
Honouring The Roots: A Family Constellation Meditation

It is perfect for cultivating clarity, connection, and a renewed sense of freedom in your life.

So hi everyone and welcome to this guided meditation,
This guided journey.
So we'll do this journey today to connect with our ancestors,
To connect with our family system,
Our roots,
Honor them and release anything that we may have taken on from them that is not serving us.
Because on a subconscious level we are all part of a family system and we are all connected to those that came before us.
Now this can be our parents,
Grandparents and the whole lineage that I'm a part of.
And often they are experiences,
Stories,
Traumas,
Unresolved issues which may have originated,
Happened to someone else.
But that event,
That experience,
That memory,
That story is affecting me and how I experience the world.
So this journey is about going to my roots,
Honoring them and releasing any burdens,
Patterns that I may have taken on which I no longer need.
Now just keep an open mind for this.
Anything that shows up,
That comes up for you today is exactly what you need to see,
What you need to experience.
Now,
Find a comfortable position where you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes.
Now you can do this sitting up,
Lying down or find a position or a posture that feels right for you,
That feels most comfortable for you.
Now simply begin by finding your breath.
So as you're sitting up,
Lying down in this relaxed posture,
Find your breath.
Now I'll begin to soften my gaze,
Bringing my attention,
Bringing my focus back to my breathing.
And at this stage,
I'll also begin to soften my gaze.
And if my body allows,
I can very gently close my eyes.
Now,
Consciously breathing in through my nose and exhaling through my mouth.
Now let's take the breath a little bit lower this time.
So consciously inhaling through the nose,
Going all the way down to your stomach and exhaling through your mouth.
Now continue to take a few breaths like this.
In through the nose,
All the way down to the stomach and out through your mouth.
Relax.
As I inhale,
My body begins to soften,
My body begins to relax.
And as I exhale,
I release any tension,
Any resistance,
Any tightness that I may be holding onto.
Feeling more and more and more relaxed.
Now my thoughts may have slowed down at this moment.
My body may be feeling a bit heavier.
And I'm falling deeper and deeper and deeper.
Into my own body.
Into my subconscious mind.
Now from this state,
Feeling a little bit more relaxed.
Take your attention now to the top of your head.
Now I'll ask you to visualize or imagine that there is a ray of light now at the top of your head.
This can be any color.
Bring this ray of light down into your body.
So from the top of your head,
This ray of light goes to your forehead.
Completely relaxing your forehead.
Then down to your eyes.
Once again relaxing the eyelids completely.
Then to your nose.
Your lips.
Your throat.
Your shoulders.
Arms,
Your hands.
Your chest,
Your heart.
Your stomach.
Both your legs,
Your knees,
Your calves and your feet.
This light now goes to the back of your body.
Neck,
Shoulder blades,
Hips,
Hamstrings,
Spine.
Back of your legs.
And now your whole body is covered in this light.
Feeling heavy,
Calm and relaxed.
Now I want you to put your left palm on your heart center.
And now breathe into your heart.
So my left palm is on my heart center.
And I am now breathing into my heart.
Now as my heart center expands.
As my heart center opens.
As I fall deeper into this relaxation into my body.
Now visualize.
Now when we visualize.
You may or may not see.
What I am guiding you to see.
And that's okay.
If there is anything else that's showing up for you.
Trust that unconditionally.
So from this expanded heart space.
I am now visualizing myself.
Standing in an open field.
Now this is a beautiful open field.
Maybe the air is fresh.
Maybe I can see the sun.
I can feel the sun rays on my body.
I can feel the ground,
The earth beneath my feet.
And if you find yourself somewhere else.
Trust.
Whatever is being shown to me right now.
Is exactly where I need to be.
This is exactly what I need to see.
Now we will spend the next few minutes.
Trying to explore this place.
I am in an open field.
And I am just familiarizing myself with this place now.
I want you to find.
A body of water.
Where you are.
A river.
A stream,
A pond.
Just find a body of water there for me.
Wherever you are.
Just give yourself time and space to find.
A body of water there for you.
Now at this stage I will start to follow.
This body of water that I am seeing.
So maybe it's a river.
Maybe it's a stream.
Just follow this body of water now.
So in your open field.
In your vision.
Wherever life has taken you.
Just walk along this water body.
And notice that every step that I take.
I am going deeper and deeper and deeper.
Into the field.
Into my subconscious mind.
And I am feeling more and more and more and more relaxed.
Now as you are following the stream.
You now find in front of you.
There is a tree.
Now I am going to spend the next few seconds.
Just noticing this tree that I see in front of me.
I look up to see how high.
The tree goes.
The branches.
Then I look down at the roots.
I am just letting myself see,
Feel,
Sense the energy of this thing.
This tree.
That has now emerged in front of me.
As I followed the body of water.
Now as I stand in front of this tree.
And look down at the roots of this tree.
You can say this to yourself.
Silently or out loud.
These are my roots.
And we will say this once again.
These are my roots.
Now as I say these words and I look up.
I will now see.
That from the tree.
I first see my father.
On my right side.
And then what emerges from my tree is my mother.
On the left side.
Behind my father.
I can see my grandparents.
From my father's side.
And behind.
My mother.
I can see my grandparents.
From my mother's side.
Now behind them.
I may see my grandparents.
I may see other ancestors.
I may see other souls that I may not recognize.
So I am just letting this vision come to me now.
This is us just using visualization and intention.
So I am connecting with my roots.
Father on my right,
Mother on my left.
Ancestors from my father's side.
Behind him,
Those that came before my mother on her side.
And I am just standing and looking at them.
Observing.
Now in this process.
I may feel.
Just by noticing their presence.
How small I am.
How little I am.
And I may also sense the strength and connection.
That I am a part of.
As I feel the energy of my ancestors who are standing in front of me now.
We now say.
I honor those that came before me.
I honor those that came before me.
Now.
For this general healing.
I am looking at all my ancestors now in front of me.
I am feeling their strength,
I am feeling their energy.
Now somewhere in this connection.
There may be certain emotions,
Patterns,
Burdens or stories.
That I may have taken on.
Unconsciously.
Which may not be serving me.
So for this I say.
Dear ancestors.
Any burdens.
Memories.
Stories.
Patterns.
Beliefs or thoughts.
That I may have taken on from you.
Consciously.
Or unconsciously.
I am now leaving them with you.
Now just letting my words guide you.
I am now going to see.
A small fire.
Now there is a small fire between me.
And all my ancestors who are in front of me.
I have just made an intention.
That if there is anything I may have taken on from them.
I can now leave it with them.
I can now release it.
Now I want you to imagine for the next few seconds.
Gently out of respect and honor.
Placing any burdens or patterns.
That you no longer wish to carry.
Just drop them in the fire.
Now.
This can be something that you are aware of in your life.
Or this can be something.
That you are releasing on an unconscious,
Subconscious level.
So let this fire take now.
Those patterns.
Those burdens.
That you no longer wish to carry.
Stand there in front of the fire.
Your ancestors are on the other side of the fire.
And now these words you can repeat after me.
Silently or out loud.
This does not belong to me.
I can set it free.
This does not belong to me.
I can set it free.
I honor where it came from.
And I create space for healing.
I honor where it came from.
And I create space for healing.
Now taking a deep breath.
And feeling that shift of energy.
Feeling that release in your body.
Now with your burdens released.
Take your attention now back to your family line.
Back to your ancestors.
Now for this part we'll imagine a warm light.
Golden or white.
Or any other color.
Which is now flowing from your ancestors.
And going into your body.
So as I've released this energy.
Released the patterns that no longer serve me.
I am now taking in this light.
This healing from my ancestors.
So see,
Visualize or sense this light going in from them.
Into your body.
Now this is strength.
This is wisdom.
And this is unconditional love.
This is strength.
This is wisdom.
And this is unconditional love.
Now we'll just spend a few seconds.
Receiving this healing.
Receiving this light.
Now as we are receiving this.
You're welcome to repeat these words after me.
I carry the love,
Strength and wisdom of my ancestors with me.
I carry the love,
Strength and wisdom of my ancestors with me.
I honor my roots and all that they have given me.
I honor my roots and all that they have given me.
Now this healing,
This light,
This support from them to you is becoming stronger.
And stronger and stronger.
Any sensations that I feel in my body.
Any warmth,
Tingling,
Cold,
Tightness.
Anything else that may be coming up.
I accept it as part of this healing.
Now at this stage.
I can either pause this recording.
And continue to take in more light,
More healing,
More love and more strength.
Or we'll now start to make our way back.
Now before we leave the tree.
We'll say this to all our ancestors,
To the whole family system.
Thank you for this healing.
I honor,
Acknowledge and respect you.
Thank you for this healing.
Now I'll turn back.
And I'll start to walk the same path that I took to find the tree.
I'm now walking away from the tree.
Back to the field.
Back to the field.
Back to the field.
Back to the field.
Now it's just me in an empty field once again.
Now.
At this stage.
We start to travel back.
And bring our awareness.
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down.
My awareness is at the top of my head.
It's at my forehead,
My nose,
My lips,
My throat,
My shoulders,
My arms,
My hands.
My heart,
My stomach,
My legs,
My feet.
Slowly,
Gently.
I'll bring my awareness back to the room around me.
Back to my body.
To the surface beneath me.
To the sounds.
To my space.
Very gently I'll wiggle my fingers,
I'll wiggle my toes.
Get a little bit of movement into my body.
And at this stage.
When I feel ready.
I can open my eyes.
Now thank you for taking the time.
To honour your family system.
Your ancestors.
And to connect with your roots.
Now remember.
This healing is not about releasing.
But it's about recognising.
The love and strength.
That you are a part of.
That always flows through you.
Now.
Carry this sense of belonging and strength with you.
And see how this impacts your experience in the world.
