Connecting With Joy
Hi! In this meditation we are going to focus on connecting with your inner child and the memories of your childhood. Being a kid is the most joyful expression in life, and the emotion of joy is rooted in this time of your life: loving life in all things, bringing curiosity and be in awe with discovering the world day by day. Bring your child back into your life with this meditation for accepting, forgiving, and loving that child in you.

Welcome,
My name is Helena Stokzil,
I'm very grateful I'm enjoying having you here for this meditation practice.
We're going to focus on the feeling of joy,
The emotion of joy.
Ideally its biggest expression comes from the childhood.
The most simple things that we enjoy when we were kids,
The rawest emotion,
The experience of understanding,
Exploring and seeing the world through the eyes of innocence and joy.
Please start by taking your seated position,
Whether you are in a chair or in a cushion and notice if you are stable and comfortable,
At ease,
Maybe with the feet rounding on the floor or maybe just feet separated,
Comfortable.
With your hands maybe on your thighs or on your knees,
Noticing your long spine,
Relaxing your shoulders,
Gently bringing your chin close to your chest and noticing how your face starts to relax.
Take this moment for just noticing your space,
Your state of mind and your body,
Even your emotions.
Try to settle all these elements as best as you can on your seated position,
Getting ready for your meditation and start by taking a couple of deep breaths in and out and through each breath you are releasing tension,
Maybe some tightness,
Noticing your belly expanding with each inhalation,
Your belly collapsing with each exhalation,
Inhaling,
Exhaling and just let it go.
Softening your gaze or maybe closing your eyes.
Now I invite you to bring your attention maybe to your eyes or your face,
Noticing the softness in your eyelids,
Your eyebrows,
Clenching your jaw and if you need to find it necessary you can also take a couple of just rounds on your head,
Turning your head,
Chin close to your shoulder and then the opposite side and just fully relax your neck.
Noticing your shoulders,
Noticing all the weight directly on your hips and your bules,
Noticing the heaviness of your body and again if there is maybe some part of your body that maybe you can soften,
Release and through your breath please do so.
If you have any sensitivity,
Any discomfort in your body just take a moment for bringing awareness into that area and just accepting things as they are.
Noticing your stable and steady in this moment.
Noticing your heart and your emotions,
Softening and wherever is arising just with kindness and compassion,
Notice that,
Accept that,
Be aware with your whole presence.
The meditation of today is about joy,
Also known as Mudita and with just your presence here in your seated position allow yourself to just open the sensation,
The awareness into the joy,
Into the compassion as you relax.
And just look how it happens with joy throughout experiences in your life,
Sometimes it stays,
Sometimes it goes,
Sometimes some experiences are warmer,
Enjoyable,
Just as life,
Just as any human emotion.
Whether we are trying to grasp into that emotion of joy or just taking a moment for reconnecting again into that emotion of maybe your childhood.
So take a moment or maybe visualize or maybe thinking on someone,
Whether it is a person in the past or in the present,
Maybe someone that you can picture easily on your mind,
Whether this person brings you positive experiences,
Neutral or maybe some difficult experiences,
Just take this moment for just holding that person in your heart.
Imagine that person,
Maybe this is childhood,
Maybe you have absolutely no idea how this childhood was,
But maybe you can visualize that maybe hopefully brought great memories to this person and if maybe you are thinking that that didn't happen,
Allow yourself to just feel compassion for that person.
Take a deep breath in,
Inhaling and in your exhaling just release that person,
That emotion and send all your present tensions to that person.
Take this moment for visualize,
You,
Visualize yourself as you were a child and think about the age at that time that you are visualizing yourself,
Maybe you were 7,
Maybe you were 12,
Take a moment for just think and why,
How is that age is important for you as part of your visualization.
Maybe at that time you had your happiest moment as a child,
Your best experiences,
Many achievements,
Maybe a lot of running,
Maybe a lot of laughing moments,
Playing,
Friends and think at this moment for just noticing your body,
Maybe your smile.
Allow yourself to just feel those experiences as you were a child.
Visualize maybe your most joyful moment or moments,
What you were doing,
What you were thinking and feeling.
Remember that that person long time ago is still you,
You can always connect to that feeling of joy anytime in your adulthood.
Whether it is experiencing those feelings by yourself or maybe with someone else.
Allow yourself to add more of these experiences in your life,
Connecting with you.
The child that is still alive in you.
And start to wondering what happened next.
You got strong,
You got maybe tall,
You got more responsibilities,
Experiences.
Or you still have that spirit,
You still have that kid that enjoys all those things and you still do.
Remember that spirit and try to bring that spirit directly into your body.
Find that warmth,
The sensation in your body,
The exhilaration for the most simple things in your life.
How much do you need for you to be happy?
You remember your joy.
May you remember to be joyful and happy day by day.
May the causes of your joy and well-being and happiness grow strong.
May you live in joy.
May you live connected in the spirit of your child.
May you live in peace.
May you live healthy.
May you always love that child in you.
May you support the inner child in you.
May you love that inner child in you.
May you protect that child in you.
And take a moment once again to connect with the emotion of joy and share it to the people that you care,
To the people that maybe needs to connect more with their child.
Maybe to connect with those kids,
Young ones that might need protection.
Maybe to connect with them in the middle of the day,
The spring of their lives.
Now take a moment to visualize and remember all the people that were with you in the time of your childhood,
Parents,
Friends,
The people that you stopped seeing.
And bring that into your mind,
Into your heart.
And with all that delight and feeling of joy,
Just wish and pray for them to stay connected with the joy of their inner child.
May the experience of joy stay connected with your loving beings.
May the experience of joy stay in their hearts.
May the joy stay in their hearts.
May the joy stay in their lives.
May the spirit of their inner child stay strong in their hearts.
May they live in peace.
May they live in love.
May they live and experience joy.
May they always live in peace.
Once again,
Just release that visualization of your mind.
Take a moment for once again bringing any experience in your mind,
Remembering the best experience of joy.
Maybe the experiences that remember you as a person,
As a child growing,
Maturing and still feeling the heart of a child,
Laughing,
Playing,
Running.
Visualize experiences where maybe you can remember smell,
That time where you could eat whatever you want with no guilt.
Notice the feeling,
The smell.
Maybe your mouth starts watering.
Feeling that smile you have in them,
Having it on them.
The experience of just enjoying it.
Maybe it was food,
Maybe it was games,
Maybe it was people.
Maybe you can remember taste,
Sounds.
Anything that just brings you joy or connects you with your childhood.
May your happiness,
Well-being and joy grow stronger in my life.
May I be joyful.
May I remember the experiences of my life with love,
Compassion,
Loving kindness.
May the feeling of joy stays in my heart and grows day by day over the years.
May the causes of my happiness and well-being stays and grows stronger in my life.
May the causes of happiness,
Well-being and joy grow stronger in the lives of my loving beings.
May the causes of happiness,
Well-being and joy grow stronger in the lives of all the humans in this world.
Take a deep breath in,
Inhaling,
Noticing the joy in your heart,
Belly,
Body,
Mind and release it through the rest of the world.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Once again,
Inhaling,
Release all the joy and experience in your body and release it to the rest of your loving beings,
Friends,
Wishing them to stay connected with their joy.
Thank you so much for allowing me to guide you in this practice.
It was an honor and a joy to be here for you.
May the joy and the peace be always with you.

Thank you ππ»π for reminding me of my joyful times in my childhood. One so often chooses to remember the bad times. I think I have to listen to it some times more to actually feel the joy, but I will definitely try ππ§π»π

Thank you for this beautiful passage into the past and the suggestion that we can recapture those long past times of sheer joi de vivre. May we all be able to find those feelings anew even with the mantle of adulthood upon us.
