My name is Leonie Lam and I am a career coach,
Corporate trainer and speaker.
The purpose of this meditation is to help you visualise success in your job interview.
I personally wish you peace,
Calm and success in your upcoming interview.
I invite you to close your eyes as it will help you effectively visualise the interview.
I will invite the sound of the bell to commence our visualisation together.
We will begin with three rounds of breathing exercises.
Breathing in,
I'm aware that I'm breathing in.
Breathing out,
I'm aware that I'm breathing out.
Breathing in,
I am aware that I'm breathing in.
Breathing out,
I am aware that I'm breathing out.
Breathing in,
I am aware that I am breathing in.
Breathing out,
I am aware that I'm breathing out.
Connect with your body,
Your mind and your heart.
Imagine arriving at the interview with your body,
Your mind and your heart.
Imagine arriving at the interview location,
10 minutes before the interview.
You approach the receptionist,
You smile,
You introduce your name and you let the receptionist know that you are here for a job interview.
The receptionist walks you to the interview room and you are invited to take a seat and wait for the interviewers.
You place your notes,
Pen and paper,
On the table.
You take a seat,
Making yourself comfortable in your chair.
Take some deep breaths using the words,
Breathing in,
I'm aware I'm breathing in.
Breathing out,
I'm aware that I'm breathing out.
You feel slightly nervous,
But also excited at the same time.
It is natural to feel nervous at job interviews and the interviewers understand this.
It is also good to feel excited.
Simply acknowledge and honour your feelings.
And remember,
You have been invited for an interview,
Which means you have the relevant experience,
Knowledge and skills for the role.
The interviewers arrive in the meeting room.
They greet you with a smile.
You smile with enthusiasm and you speak to them clearly and confidently.
You take a seat,
The interview begins.
The interviewers ask you questions.
You actively listen to the questions.
You may be able to write some keynotes to help you prepare your responses.
You may be able to write some keynotes to help you prepare your responses.
You respond with confidence,
Speaking clearly and calmly.
You provide relevant examples.
You notice the interviewers are happy with your responses.
They are nodding their heads,
They are taking notes and asking additional questions.
You can see they are interested in you and your experience.
You are happy that you have provided responses to all the questions.
The interview comes to an end and you end the interview on a positive note.
You thank each and every interviewer and let them know you are looking forward to hearing from them soon.
You smile,
Showing your gratitude and excitement for the role.
You smile,
Showing your gratitude and excitement for the role.
The interviewers stand up to say goodbye to you.
You slowly stand up,
Shake their hands and confidently walk out of the meeting room.
You know that you did your very best in the interview.
You are happy with yourself.
Congratulations,
You have completed the visualisation of your upcoming interview.
I personally wish you all the best.
May you be at peace.
May you be happy.
