So hi everyone,
Thank you for joining me and if you're listening to this,
Chances are that you're feeling overwhelmed.
Maybe the world feels too loud,
Too bright or too fast.
Perhaps you feel like you've taken on more than you can carry.
Or it's like your whole system is on high alert with no way to turn it off.
Now you might be someone who feels everything deeply.
The emotions of others,
Energy in the rooms and the weight of the world's pain.
And right now it might all feel like too much.
I want you to know that your sensitivity isn't a flaw and your ability to feel deeply is actually a gift,
Even when it feels overwhelming.
So today we are going to help your system find relief,
Like finally being able to exhale after holding your breath for too long.
Now find a comfortable position where you can rest completely.
Let your eyes close gently and know that for the next little while you don't have to manage anything or hold space for anyone else.
This time is just for you.
So as you've closed your eyes and found the most comfortable position for you in this moment,
Take a moment to simply acknowledge how you're feeling right now.
Don't try to change it or label it or fix it.
How are you feeling right now?
Just acknowledge.
Let yourself notice what's here.
Now maybe there is a buzzing feeling,
Heaviness,
Activity in my chest,
Tightness in your head.
Maybe your whole body feels heavy like you're carrying invisible weights.
Your body has been working so hard to process everything that you've been absorbing.
The conversations,
The environments,
The emotions,
The energy.
Your sensitive system has been taking it all in,
Trying to make sense of it,
Trying to hold it.
But your body was never meant to carry someone else's emotions along with your own.
It was never meant to be constantly on guard,
Constantly processing,
Constantly overwhelmed.
So let's take a breath now and let your body know,
I see how hard you've been working.
I understand why you feel so tired.
And we take two more breaths.
I see how hard you've been working.
I understand why you feel so tired.
And again,
I see how hard you've been working.
I understand why you feel so tired.
Now as we have acknowledged how we are feeling now,
I want you to now imagine a sacred space around you.
If you're a visual person,
Maybe you can see a protective bubble of soft light around you.
A gentle protective bubble of light surrounds me now.
And remember,
This is not a wall that keeps everything out.
It is more like a filter that only allows in what truly belongs to you.
So as you sit here and we are creating this sacred safe space,
Feel the bubble around you extending about your arm's length all around you.
And any emotions that you've picked up,
Any energy that doesn't belong to you,
Any overwhelm that came from outside,
All of that stays outside the sacred space.
Inside this bubble,
Inside this sacred safe container,
It's only you.
So as I move everything out of the bubble,
What I'm left with is my breath,
My heartbeat,
And my own authentic energy.
So with the next few breaths,
You'll start to feel everything fade away that you may have taken on moving outside the bubble.
And you're going to be left with your breath,
Your heartbeat,
And your authentic energy.
Notice how much quieter it feels in here.
How much more spacious.
And this is your sanctuary,
Your inner sanctuary.
And your body can now finally begin to relax.
Because it doesn't have to process anyone else's experiences right now.
Giving it a little bit of structure.
With each exhale now,
Let your body release whatever it's been carrying that doesn't belong to you.
With each exhale now,
Let your body release whatever it's been carrying that doesn't belong to you.
You don't need to know what it is or where it came from.
Just let your breath carry it away.
You don't need to know what it is or where it came from.
Just exhale and let your breath carry it away.
Breathe out the worry that isn't yours.
The sadness that belongs to someone else.
And the stress from environments that feel too intense.
The emotions you may have absorbed without realizing.
Your body knows exactly what you're releasing right now.
Just trust it to let go of whatever has been weighing you down.
With each breath out,
Feel yourself becoming lighter and more of yourself.
Lighter and more of yourself.
It's like taking off heavy clothes that were never your size to begin with.
Letting them go.
Letting them go.
Letting them go.
Now place one hand on your heart.
One hand on your belly.
Feel the natural rhythm of your body now.
As I'm dropped into my inner sanctuary now,
I'm more aware of my heartbeat,
My breath and the gentle pulse of life moving through you.
Feeling what I feel in my heart and in my belly.
This is your rhythm.
Not influenced by anyone else's space or energy.
Feel how naturally peaceful it is when it's just yours.
Your sensitive system has been like a tuning fork.
Vibrating in response to everything around you.
Now we are going to help it remember its own natural frequency.
Now breathe into your hands and feel your body's own gentle vibration.
Breathe into your hands and feel your body's own gentle vibration.
This is your body's true frequency.
Calm,
Peaceful,
Beautifully sensitive but not overwhelmed.
Now your sensitivity is not too much.
The world that feels overwhelming is too much.
Your sensitivity is perfect.
It's perfectly calibrated.
You're just experiencing a world that is often out of balance.
So we'll say that again.
My sensitivity is perfect.
I'm just experiencing the world that's very very often out of balance.
Now feel into this truth of your sensitivity as a gift.
This allows me to feel beauty more deeply.
To sense what others need and create comfort and healing.
But this gift of sensitivity that you have,
It also needs to be protected and honored.
So it is not forced to absorb everything around it.
Think of your sensitivity like a beautiful flower.
It is meant to bloom and share its beauty but it also needs the right conditions.
Gentle light,
Nourishing water,
Not flooding rain,
Not harsh Sun.
Taking another breath now.
Now if you were feeling overwhelmed before we started,
We are now going to work on creating an internal dimmer switch.
Your body has an internal dimmer switch for sensitivity and right now it might be turned all the way up,
Making everything feel intense and overwhelming.
Everything around me right now feels intense and overwhelming.
Now as you place your attention in the center of your chest,
You may have your hand there already,
Find this dimmer switch now.
In your mind's eye maybe,
Where is this switch in my chest?
Maybe it's a dial,
A slider or just a control button that you can see and adjust.
Anything that shows up for you now,
Just unconditionally trust it.
Now right now notice where it's set.
Is it at a hundred percent?
Is it stuck on high?
Now visualize,
See,
Sense or receive my words.
Gently,
Slowly start turning it down to a level that feels comfortable.
Gently,
Slowly start turning it down to a level that feels comfortable.
Maybe it's 70,
50 or whatever feels right for you in this moment.
As you're making this adjustment now,
Feel your whole system beginning to soften.
You can now hover your hand,
Move your hand in a circle over your heart and this is us adjusting your switch for sensitivity.
Calming it,
Calming it,
Softening it.
The volume of the world turns down,
The intensity decreases.
I'm still able to feel but it's at a level where I can handle and I can now begin to soften,
Soften and soften.
Now you can gently stop moving your hand and just take a moment to breathe this new setting,
This internal shift that you've made.
Just notice how much more spacious everything feels when you're not receiving every signal,
Every stimulus at maximum volume.
Now we are going to help your body release emotions that you've absorbed from others.
Sensitive people often pick up feelings from their environment like sponges absorbing water.
Bring your attention back to your heart center which is calm,
Gentle and soft and notice if there are any emotions sitting there that feel foreign,
That don't quite match your natural emotional state and the body knows exactly what we are working on.
So with each exhale now imagine releasing these borrowed emotions back to where they came from,
With love,
Without judgment.
You don't need to carry other people's sadness,
Anxiety or anger or the weight and pains of the world.
Breathe out any worry that doesn't belong to you.
This could simply be you breathing out and relaxing or you may have a sense or a vision of a person or a situation that may have been draining you or you could just simply receive my words and see how your body responds.
I am now breathing out any worry that doesn't belong to me,
Any fear that belongs to someone else,
Any heaviness that I picked up from conversations from my external environment.
My heart space now becomes clearer,
Lighter and more authentic.
Clearer,
Lighter and more authentic.
Now that you've cleared what isn't yours,
Now let's tune into emotions that are authentically present for you.
Maybe there is relief,
Calm,
Safety,
Joy,
Lightness.
Whatever you find,
Welcome it gently now into your heart.
Now today your body learnt a new way of being in the world.
Sensitive but protected,
Open but boundaried,
Feeling deeply but not drowning.
So this healing,
This adjustment that we brought in today,
I want you to breathe that in now into your whole body and just feel your energy field becoming stronger.
Now you can place both your hands on your heart and feel the calm and steady rhythm that you've brought in.
This is your anchor and this is your way back to yourself whenever the world feels too intense.
Remember that you can access this calm space anytime you need it.
Your sensitivity is a gift and you have the right to protect and manage it wisely.
Now take three gentle breaths,
Feeling yourself grounded in your own energy,
Knowing that you can move through the world with sensitivity and strength.
And now whenever you feel ready,
You can slowly open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of calm and protection with you.
Thank you very much for joining me today and Namaste.
