Transcript
Welcome friends.
This meditation is about connecting to your creativity.
Removing any creative blocks.
And opening that channel to the creativity within you.
It's almost as though we have this connection to an energy.
Whether it be a song,
Whether it be a work of art,
Whether it be the meal that you're preparing.
As we calm and remove that connection to the daily distractions,
We allow ourselves to open up to that higher level of energy.
That energy that is inspiring,
In flow,
And more harmonious to our very being.
As we start off this meditation,
Let's simply check our environment.
Making sure that we are sitting in a comfortable place or lying down.
Just making sure that you are where you would like to be.
If you're sitting,
Take a moment,
Putting your feet flat on the ground,
Or properly supported.
Making sure that your back,
Your neck,
Your hands are all in comfortable positions.
I prefer spine straight,
Shoulders back.
I prefer having my hands on my knees in a supported fashion.
Turning my attention to the breath.
If this works for you,
If this is in harmony with who you are,
Join me in this moment,
Focusing on our breath.
Breathing in through our nose,
Holding,
And breathing out through our mouth in a long,
Slow exhale,
And holding at the bottom.
As you continue to breathe,
Just allow yourself to detach from any thing,
Any thought,
Any memory,
Any feeling that is holding you or blocking your creative energy.
Notice that as we sit here and simply breathe,
That we feel that we are starting to be more at peace,
More in harmony,
More in line with our true self.
Letting it go.
Notice any muscles that could be slightly stressed or tight.
You can first try just simply relaxing them.
If you feel any tension still,
Or even if you don't,
Try tightening them,
Try tensing them and then relaxing again,
Noticing that those muscles relax even further.
Notice any sounds that you may hear,
And just use them as a mantra,
As a focal point for relaxation.
In the background,
I hear the rhythmic hum of laundry being done,
Being cleaned,
And I send that gratitude,
Appreciation,
And thanks.
Breathing out,
Letting go of any need for anything to be any other way than it is right now.
Feel how good it feels to simply bring that energy down an entire level,
Relaxing even more.
Continue to focus on your breath,
Finding yourself at complete peace.
Ahh.
Notice your gratitude,
Or offer thanks.
If any thought comes up,
Say hello,
Let it go on its way.
If you have any feeling come up,
Just notice it,
And then let it go.
Noticing that you are relaxing every time you let a feeling go,
Let a thought go.
Finding everything being so relaxing.
Release any tension that you feel in your stomach,
In your chest,
In your neck.
Breathing deeply through your nose,
And then as you exhale through your mouth,
Let it go.
Noticing how much better it feels to let it go.
Just continue breathing.
Continue emptying your mind.
Don't try to seek anything but awareness of where your focus is.
And even if your focus wanders to some other place than where you started,
Whether it be in your breath or someplace else,
Just bring your focus back,
Noticing more detail,
Noticing any movement or texture,
Any sound.
Allow yourself to even relax even more,
Letting go of the last bit of tension.
Sometimes it's helpful to visualize opening a door to your creativity.
Sometimes it's helpful to imagine opening a door to your creativity,
And we can do that by going down a few flights of steps,
Opening a door and seeing what it is that we see.
And so if you are ready to open up that channel,
That creative energy,
Just come down the steps.
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Just feeling yourself relaxing even more,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Allowing yourself to feel more relaxed at peace,
Three,
Two,
One.
And allow yourself to be down at the bottom of the stairs.
And whenever you're ready,
Just imagine a door in front of you.
And notice that you can enter through this door easily,
That you are feeling relaxed,
You're feeling in flow,
In harmony.
And as you connect to this feeling,
Notice that you can easily step into this space of creativity,
Feeling the energy,
That creative flow,
That creative spirit,
Noticing that it is almost as though whatever it is that you are going to create is already created here,
As if it is already done.
And you are just freeing something that already exists,
Whether it's through words or a paintbrush,
Whether it's through a sculpting tool or a kitchen utensil.
Whatever your tool for creating is that is available to you right now,
Hold and imagine the thought of your most beautiful work right in front of you.
Enjoy that relaxation,
Enjoy that feeling.
And even if the work isn't coming easily in this moment,
Know that that energy exists.
It will surface when it is ready,
And there's no effort you'll need to provide,
Just like a plant will burst through the ground when it is ready for sunlight.
If your work is not ready at this moment,
It will be soon.
Simply nurture your spirit,
Nurture your energy,
And know that your work will come.
Take a deep breath,
Breathing in through the nose,
And breathing out gratitude.
Whatever it is that you see that you know will be created,
That you know is already in your mind.
Allow yourself to relax,
Enjoying this sensation,
This feeling.
Know that every detail,
Everything that you need to do to create this work of art is now in your mind,
Having studied it fully.
Simply allow that image to come forward whenever you need it,
So that if you are drawing a picture that you're simply tracing what it is that you see in your mind.
If you're writing a book,
You're simply sharing the story that you had heard in your mind.
And if you are an artist,
Notice that you are in control.
So now just take a deep breath,
Connecting with this energy in this moment,
And thanking your subconscious for all the work that it is doing.
Taking a deep breath in bringing forward anything that you need to bring forward that will serve you in the work that you are creating in your creative endeavor.
And know that you are enough.
Breathing in fully,
And breathing out,
Coming back up those stairs you descended.
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Bringing with you any knowledge,
Any creative idea,
Image,
Thought that comes with you.
But most importantly,
Bringing with you that sense of peace,
That sense of connection,
That relaxation.
As you take your time and come back,
Stretch your arms,
Roll your shoulders,
Take a deep breath,
And notice how much more relaxed you do feel.
If you are feeling creative at this moment,
If you have a clear image in mind,
Jot down that image.
If there is something that you need to do later,
It is okay to imprint that message onto a glass of water and drink that water.
Before you start the project,
Before you start the creation,
Simply drink the other half of that glass when you are ready.
And notice whatever it is that comes up for you when you are ready to create.
Continue to breathe,
Continue to come back,
And whenever you're ready,
Whenever you feel like you are fully present,
Or you're ready to drift off to sleep,
Allow yourself to be where you need to be,
Present as you need to be,
And clear in mind as best serves you.
