even.

Noticing the space of the eyes and around the eyes softening,

Releasing.

Maybe noticing the space in the mouth,

The tongue releasing away from the mouth maybe and saliva in the mouth and space around the teeth.

And you may notice how when you inhale there's a coolness to your inhale,

Following the inhale up the nostrils.

And the warmth of the exhale as it flows out the nostrils and into the space around you.

I wonder if you can follow your breath into your body until you notice that moment when the breath absorbs into you.

No defining between you and your breath,

You're just one.

Can you notice when that happens?

And as you exhale can you follow your breath into the space around you and can you notice that moment when your breath is absorbed into the space around you?

Can you notice a pause between your inhale and exhale?

Or your exhale and your inhale?

How does that space in the pause feel?

Giving yourself permission to sense into your intuition.

You may like to invite a sankalpa into your yoga nidra.

You may notice that simply being here is enough.

Knowing that your intuitive wisdom resides in every cell of your body.

In your resting body.

If you choose to bring a sankalpa into your practice know that this is a heartfelt intention.

Something that your heart desires.

Let it come from the depths of your being.

Let it come from the heart rather than the head.

Feeling your body now resting in stillness.

And as your body remains resting in this place at this moment how about taking a mental stroll around your body through your mind's eye.

Inviting rest to nourish the whole of you.

Every single part of you.

All the way to the space of the collarbones.

The space between the eyes.

The muscles around the eyes.

Right eye.

Left eye.

The whole of the head space.

The whole body.

The whole body is resting.

Now that the body is completely at rest Can you notice the subtle flow within?

Every single part of you is resting.

How would it be to welcome the part and the whole to rest together at the same time?

However,

Whatever you're feeling in this moment How about you just allow yourself to be just as you are?

You may now like to bring into your mind's eye a place where it feels like home.

It does not need to be your actual home.

It might be a place which conjures up complete joy.

It may be a garden.

A landscape.

It doesn't even have to be real.

Come into that space.

Notice what's in the space.

Are there trees?

Is there water?

How's the temperature in this space?

What's the weather?

I wonder now if you may like to invite your higher self into this space.

You may call this your inner guide,

Your inner teacher,

Your intuition.

Some people like to imagine this as an older version of themselves.

And just visualize now that you are standing or maybe sitting together.

Noticing now if your higher self may have anything they may like to share with you.

Or you may have a question that you may like to ask them.

Take your time.

It may be that you just appreciate their presence.

And now just letting your higher self know that you'll be going now but you can always come back.

And just feeling your body here right now in this place resting in this one tiny part of Earth on the whole surface of this planet.

Reminding yourself that it's enough just to be here as you are.

And if an intention arose for this practice at the start,

How does it feel to return to that intention now?

Where in your body can you feel your wisdom resting?

And as you become aware once again of the coolness of your inhale the warmth of your exhale sensing the energy that is carried through your inhale into your body into the deepest parts of your body right out to the periphery.

Sensing how the exhale flows into the space around you into the sounds around you the light that might be surrounding you the energy that might be around you and as your inhale fills your body all the way through to the toes,

To the crown of the head to the fingertips,

To the back body,

To the front body filling you with more and more energy you may eventually like to start to wiggle your fingers wiggle your toes,

Giving yourself a stretch or a squeeze.

You may like to bring the hands together and rub them together creating some heat in your hands and bringing them onto your eyes maybe opening your eyes behind your palms and when you're ready you may be giving yourself a good stretch through your arms stretch through the legs and coming onto your side in that space between yoga nidra and the rest of your day Namaste
