
Easing Anxiety
Want a lovely recharge? This gentle, voice-only guided imagery invites you to return to a place of deep ease, comfort and peace. It will generally relax someone who's at a 7/10 (or less) on the stress-scale. Listening can support calm, offers a deep, nourishing recharge and helps you stay more resourced for everything else that's going on. It's only 20 minutes long. Taking a few moments now to settle in and settle down just setting aside 20 minutes or so to return to a place of deep ease and comfort so you can begin to arrange yourself in a comfortable position and beginning just by noticing your breath noticing the rhythm of your breathing notice how you're breathing in and breathing out and now just see how comfortable and relaxed you might want to feel letting yourself settle back getting as comfortable as you can settling back in whatever way is most comfortable for you right now not having to do anything special just allowing yourself to settle back and you might like to put your hands at your sides or on your lap you might like to let your feet just stretch out and relax and continuing to breathe easily and naturally aware of the sensations in your body as you breathe letting your eyelids really close all the way so that with your eyelids closed you can continue to be aware of your breath aware of the sensations with every breath you take and as you continue just notice just notice as you continue each time you exhale noticing a little more relaxation a little more comfort each time you exhale noticing the feeling of warmth in the muscles across your back your chest as you allow yourself to relax allow your shoulders to relax your neck your forehead your jaw your chin you can allow your belly to relax yeah feeling the relaxation and comfort spreading through your systems so it's almost as if your body is just beginning to rest almost as if you're beginning to rest resting back with your eyes closed breathing easily and allowing yourself to notice your experience from one moment to the next and noticing how comfortable you're becoming you can become so comfortable that you don't even know if you are in the comfort or the comfort is in you and now drawing in one long deep breath that seems to come up from the very depths of your being releasing that breath one long big sigh letting go of anything that might be holding you back from full relaxation full comfort and with that deep long exhale taking another breath now and this time letting it come from a place even deeper and more peaceful than last time feel your body as it settles more fully into the place that you're resting immersing yourself in the warmth and safety really know that you're safe and sound and you can continue to feel secure all is well and now as you continue to breathe deeply and fully your body relaxing more and more with each breath drawing in peace drawing in serenity you can imagine yourself on a gently sloping hillside somewhere out in nature wherever it is that feels really comfortable to you and you can notice that there are ten levels going down and each level that you go down you can become more and more relaxed more and more comfortable so that when you get down to level one you will be all the way down to the bottom of relaxation that simple,
Quiet,
Comfortable place inside and the sound of my voice will take you deeper and deeper in you're on level ten now and feeling how as soon as you take your first step you can sense the peace,
The relaxation of this place moving down to level nine more and more relaxed letting go of all your cares and thoughts beginning to bring a really deep opening to any part of you that might have been holding stress and anxiety letting it open now begin to really soften moving down to level eight calm and relaxed calm and relaxed whenever conscious thoughts come into your mind you can go back to the words calm and relaxed to quiet those thoughts and you're moving down now to level seven your shoulders are really relaxing really beginning to soften,
Release so deeply and your whole back and spine is really relaxed now soft,
Relaxed and your chest and your belly,
Your heart really beginning to deeply relax soften and open letting go of any cares or troubles letting these begin just to dissolve away,
Melt away letting the space that's made be filled with deep comfort deep peace and moving down now to level six letting your mind relax really deeply as well as your body calm and relaxed calm and relaxed deeper and deeper into calm into relaxation into comfort letting deep openness and release come to any part of you that's been holding letting it soften now letting stress and anxiety begin to dissolve away,
Melt away letting a deep sense of comfort,
Ease,
Peace take its place any sounds that you hear,
Any sensations that you feel can become a reminder that you can go deeper and deeper into relaxation into peace,
Into comfort you're moving down to level five now,
You're halfway down feeling your body more and more loose and relaxed just melting into the place that you're resting your muscles really letting go your forehead,
Your neck letting go your back,
The muscles in your arms and legs letting go any place,
Any part that's holding letting go,
Letting go letting any stress dissolve away,
Release becoming instead place of deep ease and peace deep comfort and goodness moving down to level four now,
Going deeper and deeper,
More and more relaxed letting go,
Releasing letting any cares dissolve away feeling those places becoming filled with deep comfort deep ease,
Deep peace moving down now to level three when you get down to level one you'll be all the way down to the bottom of relaxation all the way down to deep peace and comfort opening,
Releasing letting any anxiety melt away,
Dissolving away replaced by deep peace,
Deep comfort deep relaxation and you can let that opening and releasing go deeper and deeper as you move down now to level two so completely releasing and relaxing and letting go letting all those spaces be filled with relaxation deep comfort,
Deep peace and goodness and moving down now,
Down to the very bottom of relaxation down to the very bottom of peace and comfort and openness down into that still,
Good,
Quiet place inside and enjoying this deep comfort,
This deep rest,
This spaciousness letting these good feelings fill up every part of you with this deep rest,
Deep comfort and peace so that every part of you is so gently and beautifully filled with ease and comfort and peace and you can let these good feelings grow so that you're not sure if you are the deep peace or if the deep peace is you you can even let the deep peace begin to shine out from inside of you like a light or maybe like an energy that surrounds you so that you're existing in a big beautiful ball of comfort,
Deep peace and ease so much that you can let it expand out so that it fills the universe,
It can fill everything that there is with deep rest,
Deep peace letting it shine out,
Expand out and here you are in this place that you are resting bathed in deep comfort deep rest,
Deep peace in a universe of deep comfort and peace and so slowly and gently you can begin to integrate this experience knowing that this deep ease this deep peace and comfort can continue while you're awake and while you're asleep and in all kinds of ways that you haven't even noticed yet and so when you begin to know that this is fully yours you can begin to reorient to the outside world coming back so slowly,
So gently that you can bring back whatever you like into the outside world knowing that your inner self has been listening so carefully and will take whatever actions are best for you and when you're ready taking a nice big breath maybe wiggling your fingers and toes after having been still for so long and allowing yourself to come back to your waking consciousness calm,
Relaxed,
Comfortable,
Clear ready for whatever comes next
